Abysmal customer service
Abysmal customer service. I accidentally ordered the wrong iPad cover. I followed their precise instructions on it, and a month later I am still being told that it’s being referred to customer services and that I’ll get a refund in 3-5 working days. However, I was told exactly the same thing a week ago. Genuinely do not understand how it is this hard to refund - I work in customer service myself and process refunds automatically. I wish I had checked their reviews before ordering!

Poor refund procecess
Purchased an iPad cover although the right size as per description it was too small, returned next day. I am still awaiting my refund from the 13/03/2026. So many email sent which do not get replies. Awful company to deal with.

Website features incorrect, refused free returns
First the wrong size phone case was sent, I had to pay for returns. Once I got to try the correct size case it then appeared that the case didn’t do wireless charging despite it being on the website as a feature. I wrote and told them this and they refused to pay for the return of the item even though it was totally their fault and mis sold

As per our 14-day return policy, we require customers to initiate and complete returns within that timeframe to be eligible for a refund. Unfortunately, as this period has now passed, we are unable to process a return for these items.
Additionally, while we strive to provide accurate product features, our policy remains that we do not cover the cost of return postage. Poor quality and customer service.
Update 3 (27/5): The poor quality and lack response.
It has now been more than month since I asked for a the faulty products to be replaced or refunded. They stopped answering my emails. There are no other way to contact them. I recommend to stay away from this company.

The two IPad cases are after 1 week broken/cracked. The quality of the plastic does not seem to match the premium price. I have sent a complaint. And it has now been 7 days with no response (they advertise 3-5 days).
Update on below (26/4). The two iPad cases are now received after a lot of delay.
I ordered two cases for my iPads. Only received one. Wrote to customer service. They claim to respond within 1-3 days. It has now been 4 days. No response.

I am very sorry for the delay in our response and for any confusion regarding your order. While one of your iPad cases has been successfully delivered, it appears there was an issue with the delivery of the second item to your address in Denmark. According to the tracking information (UPAAH000000083419265), a delivery attempt was made on April 8th at 9:23 am, but a note was left as the addressee was not at home. The parcel is currently "Awaiting Pickup" at a local facility in København (2100). Please check for a delivery slip or contact your local postal service with your tracking number to arrange for a collection or redelivery, as the item is ready and waiting for you.
Avoid this company
Ordered a phone case. Money taken.. no confirmation and no case has arrived. Their web site “contact” icon is allegedly at the bottom right hand corner of the browser screen. Nothing there. Emailed my problem. No response at all but a tsunami of annoying emails about the company and founder. Chased by email. More irrelevant emails re the company but not proper comms. Utterly hopeless. Will pursue a refund through a charge back. Avoid this company.

Our goal is to resolve this to your satisfaction right away, whether that means getting your case to you immediately or processing a full refund. Again, I am truly sorry for the hopeless experience thus far, and I appreciate the chance to make it right.
IPhone 14 case doesn’t fit StudioShake
Despite doing everything requested by StudioShake to return the defective case they are now saying I am out of time for a refund. Legally I am not. The case was not fit for purpose. I notified StudioShake of this and sent them photos. They asked me to return it tracked. They gave me the wrong postcode so the Post Office couldn’t return it. I was abroad. When I came back I searched for the correct postcode and it was returned. I paid for tracking as requested. Then StudioShake said I took too long to return it and therefore will not refund me. What can I do? What they are doing is illegal. But because the value is relatively small I cannot force a refund. My guess is they bought a load of cheap iPhone cases that do not fit and are trying to get rid of them.
I think my only option is to go to Trading Standards to see if anyone else’s has complained about StudioShake and maybe they can investigate this sharp practice. So disappointing. I liked the case a lot. Shame it wasn’t fit for purpose.

I completely understand your frustration regarding the fit of the case and the difficulties you've faced with the return process. It is never our intention to make things complicated, and I am sorry for the stress this has caused.
While we truly want to help, we are unable to process a refund without confirmation that the item has been returned to us. Because we haven't received the case at our warehouse, we do require a tracking number or a proof of postage receipt to verify the return and move forward with the refund.
If you are able to obtain those details from your local Post Office, please send them over to support@studioshake.co.uk. As soon as we have that proof of purchase for the return shipping, we will be able to investigate this further and work toward a resolution for you.

I have been trying to get a refund for weeks .however they don’t respond to your emails and there doesn’t seem to be any other way to contact them . I sent the cover back tracked Royal Mail so I know they have received it . It’s so frustrating when they have your money but won’t communicate or return it .

Well what a surprise NOT no refund has been received by my credit card provider!! Also the amount due by you is £40.35 not £40 and as promised in previous emails I have never received any refund confirmation from you.

I can confirm that a refund of £40.35 was officially initiated and finalized on our end on January 25, 2026. This transaction successfully cleared our account and was sent back to your original payment method.
At this stage, because the funds have moved out of our financial system and into the banking network, there is no further action we can take from our side to "re-send" or "pull back" the payment.
Next Steps for Resolution:
Contact Your Bank: Please provide your bank or credit card issuer with the date (January 25) and the exact amount (£40.35).
Request a Trace: Ask them to look for a "pending" or "cleared" credit from us. Sometimes banks hold these in a settlement account before they appear on your consumer-facing statement.
We aim for clear communication and quality service, and while I recognize this isn't the immediate resolution you were hoping for, I can assure you that the refund has been fully issued to your bank. They are now the only party with the visibility to track the final movement of those funds into your account.
