Shockingly bad customer service – Avoid this store
I had an incredibly frustrating experience accompanying my friend here today. We took two different children's costumes to the till—one was marked €35, but the other had no price tag. In fact, I had already pointed out the missing prices on the shop floor before we even got to the counter. At checkout, we were shocked to find out the unpriced costume was a whopping €70. When we mentioned that a lot of their stock is missing prices, staff dismissively told us they "didn't have the time" to price things. Under Irish law (CCPC), shops are legally required to display prices clearly so consumers aren't blindsided at checkout.
Because €70 was far too expensive, my friend just paid for the single €35 item and we stepped away from the till to look for a different solution on the shop floor. We found two identical, matching costumes for €20 each and went straight back to the counter. My friend asked to return the first €35 costume and exchange it towards buying these two matching ones instead (spending €40 total).
The manager completely refused to allow the exchange, hiding behind a strict "no returns" policy. After a heated discussion where the manager refused to budge or show an ounce of flexibility, we left. Now, we understand that they mentioned this policy verbally at the till upon purchase, and I know that legally it is within their rights to stick to it. However, given that we had never left the building, the item never left their sight, their own illegal lack of pricing caused the confusion, and my friend was actively trying to spend more money in their shop, it is just shockingly bad form. Terrible customer care and incredibly short sighted management. Avoid this shop.

I ordered a nun costume for 25 euro, when it arrived, the material was extremely thin and the mesh cross on the front was crooked.

When I tried to find out how to return it, the website provided very little information. I emailed customer service for clarification, but was simply sent a link to the same returns page that hadn't answered my questions.

As a result, I went to return my parcel through anpost unsure of the correct procedure and was left feeling embarrassed when I didn't have the address written on the front of the parcel.

I understand having to pay for return postage, but i expected clearer instructions and more helpful customer service, especially after reaching out for assistance. Overall, a disappointing experience, and i wouldn't be rushing to order from Halloween HQ again.

I ordered on the 21st and my order came the next day. My Halloween costume was as expected so I’m happy about that but, Unfortunately I also ordered fake blood with it but received black lipstick instead. Which I can’t use with my outfit, very disappointed and I feel like I wasted money to not receive something I needed

Bought a pirate costume for Halloween.It was a complete piece of crap so badly made ,quality horrendous. Dont waste your money on this website.

Bought a costume on the 22nd of Oct for my Daughter but only later found out her dad already bought the costume so on the 23rd I brought it back still in package , I was told their refund machine was broke ! I went back the following day to ge told the same story and to come back Sunday, went back Sunday and they told me it's too late to refund, considering this is day 4 and the policy says return within 7 days for a refund... no manager around so I asked them to ring one while I waited , 30 minutes later she returned to tell me the manager said I will not be getting a refund to email a complaint if I like 😆 apparently I'm not the only person who had to experience this . I'd never buy anything out of this place again. Please avoid !!!!! I will be taking this further . Absolute disgrace. I would give it 0 stars but it wouldn't let me .

I never got the costume

I am very disappointed. Very little decoration for indoor and outdoor, nothing at all. Only costumes from 30 to 60 euros. All Chinese products that you can get 800% cheaper on themu. I will never buy there again. Every Euro safer shop has more choice

I spent 20 minutes plus in this shop and not one staff member asked me if we needed help or even offered every single one of them stood up talking to each other about college and nights out …. I understand their young but one girl in particular was so loud my child had to leave … train your staff or hire staff who actually care enough to offer help I would have bought something but I had to leave

Irish version very disappointing the costume arrived quickly but is massively bigger than it was advertised and I can only return online and pay for postage even though there is a shop beside me. Also although it says No reviews yet it is not possible to write a review and let others know to but smaller

I had to stitch up the legs of the suit I got as it was not done properly, disappointed with this for the money you spend.

Very please with the costume I bought for my daughter and size was perfect.

Great fast service, I searched a few sites and found this to be the best value

Prompt delivery of outfit and kept up to date of delivery through tracking provided. I did mail company as it was charging delivery when it said it was free - error was rectified promptly on website however noone responded to me to let me know I just happened to recheck. Costume is fab, just like the picture!

I ordered for next day delivery yet it didn't arrive until a week later. They required 5 emails back and forth to locate my order which was poor because I even highlighted all the basic details yet they required a special type of form etc....

Bad experience and didn't fulfil the they offered.
