When someone dies, three clocks start, and almost no family knows them in advance. The American Estate Kit is built around them: the 48-6-9 System. • First 48 hours: SECURE. The first moves, in order: funeral home, certified copies of the death certificate, the original will, the executor, the house and the mail. • First 6 months: NOTIFY. There is no single place to report a death in the U.S. The kit lists every bank, insurer, retirement account, utility and subscription to contact, one by one, with ready-to-send letters, and flags the Social Security timelines where benefit months can be permanently lost. • First 9 months: SETTLE. The decisions that can't be undone, plus probate, valuation and the final tax return, with the documents you'll be asked for.-- The three windows hold in all 50 states. What varies by state is on your State Quick Sheet. Printable, step by step, and delivered by email within minutes. Not legal advice, and not a substitute for an attorney. https://theamericanestatekit.com

Thank you, Larry! We're glad you found the kit detailed and well organised. Taking it one step at a time is a great approach, and there's no need to rush. We hope it continues to be helpful as you work through each section!
It showed me how unprepared I am
It showed me how unprepared I am. There is so much information needed to help your survivors get through the days after your passing, it would be a sin to let them try to do it all on their own. This kit will pay for itself just with the peace of mind you will give your heirs when they use what you have prepared for them.

A very good kit.
It's a very good basic kit. What I have done is "fill in the blanks" and sent it to my attorney to make certain everythingis as it should be.
The kit is a very good starting point.

Seems to be a high-quality product
I opted for all the complete kits -- "Peace of Mind" plus all the complementary kits. Lots of material. All the files were easily downloaded to my local computer.
The information and well-organized format seems to be well done. It's now on me and my wife to follow the directions, gather our data, fill in the forms, print the relevant pages, put it all in a binder, and inform our adult children. This product appears to be worth every penny. // Richard R.
It's now a week later. I've gone through much of the material. I'm even more impressed and have no regrets.!
