There isn't enough green stars for this company, especially the lads in Ballincollig, Patrick & Robert . I have become a regular customer with them !!! Daughter keeps dropping phone , we are now on first name basis 😂
But the lads are always so helpful, and fix the phone for me . So 10 star review for them . Thanks

I had an issue with a broken SIM tray on my brand-new iPhone 15 — just one day old. Vodafone advised me to return the phone for a replacement, which meant I would’ve been left without a working phone for several days. I needed it fixed urgently.

Thankfully, Robert Power, the Store Manager, went above and beyond. He quickly sourced a new SIM tray and had my phone working again within seconds. His professionalism, efficiency, and genuinely helpful attitude were outstanding.

Unbelievable customer service — Robert is an absolute gentleman and a credit to the team!

Purchased a car phone mount that went faulty after two weeks. I brought it back to the shop a few weeks later and they refused to replace or refund me. They said they had a 7 day return policy.

Not only were the guys very efficient, but they were also extra nice! I had my work computer broken, and I work online from home. They let me use one of their computers for the weekend to be able to work, and they brought my computer back home when I was stuck to collect it before work!

Fantastic service from Franco, Soham and Kara at the Tech Star shop in Ballincollig. They were all so nice, so accommodating, so understanding, so patient, they were just fantastic. Used them to help transfer data from phones that were old and for people with limited technical knowledge. They also helped diagnose a problem with a laptop and again with total professionalism. Would recommend them 100%.

This store is an absolute scam, the pricing they have on some items is crazy, saw a gpu in there that was double msrp for no reason. Also a desktop PC that was at least 400 overpriced for a prebuilt OEM system from ROG

AVOID THIS PLACE. YOUR GOING TO REGRET Shopping here. Slow to repair, over charge. Got screen on iPhone fixed and now rear facing camera not working and apple wallet transmitter not functioning. Go anywhere else.

Did a click and collect order, when I went to collect in Ballincollig I originally got the wrong laptop but when I went back I received the correct one. I also had bought a hard drive enclosure that was was listed to store up to 4tb of storage but when I got it it didn’t have any hard drive installed lucky I had a spare but it was only 250gb. Not major as I can always buy an extra but very annoying nevertheless.

They took a week to complete a diagnostic, and I was then told they’d have the my laptop port replaced within 1-2 weeks as it will take time for the new port to arrive at techstar. I followed up after 2 weeks and was told the port would arrive that weekend, which it obviously did not. They ended up having the laptop for 3 weeks before I took it back to catch up with my college assignments and they said they will call me once they get the port and when I went in to ask why it was taking so long, they said they ordered the wrong part. 3 months later after going and enquiring about my laptop multiple times they still come back with the same response that they are getting the part in the next couple of days and will call me, which they never did. Went to a different business,part was fixed within 2 days. Definitely don't recommend this place to anyone

Cracked screen. Wanted €30 diagnostics!! with screen broken . And then €140 to get screen fixed . I suppose something has to pay from rental in Ballincollig!!! If not so greedy would go back again

I followed up after 2 weeks and was told the battery would arrive that weekend, which it did not. They ended up having the laptop for a month and when I went in to ask why it was taking so long, they said they could no longer source the battery. I just asked for my laptop back as I was under pressure for college assignments, and ended up sourcing the battery myself which arrived within a week.

Worst experience I have had. I am guessing the positive reviews are by their own staff members.
I dialed up to book an appointment and was quoted €35 for diagnosis of the IMac.
And when I got there I am quoted €65.
The only reason I have as told is that the guy who booked me in was a week old and didn't know the rates. So We Are Sorry.

Hi, unfortunately my experience of the Ballincollig branch of this company has been memorable for the wrong reason. They carried out a repair to my iPad and lost the SIM card and the sim card holder. This can happen anyone . They apologised for losing both parts and agreed to replace. 5 months later and after multiple calls to the shop I still have not received these parts or even a call back.
