I’ve used this company a few times now and always had a great experience.
I love the range of products they have that can be hard to source in the uk and everything has been dispatched quickly and has been well packed.
I had a couple of questions after I’d placed an order and found them very easy to get hold of on the phone and they replied to my emails quickly too and have been very friendly and helpful.
I will definitely continue using them for my stationery needs going forwards!

I ordered a fountain pen, some ink and a notebook and everything came in 4 days which is a bit longer than some other places however it is all beautiful and of great quality.

This is a great small independent business that knows it's stuff. They stock a great range of stationery items, including Japanese and Korean ranges.
I have bought quite a few things now. Delivery times are reasonable and packaging is designed to protect your precious goodies.
Their website is easy to navigate with high quality images, so you know what you're getting, and you can save your favourites if you open an account.
If things go wrong, which is very rare, their customer service department are efficient, friendly and professional.

I saw a video on Instagram showing my favorite artist using a product from The Journal Shop, some really cool foldable scissors. I live in the USA and they are based in the UK. I put the scissors in my shopping cart, noticed the shipping would have been $50 on a $10 product. I dropped my phone and accidentally purchased when I did not want to. I reached out immediately and explained what happened, they were soooo cool about it and gave me a full refund and canceled the order. They could have just said "not our problem" but instead they treated me like a human that made a mistake. I love them. I will definitely shop with them again when I can place a larger order and make the shipping worth it.

Make sure you read the return policy - paying for your own return shipping isn’t ideal. There’s other places to get the same stuff that has better policies.

I ordered a Retro fountain pen and ink, having read that it would write smoothly and had a conversion kit for using with ink instead of cartridges, as I want to reduce plastic use. I was disappointed to find that it was not smooth at all, but scratchy and the ink didn't flow well. I contacted The Journal Shop and expressed my disappointment. I received a response that was clearly from a real human, who made some suggestions about how to improve the pen's function. When these didn't work, she quickly offered to replace the pen as it seemed to be faulty, but I didn't have to return it first. The replacement was ordered within minutes and arrived quickly. I'm pleased to say it worked well! I am impressed with this excellent customer service and will definitely go back to The Journal Shop for more lovely things!

The help I received from Carla was respectful attentive and she helped me solve some issues as well as with the tracking since I was having trouble checking on the mail app.
