Study Active offers a great course. They structure the lessons really well and make them easy to understand. The tutors are helpful. The assessments criteria are clear. And the practical assessment process really smooth.
It was great to have Colin as my assessor. He went through some stuff with me before the assessment and gave me useful advice.
My only critique to this course provider is only that I would’ve liked it to be a little more in person. Yes, they give you more than enough to do well on your own. But more in-gym practical stuff would’ve been nice.

The team in Study Active are extremely helpful. They always answer my questions via email very quickly and I can always organize a Zoom call with them for any other enquiries. The content seems challenging which, in my opinion, is best to learn since it makes you study harder. So far I’m enjoying my experience with Study Active!

The topics are broken down into manageable sections and units. The team responds well to any questions and/or issues about content, assignments or payments.

Online learning was interesting and easy to follow. Tutors always responded very promptly and helpfully and were available to support with a phonecall if needed. Communication around assessment was timely so I was never kept waiting for a result. Huge thanks for accommodating practical exams over Easter, which really helps those of us working a 9-5 in the week. My practical assessor was Colin and he made the whole thing stress-free and gave helpful advice. Thanks!

I’m so happy I chose Study Active as my educational provider in completing my Level 2 Personal Trainer Certification. The experience was wonderful! I felt so supported the whole way and was given multiple learning tools that I could use in order to complete the tasks required. Shout out to the team at Study Active for being so incredibly understanding and patient with me, and for always being there, just a phone call/email away, ready to help! I completed this certification entirely online from Kuwait. I plan to use this certification by integrating it into my career as a Clinical Psychologist and helping patients achieve their fitness goals. This program is one I’ve already recommended to family and friends and will continue to do so with likeminded people. Thanks again for everything! I can’t wait to do Level 3.

My examiner Colin was very friendly and welcoming to both me and my friend who was my client for the assessment. He gave a lot of helpful advice to me for what I can improve on in the future. Overall it was a good positive experience for some like an exam which is always nerve racking.

The team provided great support, and excellent feedback throughout my time studying for L2 and L3. The resources provided were second to non, and made it easier to complete the modules. When it came to the practical assessments, I did both L2 and L3 with Colin, who was great both times. He provided lots of information beforehand, and gave me good feedback after both assessments.

An excellent experience with Study Active.

All videos and the coursework are great. The videos give clear advice/instruction and are very informative.

The course work provides all the tools needed for you to pass your Gym Instructor 2 and Personal Trainer 3 courses.

Although I did not need to contact the team very often they were always on hand to listen and give guidance where necessary.

In respect of the practical assessments these were made both enjoyable and informative by the senior assessor Chris Walsh. Chris is extremely friendly and puts you at ease the moment you meet. His overall knowledge is exceptional.

If you’re considering becoming a gym instructor or PT I would highly recommend both Study Active and Chris Walsh.

I have just finished my level 2 gym instructor qualification, on to level 3 next, I highly recommend Study active as a qualification, the staff are super helpful and I love the flexibility of the course since I work full time I can fit in studying around my work.
I had such a good day meeting Chris Walsh and completing my practical assessment. His enthusiasm and knowledge of exercise made my assessment feel exciting and I learned a lot from it. Looking forward to my level 3 now :-)

Highly recommend Study Active if you're looking to get into fitness instructing. You are supplied with all info you could need and have tutors on hand to help with any questions you need help with. Also definitely recommend taking the practical assessment in person, I was assessed and welcomed in by Colin and was immediately put at ease as he talked me through what the day would entail and gave me very good feedback when I needed it, it made the process so much more relaxed when I was initially nervous at first. Looking forward to completing my level 3 👍

Just finished my L2 gym instructor course and would definitely recommend StudyActive. Very impressed with the course materials, coursework feedback and quick response to my queries.

Highlight was the practical assessment at the gym with assessor Chris - he was superb! I was so nervous beforehand but he put me at ease immediately and now realise there was no need to worry - thank you so much!

The tutors at Study Active were very supportive and responsive throughout my Level 3 PT qualification period, although I did miss meeting them in person as my qualification route was mostly remote learning. The highlight of my training was in fact my final face to face assessment day where Chris Walsh, senior assessor, put a lot of energy and insight into testing my knowledge and sharing his own in a very professional way.

If you have decided to qualify as a fitness trainer based on your own speed in completing your studies, then I can highly recommend the Study Active company. You will have access to all the necessary training materials in an online format, clear and concise instructions for completion and support from the team. At the very last stage of the practical assessment I would recommend booking a slot with one of the accessors, although a video option is also available. However, based on my own experience I would do just that.
I would particularly like to mention Chris Walsh, he was very friendly but also objective in the assessment, I found his advice to be very helpful and so I think this is the best experience you can have.

After a bit research on Personal Trainer courses, I opted for Study Active. I contacted them before I paid for the course as I wanted a little bit more info and also to see if they were easy to contact. Turns out they were straight forward to get in touch with and answered all my questions.

As for the course, I opted for both Level 2 & 3 certifications. I paid for it, they got in touch and sent all the relevant information over to get started. The instructions are well outlined and the learning materials are very informative. There were occasions when I needed assistance and had to reach out for help. The team were easy to get in touch with, if I couldn’t get in touch when I phoned, I’d leave a message and they would call back within an hour or two. If I emailed them, they always replied on that same day. I found them super friendly and always helpful.

Coursework finished, time for practical exams. Travelling from Scotland was easy, a flight to Luton and a quick taxi to Welwyn. You can record your practical exams and email them over but I wanted to be in person. I ended up with Chris Walsh as my assessor for my both Level 2 & 3, he was spot on. I was a bit nervous first time but found him really encouraging, he put me at ease. Second time around we had a laugh, he was professional but there was no stress whatsoever.

All in all, I’d highly recommend Study Active for anyone looking to get started in the fitness industry!

i cannot give enough praise to study active, i was going back to learning after 30 years so i felt a bit anxious about that, let alone if i could do the course or not. But they give you the confidence and guide you through each step just brilliant. Thank you x

I had an amazing experience studying my level 2 gym instructor and level 3 personal training course. The fact that I was able to do every aspect of the course totally online at my own pace was extremely helpful. If I ever had any questions or queries about any aspect of the course I didnt understand, members from the study active team helped me straight away. I highly recommend doing your training with study active.
