I love that I can have more than one…
I love that I can have more than one advert - tutor in more than one thing! Most companies only allow one. It is daunting doing your own lessons, admin and finances - I do love the freedom of it all. And it is a professional platform - as tutor, I can also give feedback or report a student. There is back-up when needed. Thank you Superprof!

I have a great experience with Super…
I have a great experience with Super Prof when I desperately need a maths tutor, I contacted them, and it didn't even take an hour I got a respond that the tutor I requested has agreed to give me lessons. I was so happy with their quick responds which helped me to get started urgently with my lessons; also, the tutor I got Shes knows her work, I understand maths much better in a short space of time.

Issuing 35% of the tutors rate payable in the event of postponed lessons.
That customers are only allowed to purchase a 5 or 10 lesson package and not eg. 3 lesson package. I further feel that in the T&C's it should reflect that I addition to 'cancelation' of the lesson within 24hrs of the lesson, they customer aught to also pay 35% fee for 'postponing' the lesson within 24hrs of the lesson. As at the end of the working day be it having the lesson canceled or postponed the tutor doesn't get their full payment of the entire session. I feel this is unfair to the tutor.
I would also like to ask if there could be a manual invoice tab, if the customer pays in cash, the tutor can record this via site so all money transactions are transparent.

At the moment, Superprof South Africa does not manage lesson fee payments from students to tutors, hence we do not record and track these payments on our site. However, this is a functionality which we hope to introduce down the line.
As a private tutor who sets their own rates, you have the option to add a cancellation penalty fee as well as a late postponement fee to your advert. You can also let students know that you would be happy to offer lesson packages that include fewer or more lessons than the standard package options that our site displays.

In other countries overseas, Turkey the teachers dont pay a subscription at all .
In South Africa they do , hence I moved back to a free membership.
Furthermore, I would like to say thank you .Since November last year , I have been quite busy getting students that contacts me .I do appreciate it .

In the meantime, we can confirm that the Superprof South Africa website is free for all tutors. We offer an optional package which tutors can purchase, called the Professional Pass (“Pro Pass”), but no tutor is obliged to use this package in order to advertise on our site.

Tutors responses and regular update of addresses for face to face purposes
I wish the company to remove tutors that are not responding within 24 hours, because you wait more than 24 hours for respond instead of looking for a another tutor. Tutors must update their addresses regularly if they relocate for face to face purposes

Thank you for your feedback. Our tutors are allowed 72 hours to respond to lesson requests, however, we do encourage them to respond as soon as possible. And we follow up with them after 24 hours to remind them to get back to their students. Whilst we do not delete the profiles of tutors who take more than 24 hours to respond, the profiles of tutors who are consistently unavailable are removed.
We are in complete agreement with you that tutors should keep their profiles up to date, and they undertake to do this when signing up to the platform. If ever you encounter a tutor whose profile does not reflect accurate information, we encourage you to report this to our support team at hellozar@superprof.com.
