This company is the Worst! I had to borrow from them- Then unfortunately I got laid off and asked if I could defer payments! They have been calling/text messages/emails daily! I sent proof of my layoff/ei application- Every message is saying I've ignored them- I haven't- I've explained my situation and they just don't like the answer! Even screaming at me on call saying I need to get the payment from anyone and find a way! Rudest/most unprofessional way to deal with anyone! I know sometimes we need help financially easily- but stay away from The lenders! More hassle when something unexpected happens and unwilling to work with any options !

The absolute worse company ever dealt with. Not licensed to practice in BC. I have a new bank account they keep withdrawing from my old account and obviously no money goes there and they rack fees up for me. I said please let me e-transfer you the balance and they won’t let me. Keep trying to get my new bank account details through an unsecured email after I’ve been called every name in the book by them. I’ve paid over $1,000 and somehow still owe $1,600 on a $1,000 loan. Avoid at all costs starving and having late fees on payments are a million times better than dealing with these people.

Fraud and Scam! This company stole money from me, they take your banking information and take out money, please report accordingly to the proper authorities and stay away.

If I could do negative stars, I would. went through a really horrible time. I paid this company the initial amount loaned in the right time frame.
They have insulted me personally, called my phone over 20x a day, and harassed my family horribly. They are not licensed in BC. In BC, they are an illegal company. There is one other that is like them, Cashwave, so beware. They treat people like absolute crap and try to intimidate, even though they have no license to practice in BC.

The Lenders contact you more then 3 tines a week, which is against the law. A young man continúes to call my phone and yells at me. He also sends me emails in all captial letters. If ive seen the reviews before taking a loan, i would never! Stay away from The Lenders!!! REVIEW EVERYTHING BELOW AND LOOK ELSEWHERE

Absolute garbage of a company. I’ve missed my final two payments due to job loss and I’ve informed them multiple times that I will be receiving a lump sum soon and I will pay them back including penalties. They have sent me so many threats via email and text. All this AFTER they messaged me saying they are ok with me sending my full payment when I receive my money. Complete garbage company. I wish I read the reviews before dealing with these scum.

It’s clear they have “threat” emails on hand as I got an email and it said “NAME” and ended with “COMPANY NAME”

They also don’t identify who they are through threatening texts. Save yourself the grief

I have been waiting 4 days to find out if I got the loan or not . It’s ok if I didn’t get it but this is crazy. The website says fast.

So, I was dumb and got alone through these people. It's giving scam to me, the way they talk to me and text me and bullying me is just unbelievable. It's so unprofessional, I've made payments sure I've been late on one or two payments and they harass me and charge me $60 every time I don't make a payment and I'm paying weekly. I've paid my $500 loan back but now they're saying I have to pay over $500 in late fees and they're harassing me Non-Stop. I want to report them to the BBB but I don't know how to. The way they talk to me is just so unprofessional I can't get over it. I don't know what to do about this I am just so upset because I can't afford to be paying this money especially once I've already paid my loan back in double. I borrowed $500 and so far I've paid over a thousand to them and they say I still owe $500, make it make sense.

The worst customer service ever. They have reps call customer and call them names like, loser, idiots, stupid, etc and when you give them a reason for some thing like the lack of communications ie trying to get divorced their reps will say well no wonder your getting divorced I would divorce you too and why would stay with someone for 17 years. Like really, you want to yell and scream and call your customer's names is no way to get money out of them. If anything this will make them not want to pay the money regardless of the situation that is going on or what kind of person your customer is.

Company does not follow any Canadian laws with their collections practices. Thelenders.ca will refuse working with licensed insolvency trustees and also use illegal tactics and keep harassing the already stressed debtor.
They also don't disclosed license and registration numbers for practicing within Canadian provinces.

Do not borrow and money from this lender. I cancelled my request and this was confirmed - yet they still deducted funds from my account for monies never received!

Everything looks legit.. but after you sign the contract.. they ghost you. No one replies to emails or phone calls..No money is sent you. You sign up for a loan, you get approved and then you don't get the loan. I really hope that karma pays them a visit.. because everything on their website is a complete lie. Their parents should read all these reviews to know the kind of business they are running.
Close your eyes when you see The Lenders and apply with a legitimate company.

I made a payment as requested, that same night it was true remainder of my loan without authorization or informing me they were going to do this. I tried emailing and can’t seem to get a response. These guys just go into your bank account and withdraw money whenever they want. It’s ridiculous.

it’s a scam company. when they get your info you’ll get random texts at 1:30am

Company will threatening you and harass you using illegal tactics. They are an illegal lender and don't follow the laws. Never use this company find legitimate lenders instead!!!

This company was recently hacked, sent out a mass email to other customers a week or so ago. Never addressed it or apologized for that. And now they have the audacity to be snarky in their emails.

The absolute worst customer service. They input incorrect information for payments and claimed I didn't do x y z and did it to deceive them. Sorted the payment and next time they pulled the same move. Then after I paid off the loan, and asked for account ledgers, they had sent me a few different ones that were all different and the numbers never added up on any. And they were going to charge me for their data entry mistakes. They send harassing, threatening emails and texts from different people at their "company" and then they say that I'm the issue. The absolute WORST service I've ever had.
