The Greek Villas Anmeldelser 

I am totally surprised with the business side of this company. I am a Travel Advisor and I had a group of 5 that stayed in a Villa in Mykonos, Greece and they absolutely loved it. I was informed that I would receive my commission from this company and I dealt with Nikos Anastasopoulos and also the Sales team and they NEVER sent my payment. After Several email's sent to them and I have even called Nikos directly at Tel.: +30 210 65 64 545

and he spoke with me on the phone and when I announced my name he disconnected the call. I called back and he declined my call. I have other clients seeking to visit Greece and wanted to send them the business because of the feedback I received from the group I sent, but after this experience I would NEVER do business with this company EVER again. BEWARE ALL Travel Advisors they do NOT pay the commission they promise.

Pros
- Modern Apartment with nice facilities
- I did like that a selection of condiments including two bottles of wine and food were provided
- Garden was nice
- Pool was good but not sure if it was meant to be heated but the weather was nice enough so was not required
- Outside area was nice, but see the point below about wasps/insects.
Cons
- The fact that I was not told that there was a building site directly on the opposite side of the house was extremely annoying and ruined any peace and tranquillity of the stay. The workmen worked from 9.00-18.00 seven days a week so as you can imagine there was no real downtime to relax, which was the main reason I had booked the stay!
- While the Garden was nice there were lots of wasps that were constantly flying around the terrace and the pool. This meant it was impossible to sit outside to have something to eat for breakfast or lunch. In the evening it was fine but then I usually went out! It would be worth investing in some ultrasonic device that can ensure that wasps/insects don't bother you! Also, the guest manager cleaned the pool every two days and that intensified the number of wasps flying around the outside area given that the pool was so close to the deck and covered in small puddles!
- While the daily clean may be fine for the upstairs apartment and the upstairs villa it is incredibly annoying when you are in the ground floor villa I was in. The maids come down the side passage away next to the ground floor villa every day at 9am and talk very loudly. They have a utility room beside the villa I stayed in and when they are not cleaning they are talking loudly and at the same time getting loud notifications on their phone/mobile devices. This alongside the noise from the building site pretty much ruined the vacation for me as there was always a constant noise level
- For the first 36 hours the wifi went down at least 7-8 times and infuriating so in the middle of important works calls that I had to be on at the start of my holiday. While this was eventually fixed it should not happen at this price point.
- The TV was also not working when I arrived and it took two days for the repair person to come along and fix it
- There is an issue with the hot/cold settings in the showers as they are incredibly sensitive to very small movements on the dial. This makes showering an annoying experience that I could have done without all the other issues listed above
- The concierge service app was not great as it hardly listed any of the restaurants in the area (albeit the house manager Eva did provide me with a separate list on WhatsApp) nor did it help finding the place on the provided map. Despite asking I was not given an address or proper directions but just told to use the App but as phone reception was poor at best it was poor luck that I managed to find the place (there are no sign post which in my view is a must given you drive down a very narrow road with a couple of villas and then need to take a sharp left to get into the lane way the villas are on)

- One of the house managers (I believe it was Chloe) who contacted me on WhatsApp during my stay asked me already on Wednesday if she could help with the check out! Given that there were five days left I thought this was being rather pushy! She did mention later that she had made a mistake on dates but again at this price point this should not happen. The same issue occurred with my passport number prior to check in and was asked again by Eva before checking out to provide it. This should have already been noted on my profile!
- Finally, on the day I checked out the guest manager realised he had forgotten to bring a piece of paper that I needed to sign. He had to go back home to get it which took close to an hour. I thought it would be 10-15mnts and while it did not impact me from a timing position, given my flight was in the afternoon, it could have impacted other people catching a morning flight.

In summary, it was far from the stay that I had imagined it would be and was not at all relaxing given the level of noise from the building site and cleaning staff. Had I been at a higher level I may have had less noise and insect issues but again for the money that I paid I could have had a much nicer and cheaper holiday in one of the many other villas in kefalonia.

We stayed for a week in Villa Rodia - it was one of our best experiences we ever had in Greece. The villa was in an excellent condition, exactly as described on the website. We had a stunning view directly from the bed to the sea. Dina, the owner, Natasha and Eli cared very well for everything, and were always available, if needed. Especially Natasha fulfilled all our extra wishes. The breakfast was exceptional and one could choose from an extensive range of food. We have been in Greece many times, but Art Blue Villas definitely was the number one accommodation. Many thanks again to the whole team and hope to see you again, soon, Tina & Juergen

Very smooth booking process and supportive and responsive concierge team.
The villa was superb with wonderful views. The Owner's son was so supportive and went above and beyond to make our stay special and we felt looked after. Highly recommended. We all feel in love with Corfu.

All the experience was great, they where very helpfull from the begining, the house was exacly as they promote it, they also help us with restaurants and beach clubs reservations. I recommend them 100%, no regrets!

John and Stephanie quite literally made our dreams come true. We had no idea how seamless a vacation experience could be! Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Our Greek Villa experience was remarkable for many things but the main factor in making it one of the best vacations ever was our "guardian angel," Stephanie. We were traveling with 18 family members and somehow Stephanie, as our travel consultant assigned by The Greek Villas, managed to help us plan an amazing (really extraordinary) stay but then she worked with us every day of the vacation to make sure things were taken care of and that we could do events and explore the area. Her preparation in advance was amazing and she was totally game to help us find just the right experience.
The villa in Porto Heli was gorgeous (of course) but Stephanie's planing and skill made the whole thing once-in-a-lifetime.

Rather pointless ‘service’. Their slick sales guy John will sell you in at a very high rate and they are high touch, but they add little to no value.

For instance:
We asked for baby gates to be added to the property. Their concierge didn’t measure properly, so when we arrived the gates they brought didn’t fit. After 2 weeks at the property they emailed me saying they had found the right one’s. In the meantime I went to the local store and remedied the gates the day we arrived.

Also they are there to pick your pocket with extremely high rates for anything ancillary I.e. their helicopter rate which we found at 30% less locally.

Lastly we had a dog on the property and the owner was very nice about allowing it. When my sister came with her dog (service animal) they relayed that a €2000 fee would be charged. The point here is that they don’t care about their guests, and if they did they wouldn’t relay but rather advocate. I eventually got it settled with the owner at no cost, so again..:they are a pointless service.

Highly recommended, I would definitely use the Greek Villas again on my next visit to Greece. Excellent service, met personally at the villa. All properties are personally inspected and known by the staff so you can be sure you'll be getting a great house. Helpful information book provided and concierge assistance by phone or email when needed: help in renting a car, making restaurant reservations etc. The villa we rented had a stunning location and outdoor spaces. The interior was slightly dated, but we knew that and prioritised the exterior in making our choice.
