It's great! But the reason for not 5 stars is some clients are being labeled as "new" clients!

i dislike all the fees. if i pay a monthly fee i don’t understand all the extra fee that are tact on to each service . you never get the amount you charged for a service.

I have a love hate feeling with StyleSeat I really really don’t understand why when I booked a client under smart pricing StyleSeat takes a percentage of the transaction and another for smart pricing. If I select smart pricing for a client it’s because I’m working a day I normally don’t work so I charge the client more. But then I really don’t see a decent percentage because style seat takes some of the percentage I really don’t like that. I will have to go away to charge my clients more and have them check out another way.

I don’t like how they charge people to book-
Also, they assume they brought me a new client and want a big percentage of the service total.
(My “new” clients are referrals.)
I also don’t like how when a client cancels you reach out to everyone to see if they want it-
I have a cancellation list that I manage and would like to fill it myself.
I don’t like how they make special pricing for time of day booked- I manage my price increases as I see fit.
All very frustrating for me as well as my clients.

The fees we pay for new clients after check out is a bit much especially when we pay a monthly fee for advertisement . We should get more recognition for advertisement since we paid such a large fee and one - two clients a month

I have been with styleseat since 2013. They have had their issues but they resolve them promptly. Lately, they have been a little unerving with the fees and how they "market" for us. This to can be resolved with a simple email yet still annoying. It's a love hate relationship as far as I'm concerned. No relationship is perfect but if you stay consistent and loyal great things can happen. I truly appreciate the level of communication that's offered to me. I love the book keeping and client connection intricacies. Overall, I'm still with them so that has to count for something!

Things have become more time consuming to accomplish and more difficult. Adding a service to an appointment or changing the dollar amount of a service or adding multiple services onto an appointment used to be doable Now everytime you are booking a client and choosing a service or rebooking a client and adding or changing their next service, you have to scroll through your entire menu of hair services and select which one you'd like to choose and if rebooking and decide to change up their next appointment you then have to scroll through deselect what they had today, scroll more to select next service.
What happen to the search bar ? You could type what service you wanted and BAM.
Not to mention
"Root touchup, single process color partial balayage, women's haircut" doesn't even show across the phone screen so I can't see past root touch up sin
and I e got a lot of service that start with A single process color . I can't see what I'm choosing. It's absurd really.
I've had my page several times within the last month act as if I was new to StyleSeat. Asking me to set up a profile and to import my clients...which is concerning... I've also noticed several times more recently that some of my prices ave been altered, by large amounts and by the time I notice- because I've set everyone up as autopay-it's too late to do anything.
My menu has been shuffled several times and out of order and I took HOURS setting it up so everything flowed beautifully as you read down the menu. So yeah there's been a lot of problems actually. Styleseat has been wonderful but since they updated or changed things around it's been a poop show.

Stay away from this app, they do not protect you from scammers! A scammer got my credit card information that was saved on the Stileseat and stole $162. Now they are saying there nothing they can do to help. I want my money back, and I will NEVER do business with this company again

Booked on the site and drove to appointment. Stylist did not work there anymore, left months ago and SS was not updated. Site charged me anyway.DO NOT USE unless you know your stylist still works there and exists! I contacted the stylist on Facebook and she said she tried MANY TIMES to take herself off of SS but the system won't let her. Use at your own risk!
