No consideration for my complaint!

I posted an bad experience with them in a previous posting relating to overcollection of KYC data and involvement of risky third party to verify KYC data!

This is their answer:
"We must say, your reason for posting a bad review is quite surprising! Do you really believe we can open a business account without collecting your passport and verifying your identity? That’s just standard KYC procedure—nothing out of the ordinary."

My answer:
They did not even bother to try to understand my point! Of course i offered my passport for KYC. My point is: i told them in the beginning of the application, i dont want RISKY third party involvement for verification. And then what happened! They asked for risky third party verification. Pointing to that from my side, they canceled the account application immedealty. Summary:

a) One hand does not know what the other does in this case!

b) Customer support is not able to read a simple complaint and answer accordingly like an apology for lost time! They are surprise! PATHETIC!!

c) No apology for mistakes!

Maybe better work with an established professional company!

Or should we say Henry Cheng (your previous name on Trustpilot), or perhaps Mr. Vice President at a major bank in Hong Kong (the title you claimed when applying for a business account with us).

We do owe you an apology—for the late reply.

That’s about it.

As for the rest, we won’t be apologizing to you (or anyone) who applies for a business account but refuses to go through standard identity verification. You know, the process where you show your passport on camera, then your face, and blink your eyes.
Like it or not, that’s how compliance works.

We’re in the business of serving clients who are proud of who they are and the businesses they build—not those who prefer to stay in the shadows. And if that means getting the occasional one-star review, so be it. If this even helps keep others with the same mindset away, all the better.

Statrys just committed theft

Statrys just committed theft, it's unbelievable what Statrys is doing. Statrys unilaterally closed the company's account while the company was still in operation, with the result that all the money in the account balance was lost. Statrys has not even been able to explain for what reasons such a nonsense, incomprehensible to common sense, was done. Statrys are thieves.

1. Has Statrys committed any theft? NO. The remaining balance in your company’s business account has been remitted to your company via check.

2. Do we understand your frustration? YES. You wished the funds to be sent to your personal account instead of your company.

3. Is Statrys responsible for your frustration? NO. We acted in strict accordance with the regulations, ensuring your responsibility as the company’s director is protected. The actual issue lies with your company secretary or lawyer, who failed to inform you about the rules governing company deregistration.

LONG ANSWER– STRONGLY RECOMMENDED READING FOR DIRECTORS AND SHAREHOLDERS OF HONG KONG LIMITED COMPANIES.

When a Hong Kong limited company attains dormant status and applies for deregistration, the following legal requirements apply:

1. All assets must be collected, all liabilities settled, and no accounting transactions should occur during dormancy.

2. Funds cannot be distributed to shareholders until deregistration is completed.

3. Director’s Responsibilities: Company directors are personally responsible for ensuring compliance with these legal obligations.

In conclusion, deregistering a company in Hong Kong (or any jurisdiction) is subject to clear regulatory requirements. It is advisable to seek legal counsel to ensure full compliance.

For someone who claims to have experience as a Vice President at a major bank in Hong Kong, we might have expected a more thorough understanding of standard KYC procedures.
In particular, verifying a client’s identity electronically is a basic requirement that we cannot and will not bypass.
If that expectation feels unreasonable or unfamiliar to you, we encourage you to consider a fintech or bank that doesn’t take regulatory obligations as seriously as we do. Why not check with your employer?
At Statrys, however, we prioritize secure and compliant operations, even if it means some applications don’t move forward and lead us to be labelled as “trash” or a “scam.

Very disappoint

Very disappoint !
They refused to open an account for an company running since 8 years and working with CURRENXIE, RAPYD and other competitor of them without ANY reasons. What a shame.

Company Incorporation

Nestor and the team were great from start to finish; they were upfront with all information and filled in the gaps of my understanding when I asked for clarification. Process seemed relatively straight-forward and the cost seemed reasonable. Follow up has been great too, they are on-point with reminders for deadlines (submitting paperwork etc) and friendly about it, too. Easy to recommend them to another new sole trader such as myself.

Unrivalled Customer Support in the Industry

My company has been signed on with Statrys only for a month, and have had an amazing customer service experience unrivalled by other banks. The CS team is extremely quick, always replying within an hour max, and go above and beyond. Great Fintech bank for FX coverage and multi-currency accounts

I’ve been using Statrys for a few years now and can’t recommend them enough. They’ve been doing a fantastic job, and it’s great to see them constantly expanding and improving their services. As an entrepreneur in South-East Asia with a company registered in Hong Kong, I really value their multi-currency account. End-to-end solution, white-glove & efficient service

I have tried several banking solutions for my different projects and Statrys is definitely the one that provided the highest quality overall. A quick breakdown of my experience with them:
1) An end-to-end solution: they really took care of everything, so I only had to deal with them, very convenient, from company setup to ready-to-use (registration + bank account activated).
2) A white-glove service: they guided me through every steps, they went beyond the scope of the service I paid for (I had issue/questions related to tax/accounting and they always tried to answer and provide additional info/tips)
3) Extremely efficient: company registration+account opening/activation went super fast, just a few days

I strongly recommend them if you want to open an account in Hong Kong or Singapore.

