platform might be a potential scam !
I find it hard to believe that this platform actually offers real apartments. I signed up and tried to add one of the listings to my wishlist, but instead, the system automatically booked a completely different apartment for me — one I didn’t choose and cannot cancel.
I’ve tried contacting their customer service by phone, but the line is always unavailable. Their response to emails is also extremely slow. I’m still waiting for someone to get back to me to cancel the booking and delete my profile.

El gerente nos estafó. Cuando llegamos el piso estaba sucísimo, el microondas no funcionaba y las cazuelas y sartenes completamente inservibles. Una chica que llegó a la vez que nosotros, reclamó que hacía falta nuevo menaje. Al de dos semanas el gerente entró (tiene llave de tu piso ) por la mañana temprano, despertándonos y montándonos una bronca, y nos echó del piso, quedándose con los gastos de gestión (que es más de una mensualidad), el importe del primer mes y la fianza y, lo que es peor, dejándonos en la calle. Mucho cuidado con esta gente.

We take any reports of misconduct from accommodation providers very seriously and would like to investigate this matter further. Please note that Student.com does not directly manage the properties but acts as a platform to connect students with verified accommodation providers. However, when issues like this are brought to our attention, we do our best to mediate and work toward a fair resolution.
It’s unfortunate that we weren’t informed of this situation prior to this event, as we could have stepped in to support you engaging with the landlord at the time. For reference, all booking payments made through Student.com are passed directly to the accommodation provider, who is responsible for managing tenancy conditions and deposit returns.
We would like to look into your case further, please reach out to us directly so we can understand more and help you directly. We’re here to support you and ensure your concerns are properly addressed.
They are scam artists
They are scam artists! Don't trust them one bit, especially the ratings that they have received. Its all fake. I did my masters in Germany in 2024 and I booked my accommodation through student.com. Initially, a company called Flyhomes will reach out to you. They have a bunch of useless folks who will give you details and instructions regarding the accomodation, including screenshots. Those screenshots are photoshopped pics and do not resemble the actual apartment in any way. Then, they will keep forwarding you to different people, eventually telling you to make the payment through student.com. Once you make the payment, they will tell you to go to Insiderapartments which has offices in Delhi and Berlin. When you reach there, they will give you the key to go and check the apartment. The apartment is so bad that there will be cockroaches running on the floor, no Wifi, no kitchen, uncleaned sheets and not even a proper toilet with privacy. There are no closed rooms, just shower curtains, similar to the setup of a prison. So, obviously, I wasnt going to live there. I returned the keys and found another accommodation. 6 months later they will contact you and ask you to return the keys because they have no documentation of anything and they wont return your deposit that you paid through student.com. Even if you call them, text them or visit in person, they wont return your deposit. Eventually, when I got a response, they told I should contact student.com for the deposit. When I did contact student.com, initially they were really sweet but then a week later, they sent me an email saying they can't return the deposit because Insiderapartments is no longer a partner of theirs. It's quite natural for a person to get angry at this point so I did vent my frustration. There were two people with whom I was in contact, Chandana and Dinesh. Dinesh seems to be the manager of Chandana. As soon as you get angry, this manager Dinesh will call you and lecture you saying that he wont tolerate anyone getting angry at his team and this is not the way to respond to people and they are working on it. Its been 6 months again and I still haven't heard back from them. If you go to Berlin, you will see other people fighting with Insiderapartment employees who have also booked the accommodation through student.com.

Chandana was truly amazing! I just moved from Brazil to London, and she found the perfect apartment for me on the first day. She helped with everything and gave great advice to guide my decision. From the first point of contact until accommodation was secured, Chandana took personal responsibility of any stress and responded to questions and queries as soon as feasibly possible via text with full clarity, having reached out to providers for me if necessary. After securing a late placement opportunity, it wasn’t necessarily ideal to find accommodation at such short notice in the heart of London but Student.com and Chandana made it no trouble and after the process I can truly say you can really trust the customer service to deliver.
