Wish I had ordered elsewhere, definitely will next time

On 4 December I ordered a foil board with the usual accessories. SupCo delivered a board that was similar but not the one I ordered, and without any foot straps or foil fixings. After many emails I reluctantly agreed to keep the board for a discount, on condition that they would supply the missing foot straps and foil fixings. They sent three foot straps instead of the four needed, and an incomplete set of foil fixings. So at this point, after several weeks and many emails, I have the wrong board that I can’t fit a foil to with foot straps that only work when sailing in one direction! At no point have SupCo apologised for their errors or the amount of my time they have wasted, let along actually resolve the problems. I will of course take the matter further with SupCo, my credit card company and Trading Standards, until I get what I ordered and have paid for, but if SupCo were a good company interested in customer service and satisfaction, rather than just profit, I wouldn’t have to go through all this hassle. Good luck if you order from them, personally I never will again.

Good service

Bought 2 Sups 12 months apart both deliveries arrived intact next day as promised. One delivery had the wrong SUP (same brand different model) This was corrected with a phone call and the board was swapped the following day by the courier. Good service no complaints!

I made an order of an in stock item…

I made an order of an in stock item with next day delivery selected this week for a Christmas present, by the end of the week the item had not arrived and I had no update from the company. I reached out to ask for an update and they responded that the item was in pre order status and not due til the end of Feb.

Don't buy from this website if you're looking for something delivered in any time frame, the stock status on the website is wrong, and there's no way to find out unless you reach out to them to ask the reason of the delay.

Really bad customerservice!

Hi,
I live in Holland and I recently (27/52020) ordered a hardbody/composite sup from The Supcompany. During ordering the owner Tony Jones was friendly and forthcoming but when it came to shipping/ delivery things turned bad. To start with delivery took way longer than promised. I got in contact with Tony several times asking him to provide me, again as promised, with a time and date for delivery but he was unable to provide me with a time or even a date. And when the first delivery failed because the driver apparently could not find my adress he again could/would not provide me with any info on a new delivery date " because he could not get in contact with them". However he did leave me a phonenumber to contact them myself. This proved to be the wrong number and only after several calls (even to England) I was able to plan the delivery. All and all this took quite some time and maybe it wasn' t their mess but I was the one that had to clean it. I find this to be completely unacceptable. When my sup finally got delivered (9/5/2020) I carefully inspected the box for damages etc. but it looked fine. I unpacked it the same evening only to find a big dent in the bottom of the board the next morning in broad daylight. I immediately contacted Tony, told him I carefully inspected the box, send him multiple pictures of both the dent and the box to show him there really was no damage visible and asked him for a response. Because he did not react I urged him to. He then reacted by asking me "Did you have the driver make a note of the damages when you accepted delivery?" As if he had not even read what I had already explained to him. I then repeated there was no damage visible and therefore there was no damage to report to the driver... Since then I have heard nothing from him. He did not even have the courtesy to respond when I sent him a reminder a couple of times. I think he feels he can get away with this kind of behaviour because I live abroad and it is almost impossible to start any legal procedure. So if you life outside the UK and are thinking about ordering from The Supcompany I would really think again! If you need them they will not be there to fall back on. Warranty clearly means nothing to them. I am writing all this down because I am incredibly disappointed and it is the only way to prevent other people from having the same experience. And to be clear: Yes I can substantiate all I have written! Read less

Missing parts, billed for shipping (suposely free), poor after sale service

Very bad experience with this site...
I ordered a starboard inflatable windsup, it arrived in a week, but some parts were missing.
I even asked before ordering for the content of the package, to be sure that what was on the image would be shipped.
But when it arrived, one of the footstraps was missing, as well as the leash.
When I contacted them, they always take days before answering. They just sent me the footstrap, but I'm still waiting for the leash.
Even worse: I recently received a bill from DPD (the transporter) asking me to pay for the shipping fee (>80£) when it was supposed to be free.
Still no news from them about that.
Will not order there anymore, would not recommend.

I was happy. . .But

I bought an O’neill Santa fade isup from thesupco, things seemed good until after the first use of it when the paddle wouldn’t dismantle, it now sticks out of the bag, not good. I contacted thesupco but I’ve been ignored. It’s a pity as I’ve just bought the Titan pump due to the O’neill One being so weak & flimsy. I get why O’neill Santa fade has such a good deal, it is due to the quality being so low. It’s a great pity as I had great respect for O’neill From back in the day. It will be my very last buy from thesupco.

Happy now

I was happy with the service from Tony to start with then things have slowly gone down hill.

They had to send a cheaper paddle as the one they originally said was out of stock, I have paid in advance for this and still awaiting the refund? I'm also waiting for the leash as they missed this out of the order again paid for and still no sign of it.

I have emailed on many occasions but no reply.

A bit of a shame as the company showed promise at the start, let's hope they can restore my faith.

Update: I have just been chased up and told it will be resolved tomorrow (fingers crossed)

Superior customer service and followup

I recently purchased a 2016 Red Paddle Co 12'6 Sport Paddle Board Bundle and a 2016 Starboard Astro 11'2 Blend Paddle Board Bundle from The SUPCo UK and asked them to remove the VAT and ship export to Norway. This was no problem at all and Tony did a great job in organising a hassle free VAT exempt shipment to Norway using DPD/Interlink courier services. Tony arranged for me to pay using international bank transfer and then promptly despatched the boards using tracked delivery. Throughout the purchase process, Tony followed up with excellent communications by both phone and email, and never left me wondering about my purchase. There were a few minor logistics hiccups along the way, but Tony always came through and delivered true to his word, for which I am extremely grateful. I have no hesitation in providing an excellent customer review to The SUP Company UK and especially to Tony for his first class customer service. For anyone else wishing to purchase from Norway, this is the way to go as only liable to Norwegian VAT (25%) on imports of inflatable water sports goods into Norway. (These Sporting Goods items are Norwegian Toll duty exempt).

Awesome service!

Overall these guys were amazing and unlike most places, it's not all about getting you to buy something. As a beginner, choosing the right board can be daunting with so many different types on offer, but I received so much great honest advice. The aftercare is incredible and they stand out by far from any other water sports retailer! Having shopped around they couldn't be beaten on price and I even received my new Red Paddle 10.6 the very next day!
