I studied Advanced Diploma in Structural Engineering. This is an excellent course better than my bachelor degree in civil engineering. The lecturers are great. I did a project similar to my work.

The College of Contract Management is generally worth !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it is compared to Coursera or edX courses from top universities, since those platforms offer higher-quality content at a lower cost and with stronger global recognition.

I enrolled on the Advanced Diploma in Structural Engineering with the College of Contract Management and successfully completed Year 1 and most of Year 2 modules.
I would like to acknowledge that the previous administration and staff were very friendly, helpful and supportive. When I requested an extension during the COVID period, it was granted without any issues and communication at that time was clear.
Based on this extension, I continued my studies and completed the remaining modules, genuinely believing that I had fulfilled the course requirements. However, when I later requested my certificate, I was informed that one module was still outstanding. When I asked for additional time to complete it, I was told that I would need to re-enroll and pay the full Year 2 fee again.
The main concern is that at the time the extension was granted, I was not informed that re-enrolment would be required or that there were limitations affecting recognition of the work completed. Had this been clearly communicated, I would not have invested so much time and effort into completing further assignments.
It now appears that the current management has adopted a much more rigid approach and does not recognise or take into account decisions made previously.
While the course content itself was useful, this experience raises concerns about transparency, consistency, and communication of policies. I would strongly advise prospective students to obtain clear written confirmation of all terms regarding extensions and course completion before proceeding.

I’ve just completed the CIOB Professional Review course in College of Contract Management, and the support throughout was outstanding. Every step was guided, and any questions I had were answered immediately. I strongly recommend this program to all professionals aiming to achieve CIOB membership.

I just finished my Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice in Contract Management. The course is easy to follow. Everyone is very helpful. The course materials are also relevant.

I recently completed the Claims Preparation and Dispute Management course from the College of Contract Management UK, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The course title and brochure gave the impression that we would learn actual claim preparation through practical exercises, real case studies, and hands-on work. Instead, the sessions were mostly theoretical, with the tutor reading through long slides and no practical exercises at all.

The brochure at the time of registration was very different from the real delivery. As a diploma-level course, I expected practical learning outcomes — but the content felt more like a general introduction. The first half of the course seemed completely overlooked and added no real value.

In reality, the course was mainly geared towards helping participants obtain the CIArb Associate membership. If that was my goal, there were much better and more recognised options available at the same cost, many of which offer actual mentoring and member-level outcomes. Here, the only usable outcome is eligibility to apply for CIArb Associate, nothing more.

Overall, this was a waste of time and money for me. No practical skills gained, no real claim-preparation ability, and the diploma did not meet the expectations set by the brochure.

A unique experience!
I've recently completed the Professional Diploma in NEC Contracts, and it was honestly great experience. The course is well-structured and very practical, detailed breakdown of NEC principles and clauses, and using real-world assignments was the was the killer punch for me , it made all the difference . I highly recommend it.

I recently finished the Advance Diploma in Professional Practice in Contracts Management. CCM provides a great platform for learning and enhancing knowledge in construction contracts, with the added benefit of flexible course completion.

There is some room for improvement, such as making sessions slightly more tailored to the what will get asked in assignments and making the catch up footage available without the big gaps for breaks as sometimes when trying to forward its glitchy.

Overall, it’s a highly recommended program - will certainly look at others with CCM in the future.

Forensic Schedule Analysis has structured into four modules with Live instructors. The Course is designed both flexible in timing and conducive to learning. Instructors ensure an engaging experience by encouraging questions and using an interactive approach.

I recently completed the Professional Practise in Contracts Management Module. I appreciate CCM for providing the platform for learning & upgrading in construction contracts along with flexibility in completing the course.

Indeed it was a great value addition after years of professional working in the industry. I would take a moment to thank CCM for having onboard very supporting team and it was always pleasure interacting with all, Rebecca, Megan, Alina.
Some improvements are indeed recommended such as to create the classes more lively with help of case studies, practical scenarios, repeated lectures, assignments review system etc.

Overall it’s good & highly recommended to construction guys.

I recently completed the Advanced Diploma in Professional practice in Contract Management at the College of Contract Management.

Pros:
- very well advertised, excellent admin team, very professional and do a great job in bringing students in.
- What I appreciated most was the flexibility of online learning — it allowed me to fit study around work commitments while still feeling supported throughout. The syllabus was broken down into 8 modules, each module having 4 to 5 lectures (at 2 hours each) followed by an assignment for each module. They run lectures for each separate module at weekends but if for any reason you cannot join or attend these, they are uploaded to the colleges portal and you can watch pre-recorded lectures of the same topic to ensure that you're not missing out.
- I liked the feedback of each assignment after completion to tell you:
1. Why do you gain/lose marks
2. What was required to gain full marks for the question

- The administrative team that they provide in order to answer any queries that you may have are excellent, they respond promptly and are always helpful. You can even request a one on one session if you require the need to.

