Used (case of 12) to discribe the quantity then at the end of the description wrote pack of 3, when I recived my order I then realised I'd been mistaken in the quantity I thought I'd recived so tried to return them n was told they do except returns, so be warned will take your money and refuse a refund

I ordered 10 of the same Meal Booster powder item. I have ordered this exact item from Amazon before and only received items with best before dates a year in the future. But The Health Box sent me all 10 with a best before date of 01/26, next month, and they arrived 11 days before the start of 01/26. There is, needless to say, no way that I could use what they supplied me in anything like this timescale.

When I received them, I was shocked at the short dates, figuring that the despatcher had simply overlooked the dates, and so I contacted an apparently very sympathetic customer service rep, Brooke. She told me to put it in writing in an email, which I did, sending photographic proof of the dates. Then Lola wrote to say she was “very sorry” and promised they would “rectify” the situation.

Then this morning I got this further response from Lola and I am quoting the relevant sections:

“I can confirm that all items in your order were dispatched well within date and met our quality and safety standards. Even if the product were opened today, when stored in the refrigerator and used in line with the label instructions (within 30 days of opening), it would still be used up well before the best before date.

“As the products you received were in date, correctly labelled, and suitable for use when stored and consumed as directed, I’m afraid there hasn’t been an issue with the items supplied.”

Not even a partial refund! They apologise and then effectively withdraw their apology.

I doubt that Lola or the managers would be happy to spend £67 and only get 10 short-dated Meal Booster products with live cultures. 1 packet alone would easily take over a month to go through.

I was also disappointed that it took 5 days from order to despatch.

Oh well, we live and learn—if you don’t want short-dated products, don’t order from The Health Box. And, if I may offer my friendly advice, whatever you do, don’t spend money on their membership.

They wished me a happy Christmas and good health. It certainly will be a very healthy Yuletide: Meal Booster on my turkey, Meal Booster on my carrots and potatoes, Meal Booster in my stuffing, Meal Booster in my punch, Meal Booster in my crackers, Meal Booster in my Christmas Pudding, Meal Booster on my Beef Wellington, Meal Booster on my mince pies. And, healthiest of all, Meal Booster on my Brussels Sprouts. 

I shop at The Health Box at least twice a week. Lola stocks a large range of vitamins and supplements as well as healthy ingredients, snacks, and green hygiene and cleaning products. I particularly like the organic wines and spirits plus the plastic free packaging of a huge array of nuts, seeds, grains, and dried fruits. She also has amazing gifts, candles, incense, crystals, cool clothes, hats, jewellery and more!

The many practitioners and treatment rooms upstairs really makes this shop ideal for all my health and wellness needs.

Lola is a highly qualified nutritionist and really knows the human body’s needs. She is rife with information and gives quality service to her many customers.

I recommend The Health Box to all my friends and family.

I shop here predominantly for gifts and can always get a great selection to make up ‘health hampers’ for friends and family. For me, it’s a handy alternative (and I feel offers more than) to travelling to a similar shop in Witney.

Lola is fantastic, always there to help and everything she has suggested in terms of vitamins/nutrition/herbal remedies has sorted me right out, every time! Beautiful home products, food and clothes too! My favourite shop! 🖤

Great products and lovely staff. Lola really knows her stuff and they have a fantastic range of organic products. Highly recommend.

Best health (and general organic) food store and shop around the Cotswolds. Local, dedicated, with a certified nutritionist to consult on supplements. Always love discovering the new snacks they stock and such a cool vibe!

An absolute gem of a shop in our little town of Lechlade. Lola is the font of knowledge. Also the best porridge oats ever ☺There are also treatment rooms upstairs but I have not tried yet. We get our washing liquid refilled here, cheaper than the supermarket. Great to have a mooch around

Love everything about this shop - but my favourite is the refills selection. It’s all organic, I keep old glass jars to take in to fill up. So much better than buying in plastic from the supermarket

My favourite shop to visit, amazing supplements, all such good quality and great brands. Lola is so knowledgeable and will always spend time helping and advising you. Lots of delicious food and refills on toiletries etc. great happy place to be with wonderful staff and always so welcoming. Very grateful to have the Health Box near by.

Super cool shop with a huge range of products. The owner is extremely knowledgeable in all the products and is so helpful. I use this shop as often as I can as I love their ethical values and awesome products.

Lola is super knowledgeable and friendly.
The health box is amazingly well stocked and has been a staple for our family rather than going to the chemist.
Everything is of great quality and well priced. The Health Box team have gorgeous and quirky taste and I have bought lots of items as gifts and for myself and it’s a really gem in Lechlade.

I have also had treatments in the past which have been brilliant. All their therapists are great at what they do and the rooms are immaculately clean.
