Rip off prices & owner has a terrible attitude

Ordering and delivery were a breeze. The items I received are top-notch in quality and offer great value for the price. I highly recommend them, especially since they are environmentally friendly.

Bamboo toothbrushes arrived promptly. Perfectly minimally packaged - no plastics. Look as good as the picture - I'm sure that they will do the job well.

Loved the packaging of the loo roll!

Loved the products, I was looking for a place to shop sustainably and I am delighted I found the place.

The products are really high quality and the packaging is just beautiful! You always worry with some sustainable brands that you will compromise on quality but with these I’ve found the toilet paper and kitchen roll to be just as good as a top none sustainable brand!

Finally an eco friendly box of essentials! Have been after something like this for a while, from a brand I could trust and reuse!
Havent used any items from it yet but I can't wait!

I purchased a Bamboo Taster Box - web price £16.63 reduced to £5.50 with an affiliate offer code. However the website has a taster box with a soap bar worth £4 instead of cotton buds worth £1.50 for just £12.99, so worth checking carefully on whats best value if you're thinking of a taster box.

For my £5.50 for £16.63 worth of items I got:
1x bamboo toilet roll
1x bamboo kitchen roll
1x bamboo cotton buds (200)
1x bamboo toothbrush and holder

Firstly, the big positives. Delivery was quick and the products well packaged, the box was a sensible size for the contents and all packing material recyclable.

The cotton buds - excellent, 5* all round brilliant, quality is indistinguishable from the big plastic brands, although bamboo buds are still about twice the price as plastic ones they are worth paying the extra for.

Toothbrush and holder - Toothbrush is a very tight fit into the holder but its nice and seems to clean teeth as well as any disposable brush. Again, about twice the price of plastic but worth the money overall.

Kitchen roll - but at almost £2 a roll it is very expensive for no noticeable improvement in performance over the kitchen roll I get for £3 for a pack of 12. Good product but poor value for money.

Toilet roll - marginally less comfortable than the other bamboo brand I buy. Most people will notice this as more comfortable than the best luxury paper based roll, so full marks again. Value for money also ranks low, but if you can afford it, its worth it for the little extra softness.

There is one thing that bugs about the 2 rolls though, they are white, the website claims that the products use "No inks, dyes or weird stuff", so how do they get them so white? The only answer I can think of is some kind of chemical or industrial 'bleaching process'? which dents the environmental credentials enough in my humble opinion to drop a star.

The second star drops because of gross inefficiencies; you can only buy these products in excessive quantities, if you want a toothbrush or 100 cotton buds you can either buy a taster box or a bundle of 4. Ironically the one product in my taster box that you can buy on its own (at £4.95) is the least useful product they have: toothbrush stand. All the taster boxes contain this, guaranteeing waste as most people I've met already have somewhere to keep a toothbrush. Kitchen rolls minimum pack of 12 and toilet rolls minimum pack of 24.

Overall, this may only be 3/5 but I would encourage people to buy these products, I am certainly willing to buy more in the future and look forward to seeing a greater range of products in the store and hopefully a more sensible approach to pack quantities.
