I looked for a quote months ago, had a long phone call and they were very insistent on pushing me to get them when I said I just wanted a quote. Since then, they have called me regularly even after I've asked them to leave me alone and I've blocked their numbers. They keep calling me on new numbers, calling me on THREE new numbers just today! LEAVE ME ALONE.

I have a screen shot of exactly what Solar Geeks promise which I can't attach here but I will directly quote:
"Are you paying over £800 per month on your mortgage?
The Scottish Solar Programme is here to help.
You could get brand new solar panels for little to no cost out of pocket.
Join the 1.6million who have made huge savings with solar"
I'm posting this because you've written a response to a prior comment that you don't advertise solar panels as "free". If you don't want people to think they're free, I'd recommend you change your advertising because it's currently false.
I'm absolutely fed up of the Scottish Government wasting money on these companies and will be raising it with my local MSP.

Just to clarify, The Solar Geeks is not a government-backed company or government-funded scheme. We are an independent company that helps homeowners explore whether solar could be a suitable option for their property and circumstances.
Our advert states “little to no cost out of pocket,” which refers to finance options that can allow the cost of a system to be spread over time rather than paid upfront in one lump sum. At no point are we suggesting solar panels are “free” — although we’re sure most homeowners would agree we’d all be far better off if they were.
Our approach is simply to help people who are at the start of their journey looking to reduce their electricity bills. We check roof suitability, ask a few questions and help homeowners understand whether solar is likely to be a realistic option for them. If suitable, we may direct them to a company operating within their area that could help further. If not, at least they can make that decision without endless searching online or wasted appointments.
If you are specifically looking for grants or funding for home improvements, we would recommend speaking with your local council to see what may be available in your area.

Had a couple of companies out already so got a decent understanding of how solar works now. Just wanted to get three quotes to compare before making any decisions.
Spoke to Paul from these who really knows his stuff. Gave us everything we needed to know about the system and batteries without any messing about. Got them coming out to see us soon.

Good company to deal with
Good company to deal with. I’d made a few enquiries before and felt like I was just getting pushed into booking an appointment without anyone actually answering my questions.
Spoke to a lad called Mikey from this company, sound bloke. Explained everything properly and didn’t make it more complicated than it needed to be.
They’ve got me booked in for an assessment now so I can see if it works with my budget and longer term plans.

Glad I got in touch with them. We moved into a new build about a year ago and it only came with 2 solar panels on the roof but seem pretty pointless to be honest because I’ve not seen any real difference in the bills.
Spoke with these lot and they’ve been really helpful. Got them coming out to see if we can upgrade to a bigger, better system that actually makes a difference.

We hear this quite a lot with new builds to be honest—those smaller systems are usually just there to meet regulations, so they don’t always make a noticeable impact on bills.

Great experience overall. I didn’t have a clue about solar or how it all worked really, but after speaking to The Solar Geeks, everything made much more sense.
They explained things clearly, without any pressure, and helped me understand how it could actually benefit my home.
With everything going on at the moment in the world of energy, it’s no surprise more people are turning to solar. It definitely feels like something worth looking into.

Top notch service from them. I’ve been thinking about solar for sometime and spent hours looking online trying to get answers.
Honestly my advice is if you want those answers quicker just speak to them. I learnt more in a 10 minute call than I did from all that time searching online.

I’ll be honest I filled in the form and kind of regretted it at first, didn’t expect a call just thought I’d get a quote at the end.

I’ve been looking into solar for a while now but always struggled to find someone who actually knows what they’re talking abot.
