Opened in June 2022 as a mobile shop, The Roasted Bookery is a Wilmington, NC bookstore specializing in literature that celebrates diversity. Moving to the historic Castle Street District in November 2024, TRB continues to stock a curated selection of affordable books by BIPOC, API, and LGBTQIA+ authors, ensuring a rich tapestry of voices and narratives for all readers.. TRB has launched coffee and tea service to accompany our books and free wi-fi. Following the mantra that we are a bookstore that offers coffee (rather than being a coffee house with books), we offer pour over coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate for you to enjoy. We've recently partnered with local baker Cake Man's Bakes to offer pastries and cookies.

If There were a thousand stars on here, I would give The Roasted Bookery that amount of stars and more. They have been so supportive and encouraging to me as a local author and offering their space for me to host my workshops which is one of my passions. I am so grateful and thankful for Jerry and Erin. They are amazing souls!

I went into Roasted Bookery for the first time in person a few weeks ago. I was warmly greeted by my name when I came in and Erin had my online order packaged and ready to go.
Employees were knowledgeable and helpful. The event was fun, intimate and educational.
The Roasted Bookery is simply the best location in Wilmington for bibliophiles. A true community bookstore.
Erin and Jerry go the mile to be immersed in the Wilmington community and embrace minority and marginalized cultures.
This shop is such a beautiful place. It’s so welcoming and cozy. The selection of books is stuff you won’t find other places. The drinks and bakery items are all so delicious. The locally made knickknacks are so fun. It’s one of my favorite spots in town!
