Had a mobility scooter breakdown last week and had to ring Surewise, I can honestly say that the lady on the phone could not have been more help. She asked if I was okay and if I was off the road and had a recovery truck out quickly also kept me well informed about what was going on. Thank you Surewise

I booked insurance on the basis that I needed it at storage base as their insurance was very expensive. They then gave me a final quote for the small storage we wanted and it had more than doubled so we did not go ahead with it. However I did not need the insurance and cancelled it within two hours. I could not find a cooling off period to get my money back

I’ve been with Surewise Insurance for a couple of years and have always been transparent that my policy covers business stock which consists entirely of collectibles.
I’ve now received an email saying they will still happily charge me for £10,000 of cover, but in the event of a claim they would only pay out 25% because the stock is collectibles.
This makes the policy effectively pointless. If you’re paying for £10,000 of cover, that’s what you reasonably expect to be insured for.
I was advised to look elsewhere for cover – which I have now done and found a competitor willing to insure the stock properly. Very disappointing.

Previously, collections in storage could be covered up to the full policy limit. Unfortunately, following a recent update to our policy terms, collections are now subject to a reduced claim limit. We appreciate that this may affect customers who store larger amounts of collectible stock.
When this change was introduced, we made sure to clearly outline it in our renewal communications so customers could review their cover and decide whether it remained suitable for their needs.
Where a large proportion of stored items consists of collectibles, a specialist policy is often more appropriate to ensure the items are fully insured, which is why our team suggested exploring alternative providers.
We’re sorry that on this occasion our policy was no longer the right fit for your requirements, but we do appreciate the time you were insured with Surewise and wish you all the best with your new provider.