Cons
- Some of the lessons were extremely obsolete.
- Few chapters are repeated in different modules, which deviates the focus of the Module and waste of time.
- Many of the lectures are done from people reading slides only and the little explanations they give out are very basic. They lack basic ability to answer student questions. Some professors simply read off presentation slides, word for word. Suggests either poor presentation skills or they have not come prepared.
- Some of the modules do not cover all aspects of the competency. If you do not have sufficient professional experience, you're kind of screwed.
- Additional fee (more than double of standard courier charges) for delivering original certificate

I just completed the Professional Diploma in NEC Contracts. The program, which consists of parts 1 and 2, was well-structured and effectively designed for both study and comprehension. As a Quantity Surveyor, I found it easy to relate the course content to real-world scenarios. Each clause of the NEC contracts was thoroughly explained, which added to the depth of my understanding.

The lectures were particularly engaging, bringing the practical aspects of construction work into the classroom. This course has provided me with a deeper insight into NEC contracts, and I now feel confident in reviewing them and offering appropriate advice. Thank you, CCM.

Recently I have finished the Level 4 (HNC) in Quantity Surveying. My background professionally is as a setting out engineer and my employer provided me with an opportunity to further my skills and potentially progress in my career and identified the CCM for me and the syllabus that they provide. The course was set out excellently and is set out in a way that works perfectly for somebody who is also working full time. The syllabus was broken down into 6 modules, each module having 12 lectures (at 2 hours each) followed then by an assignment for each module. They run lectures for each separate module at weekends but if for any reason you cannot join or attend these, they are uploaded to the colleges portal and you can watch pre-recorded lectures of the same topic to ensure that you're not missing out. This is fantastic as you can ensure that you're not missing out if you cannot attend, but you can also refer back to these lectures if you require a further understanding of something specific or you just need to re-review something that you may not quite have understood the first time around.

The support team that they provide in order to answer any queries that you may have are excellent, they respond promptly and are always helpful. You can even request a one on one session if you require the need to.

After completing the level 4, I am now continuing on to the level 5 after enjoying the first modules so much. I have definitely developed a better understanding of things that I need to within the field and I am looking forward to continuing onwards with the next level of the Quantity Surveying course that the CCM provide.

If you're looking at furthering your career or even developing a better understanding within your field, I would highly recommend doing a course through the CCM!

I recently completed the Professional practice in Contract Management at the College of Contract Management, and I can't recommend it enough. Coming from Nigeria and stepping into a Senior QS role in the UK, I initially faced challenges. This course is one of the few available online in the UK that offers both Level 4 (HNC) and Level 5 (HND) qualifications in Structural Engineering. It is internationally recognized and the certificate awarded can be translated into ECTS points (European Credi Transfer and Accumulation System). The course provider CCM is I believe is approved by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), which is a plus if you are working towards your CPD goals or future professional recognition.
I really liked the flexibility of the course; it is ideal for those who prefer studying from home or need to balance education with work. Lectures are delivered live via Zoom meetings on weekends, and last 2 hours. All live lectures are recorded and uploaded to the course web portal, allowing you to re-watch them at any time. This is extremely helpful if you miss a session, are unable to attend, or simply want to review material you didn’t fully understand. It’s also ideal for taking detailed notes at your own pace. While attending live lectures isn’t mandatory, I highly recommend it—as it gives you the opportunity to interact with professors directly and ask questions in real time.
The support team, including course administrators and lecturers, were always quick to respond and genuinely helpful. If you ever need more help, you can request a one-on-one session online, which they’re happy to set up.
With a background as a civil engineering technician, I found many of the modules particularly valuable—especially for those new to the field. The topics are well-structured and clearly explained, making the learning experience both accessible and enriching.
Overall, I recommend this course to anyone who wants to build on their knowledge in structural/civil engineering without having to attend classes in person. It’s a solid choice for both career progression and convenience.

I just recently completed the Advanced diploma in professional practice in contract management, For The live classes the professor used a lot of real world scenarios to gain their point across more effectively ...and one thing i liked was the feedback of each assignment after completion to tell you:
1. Why you lost marks
2. what was required to gain full marks for the question
One thing i would advice though, is after the completion of each class provide a rubric possibly through pass papers to allow students to understand marking especially for new comers

For the QSS training Year 1, I'm greatful to the lecturers for the good quality of the pedagogy and the interactions between lecturers and students. Most of us are practitioners in the construction sector from different horizons and countries. It was great to share the experiences, lessons learnt and different norms and know-how worldwide.

I would say that many traditional academic courses are just a waste of time.

The CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership at the CCM UK is extremely cost-effective, and the lecturers are highly knowledgeable. The course was straightforward to follow and could be completed quickly.

I would definitely recommend this course instead of pursuing an MBA, where we would spend much more time and money.

This diploma covers the same content for just around two thousand pounds.