This company is run by a Frenchman and…

This company is run by a Frenchman and has a typical French feel.

On the one hand, the website is very artfully done. Good detail and professional, better than any competitor website I would say.

On the other hand, to speak to someone you need make an "appointment" and my emails were all answered after a full 2 days.

This is typical for continental Europe, but for local Hong Kong service providers, the response time is usually a couple of hours.

So if you're from the old world, you'll feel right at home with these guys. If you're used to HK service, go elsewhere.

Statrys: Where Incompetence Meets Scam Artistry

I applied to open a business bank account with Statrys. After submitting the required documents, Statrys emailed me to request an up-to-date Business Registration Certificate, which I didn’t have, since our previous year’s certificate had already expired, and the new certificate hadn’t come in yet (certificates takes 1-2 months to be issued each year).

I told Statrys this, and they requested three additional pieces of documentation to replace the Business Registration Certificate. I provided all 3 within 3 hours of Statrys’ request. Statrys then responded with this:

“Thank you for providing all the remaining documents/information.

Regarding the Business Registration Certificate, we can move forward with your business account application under the following condition:

You will need to transfer your company’s secretarial services to Statrys Corporate Services Limited to resolve the compliance issue related to the certificate.

Additionally, there will be no monthly fees for this service.

Kindly sign and return the form to us if you wish to proceed.“

When I asked why Statrys would provide company secretary services for no fees, they told me that they in fact do charge a fee for company secretary services (despite what they said above) and that only the monthly banking fee would be waived.

I pointed out the inaccuracy in the information they had just given me, and also pointed out that it didn’t seem necessary to transition my company secretary services, which has been with one service provider for many years, just to open a bank account.

Then I received an email from Statrys’ COO and co-founder, who told me that because I haven’t moved my company secretary services to Statrys, they’ve declined my application to open a bank account.

Surprised about this, I responded to the COO (and cc’ed Statrys’ other co-founder) and asked for clarification. The COO responded with this:

“I’m afraid your application is now closed as this opportunity has passed.

I wish you all the best in finding an alternative payment solution for your company.

Best regards"

I reached out to both co-founders about that response and received this response:

“Dear Jordan,

Your application for a Business account has been declined because you can not provide a valid BR proving that your company is in good order.

Best regards"

I responded to both co-founders again explaining that I’d already provided the three pieces of documentation that has been explicitly requested for opening an account without the current Business Registration Certificate.

They ignored my email.

I followed up 5 days later to both co-founders plus one additional executive.

All three ignored my email.

I followed up another 6 days later to the same three executives plus several other Statrys executives.

All of them ignored my email.

--- HERE’S THE LESSON IN ALL THIS ---
Statrys’ business practices are both misleading and unethical, relying on bait-and-switch tactics to coerce customers into using their add-on services. They spread untruths repeatedly in their messaging and communications, and when those untruths are pointed out to them, they reject and ignore you.

Their refusal to engage in any sort of dialogue demonstrates their complete disregard for customer satisfaction, and clearly shows that Statrys throws people away as soon as those people don’t do exactly what they want.

The level of unprofessionalism shown by Statrys throughout the entire process has been astounding. I strongly recommend every entrepreneur to avoid working with them in any capacity.

Where unreasonable expectation meets bad faith.

Thank you for your creative take on this situation. The story begins with Statrys requesting the Business Registration Certificate for your Hong Kong company.

Just to clarify for others reading along, you seem to believe that obtaining a Business Registration Certificate takes 1 to 2 months—interesting. The rest of the business world manages to get it done in a fraction of that time.

You didn’t have the document available but insisted on opening the account quickly. In the spirit of trying to help, we offered our company services to resolve this 'compliance issue.
Instead of seeing this as a solution, you latched onto one sentence in an email to claim that all services should be free.

Nice try!

As for the constant chasing and follow-ups, thinking we’d eventually cave to your demands—well, we simply stopped engaging because, frankly, we knew the inevitable bad review was coming.

You just took a little longer than we expected. If the cost of avoiding a client acting in bad faith is a one-star review, we’ll gladly take that every time.

Best of luck finding a business account with a company that can meet your expectations—something we definitely cannot match.
