Very disappointed!
This government-funded Level 3 Diploma in Digital Marketing has been really disappointing. I started at the end of September, and the experience has been chaotic from the start. Both tutors left without telling us, and no one explained what was happening. Since then, lessons keep getting cancelled because the tutors are “ill,” so the course has no real consistency.
My assignment from October still haven’t been marked, which shows the admin and assessment process just isn’t working. On top of that, the units have been changed around. They now have different names and I find it very confusing trying to work out which ones I have left to do.
When I try to ask for help or get clarity on which units I should be working on, no one replies. It feels like there’s no support and no communication from the people running the course. Also some of the lessons are not available so you have to resort to listening to two to three year old recordings which is a lot in this subject. The tutor that does the recording is really good though, Craig Smith, I feel I almost know him better than the live tutors!
Right now, I wouldn’t recommend this programme. Even if reviews were good before, that definitely doesn’t match the experience we’re having now. I’d advise others to avoid it until they fix their admin issues, sort out the tutor situation, and start supporting learners properly.

We recently sent a detailed update to all learners regarding these transitions, which you should have received. As explained, we made a strategic decision to revise the curriculum to better align with employer feedback and awarding body requirements. Implementing these changes during live delivery, alongside unforeseen staffing transitions, unfortunately caused the disruption and confusion you experienced.
We are pleased to confirm that the new curriculum officially launched on 1st December. We have recruited an experienced Digital Marketing Tutor to restore consistency and are offering one-to-one support to help learners catch up where needed.
It is great to hear that, despite the challenges, you found Craig's recordings so valuable. We will certainly pass on your praise to him.

What a joke this course is
What a joke this course is. Firstly, there have been numerous tutors that have come and gone. Only one of which really should have stayed, Leanne, as she was excellent. However, the remainder are useless. I started this course in September and should be finished this week. However, I am still waiting on the lessons to materialise as every week it is cancelled due to the tutor of the day being off sick. When you do actually receive a lesson, all you get is a slide pack which the tutor reads out to you. It's painful to say the least. I really wanted to gain a new skill and was so eager to start this course. 3 months on and I'm in no better position than I started with. I have repeatedly emailed asking for help with various topics and have yet to receive a single reply. You are given assessment questions to answer as you go on throughout the course. I have submitted over half (of which are over 50 questions on my course) and have yet to have a single one marked. So you have no idea whether what you are doing is right. We keep being told that there is a small backlog and that 'they're working through it'. But from the chats during the classes, it would seem I am not the only one not to have had anything marked.
This is funded by the government, and I think they need to be made aware of what a sham this course is. They will be paid large sums of money I presume, for each student. So to deliver basically a slide pack for each lesson is a joke.
So disappointing.

I contacted Think Employment about a "free" course to assist in employment and was delighted to find out that it was, in fact, free.
The staff guided me through the application, step-by-step, and then supported me throughout the entire learning stage and beyond into applying for jobs with your new skills.
I could name staff, like Richard Osbourne (Tutor) and Charlotte Jones (Employer Engagement Manager) who take such pride in their work that they seem to exude flawlessness - but this would be unfair on all other employees whose names I cannot remember but were similarly exemplary.

I’m so glad I chose the TA course with Think Employment! This really was a right decision for me. The course is designed perfectly to suit my needs and fits my personality very well.

Where do I start. I have had an amazing experience with Adele and Andrea. Both individuals are professional and supported me through my L2 course. AMAZING
My experience was great I had lovely people, kind people working with. my take away will be the live session the coaches were good with us very encouraging they included everyone whether small or big contribution you made. Another area was the questions were not straightforward questions and it did sometime throw me off a bit, So, I will suggests if the questions could be simplify for people with Dyslexia. Positive!
Overall, I had a great experience with Think Employment.
I enrolled in the Level 3 Data Analytics course, which was very well run considering it’s fully remote. The enrolment process was straightforward, the live sessions were well organised, and the timetable was thoughtfully planned. The online platform isn’t great, but it keeps all the information in one place — and it’s clear that improvements are being made all the time.
The course provides a solid starting point for anyone looking to move into data analytics. It covers different areas and quite practical if you have never use any of the tools.
Our tutor, Andy, was highly experienced and knowledgeable in the subject. He was patient when answering questions during the live sessions and provided excellent support afterwards as well.
Career Advisor Matt was also very responsive to emails and supportive throughout the course. (Although I did find that some tutors were not as strong as others.)
My only suggestion would be to make the assessment information a little clearer at the start of the course. It would also be great to have a WhatsApp group or similar platform so that learners can communicate and support each other. (This may have changed since I joined, but at the time there wasn’t any communication set up between learners.)
It’s fantastic that the course is completely free, and the learners were all enthusiastic and motivated. People from different backgrounds and age groups came together to learn, which was truly inspiring to see.
