Recently I experienced very unprofessional behaviour from company’s London office staff
They can all benefit from having a good communication and customer service
Two building control visits were booked and confirmed yet the inspector failed to attend when I called their office I was advised visits were not booked yet a confirmation of email received
It’s how I was told, they have no manners
Incompetent, dishonest and bunch of cowboys staff, power crazy Jas thinks she’s actually a local authority herself lol she makes me laugh with her little childish brain
Ravinder, i think she’s a coffee girl doesn’t know how to talk on phone, must say she finds it easier to disconnect people from the phone as she does not know anything what goes on there

Bunch of cowboys, not sure how can local authorities can trust them
Wouldn’t recommend them or trust them
One of my friend used them last year and she’s still waiting a building control certificate
Must say they are good and quick at taking money
Ps my experience was bad with their London office only, my review has no impact on their other offices of the company
Maybe they have competent people working in the other offices

Really good company to work with , Harvir was so helpful throughout the project and on the end of the phkecti double check details when required.

We have worked with Stroma on a couple of our sites. We have found Mohammed Ali a pleasure to work with. Stroma strive to attend site visits when requested and are always happy to help if and where required. I would highly recommend.

Swift, efficient customer service

Trying to sell our house we realised we didn’t have the final certificate for a conservatory that we added back in 2018. Jonathan Lee went above and beyond in helping us find a workable solution. He’s a huge asset to Stroma and I’m so grateful he answered the phone to me that day. He explained everything clearly and helped me get it sorted. Thank you 🙏

A very responsive company who kept us informed throughout the progress of the project. The inspector was thorough and helpful in guiding and advising us of our obligations with useful advice both about the building process and administration required

Having heard scary stories about council building controls delayed delivery of schedules etc we were advised to try Stroma, Having not heard of them as new to this we decided to try them
From start to finish everything was brilliant, timely, quick turnaround of schedules. Detailed information and progress updated on portal which kept me as the homeowner in touch alongside the builder so I knew everything I needed,

I have been on this planet 55 years and never come accross such a badly organised arogant bunch of theives in all my life, totally incompedent BEWARE they will rob you and hang you out to dry, complaining wont help either ( your local council are aware how bad these guys are)

I wouldn’t recommend , I wished I’d used the local BC instead. I appreciate that they have a job to do, and it’s in your own interest for them to be on the ball. But all they are have found interested in covering them selves. No really advise or common sense being used, instead obtain reports & tests, to cover them. I appreciate that not all of the inspectors maybe like one I have.

Excellent, I've been working with Emin Oz from Stroma Building Control for the last 4 years. He is very professional and always gives the right advice. We will keep using their services again because they are worth it. My clients and builders have always been happy with their services. I would certainly recommend them.

Stroma’s BC Officer offered diligent, supportive and technically appropriate help and advice throughout an almost 2 years’ long extension and refurb project. Throughout many unexpected challenges we always received help that was considered and timely, keeping the project on course.

Our chosen Supalite replacement conservatory roof is already factory designed to fully comply with all the current Building Control regulations. The part that needed additional checks/review before the issue of the 'final compliance' certificate was the actual build/installation itself to ensure that the roof has been installed in accordance with the design requirements.
Our chosen 'approved Premium Installer' used Stroma Building Control Ltd to check/review the build stages for this final certification, and we were very impressed with Stroma's efficiency. We were copied their Building Control information sheets as they became available, from their initial involvement on the 24th June, through to the issue of the final certificate on the 1st August. Lewis, in their 'uploading of information' department, had checked and informed me they were just waiting for the final bits of information when I rang in for a status update towards the end of July, and the final approval certificate came through not long after. We're very pleased with our roof and the installation company, and very pleased with the quick turn around by Stroma, certainly far quicker than my previous dealings with Building Control departments directly in the past.

Everything went smooth except few hiccups, finally got the certificate, I am happy. Thank you Stroma & team.

Our building project has been finished over a year now, and we're still waiting for our certificate. I've called 7 times, each time I get different reasons why they can't issue it. We paid the money they required promptly on the 29th May last year. All we have received in return is frustration.Its July 2025 now how much longer do we have to wait.??

Appalling level of service. My builder submitted all necessary drawings and calculations on time and several times over and we are still waiting for this building control approval 12 months after completion of the project. I’ve phoned and emailed numerous times and I’ve never dealt with a company as difficult to deal with. I’m in the process of seeking legal advice and it’s really shocking that it has came to this. If your builder suggests using this company SAY NO. Use the local authority, I really wish we had. AVOID.

Great service
Michael from Stroma Building Control oversaw our project from beginning to end. He was very diligent and thorough and ensure we had all the right documentation and evidence in place. He did site inspections and always followed up with actions and evidence he required from our contractor. He was very professional, kept good communication with us and was also very patient.
We had great service from Stroma and made the whole process stress free.

Harvir Kalsi from Stroma building control ltd has been a great help for us since the start of the project until the end. He was very professional and always giving us the right advice. We will definitely keep using there services again because they are worth it.

Requested information regarding a build Stroma was involved with next door to my property they are not able to provide details hiding behind data act never saw one inspector visit property (I have cctv) Micky mouse company as far as I'm concerned no final signing off certificate received by Birmingham City Council and denial they was involved in ground work to dpc

I initially commissioned a different company to assist with building an extension. At some point stroma took over from the company I hired, though they failed to tell me this. It set a pattern. They emailed asking for things then failed to answer or acknowledge a single email. One surveyor turned up for 5 minutes and left, only to be followed by more unanswered emails. Their communication has been appalling, and they have now terminated the contract having been paid to do nothing. Would absolutely NOT recommend using this shambles.
