I'm in my early 40s and decided to join the Take Charge program because my sedentary life style was causing me to get very tired and could feel the muscle wasting away.
During the very first session, I literally collapsed and I had not even gone through half an hour - my older self would have quit the program, but it made me realize how unhealthy I really was! Sunny, on realizing that I need to build a base first, put me on a slow starter with Dibyarth who spent one week to slowly build up my stamina and it really worked wonders.
Today I'm proud to say that it's been a month and a half and I am able to go through sessions without feeling overwhelmed and the feeling of satisfaction after the session is fantastic and I've realized it has a real positive impact on my mental well being also. It's not just a cliche'.
Until now the sessions have primarily been around mobility and flexibility and little weight training - but what I love about the sessions is the mobility exercises which I feel are really important especially when someone like me has a desk job. We take movement for granted - but a lot of small muscles waste away when not used and those add up to debilitation down the line. I feel "we must do when we can rather than wait until we have to"
Honestly I still find it tough to join sessions in the mornings especially on Mondays, but I picture the satisfaction at the end of the session and that gets me going.
The sessions are held over Zoom , however, the attention to detail that Sunny and Dibyarth show , ensures the exercise is done with the right form so eliminates chances for injury.
Sunny and Dibyarth are very dedicated to the student's cause and that makes it worth the while.
