Awful, scam !! I ordered a hardcopy and they said it was a digital copy. Lack of customer service. Only available through email . Avoid like the plague!!!..

Taletrail is a complete con. Don't fall for their attractive financial offers, like I did. I clicked on 'hardback' copy. They said I chose 'ebook'. Even the ebook hasn't arrived. They have not refunded my money, despite me telling them to. Thieves. I've learnt a lesson at their profit, which galls me.

Omg I wish I’d read reviews of this awful organisation before ordering what I, like so many others it would seem, thought was an actual book but when it didn’t materialise, I was told it was an ebook and to “reach out” if I hadn’t got the link and they would send it me!
So why did they have my full address on the payment invoice under shipping address and below the cost of the book was shipping costs and it said zero - like it was free postage?!
I have emailed on a number of occasions and tried ringing but that just comes up with a message saying all customer service is done via email.
I am now in process of going through my bank for reimbursement and will be going to Trading Standards to report this company as a scam and clearly they are making a huge amount of money as all their reviews are exactly the same situation and outcome as my own.

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered 2 books in error. They responded to me and answered my emails until I asked to cancel my order. Despite not downloading the books and quoting their policy back to them which said I was entitled to a refund, I have been effectively ghosted.

Ordered a hardback off this company and was told I'd ordered an ebook. I contacted them several times to say I'd received nothing. But got nothing. No book or link.

Like other reviewers have commented this is a scamming web site set up to steal your money. Purchased a hard back book but this morphs into an ebook after you have paid. Do not buy anything from this web site as you will be scammed the same as me!

Dishonest scamming business. Government please fine them heavily & shut them down.
Whats the matter with these people, they have no decency or integrity just taking people’s honest hard earned money . So low

DO NOT USE this company as you will be scammed.
Advertise books as hardcovers then send you a digital download instead of the advertised physical hardcover book.
Promised refund when I contacted them but this never materialised.
Refunded via bank fraud team and reported to Trading Standards.

I agree with all the reviews. I have been scammed too. Paid for a hard copy book to be told it’s an ebook I ordered but there is no ebook either ! I could tell from their email it wasn’t an official website and I’m annoyed I fell for it.
No response from them now and I’ve registered it as a scam with my credit card company .

I would give them 0 score they are scammers! Took my money, no book appeared, emailed and they replied saying i’d ordered an ebook - I hadn’t.
Said they would refund- didn’t and now the website has disappeared! Oct 10th 2026

An absolute scam company!
Like so many others, ( wish I had checked reviews before ordering) I ordered a hardback book from this company and was told, after emailing them after a week, with no book arriving, that I had ordered an ebook and they would send me a code to download it. I DID not order an ebook and still waiting for a code after two weeks. Emailed again to tell them I would like a refund and to make a formal complaint. No chance of refund. Still waiting for details of their complaints department. Terrible company and very poor customer service. DO NOT USE.

Like many others I placed an order for a book They took my money but no book received No response to emails Don't answer their phone They must be making a fortune out of this

Absolute dreadful company.
Like others i ordered a hardback book only to be told, no it was an e book.
When I then said ok send me the link, they sent a link to a cook book and this was not the book I ordered.
They do not answer the phone and I have no replies to the 4 e mails i have sent PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not order from this company

Took my money but no book no contact nothing

Terrible customer service.
I ordered a physical book only to be told 10 days later after having contacted them regarding delivery , that I had ordered an ebook. This is not true.
They then stated they had sent the link for the ebook , which they hadn’t . I requested a refund . I also attempted to call them but with no luck . Absolutely terrible service and I shall be reporting to them to trading standards.
I am yet to hear back from them or receive a refund .

I placed an order with this company believing I was buying a book ,it was an Ebook not stated on the site, I never recieved a download for this book, customer services were very unhelpfull, I feel I have been robbed.I have no book and my money has been taken Since asking for download instructions and or a full refund I haven,t heard anything back from customer services. Beware of this company

A SCAM Ordered a hardback book over 2 weeks ago I still have not received the book I have e mailed and tried to phone with no luck I shall be asking my bank to get a refund DO NOT USE

I’ve given one star as it’s not possible to give zero. The site is a scam. It lets you select hardback books but there obviously aren’t any. The company then argues that you selected ebook formats. They also only sent one download although I ordered two books and after several attempts at rectifying this have sent a link to the second book which doesn’t look like a legitimate link. I haven’t clicked on either link.

Also when you add items to your basket it doesn’t stipulate whether they are hardback or ebook. For this reason my credit card company say I have no proof I ordered a hardback and won’t refund my money.

SCAM COMPANY, NO HARDBACK BOOKS…NOT EVEN AN EBOOK. PLEASE REVERSE CREDIT & COMPLAIN THROUGH CREDIT CARD COMPANY. DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO KEEP YOUR MONEY, THESE SCAMS ARE HAPPENING MORE & MORE. FALSE SELLING, RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY ONLINE TRANSACTION WITHIN 14 DAYS, ALSO GOODS NOT AS DESCRIBED, TAKE A SCREENSHOT AS PROOF TO SEND TO YOUR PAYMENT SOURCE.
