Starbucks sends out email promo's (buy $25, get a $5 card on us). You buy the card, you don't get the promo.
I spoke to a supervisor (Michael) and they claim it was a limited time offer. I replied that their website allowed me to purchase, and did not say "promo not valid" etc. 3 months later, 7 emails, and 3 calls to find out that they don't honor their promo.
I feel that they use shady & false advertising in their promos ... and not inform the customer at point of sale that the promo is not available.

Starbucks is generally reliable and the drinks are what you’d expect, so no real complaints there. However, during my last visit the wait time was much longer than it should have been, especially considering it wasn’t overly busy. The staff were polite, but the service felt slow and a bit disorganized. Overall it was okay, but the long wait took away from the experience.

Shitshow service
Wow. So they close the location that we used to go to and now it’s a dead zone to find a location. The nearest three are all a long drive away. Also now they are extremely slow because of the long line (30 minutes and counting on app order). Closing locations may have been good for the cost side of the ledger but shit service isn’t good for the revenue side. I hardly go now because each time it’s a shit show.

i've had both good and bad experiences but they are still ignoring problems. The app glitches too often sometimes reward don't show up and customer services asks for unnecessary proof even when the issue is clearly on their side
on top of that is the order accuracy has become unstable especially at the drive-though and the food often feels like it's reheated just to cover up how stale it is
im not saying Starbucks is terrible but it's differently not as polished as it used to be
there are still helpful Baristas and decent drinks but the lack of attention to detail make it frustrating

Drive through satisfaction
I visited a drive through store last night. After driving away we realized the drink was full to the top with ice leaving very little room for the beverage. I didn't feel good about this and went through the app to chat with Starbucks. My concern was heard, and I was credited the cost of the beverage to purchase again.

WHY Cineplex SHOULDN"T run a Starbucks in their theatres. !!! :(
I have seen a caramel macchiato made over 1000 times and I was in shock this time to first watch the employee frantically look around for things than ask other employees how to make it checking out the how to cards they have behind the counter and the attempt it and as I watched this poor employee without any training obviously first put in the caramel into the bottom of the cup squeeze away then she steamed the milk then watched as she stirred the steamed milk and the caramel to finish it off she put in the 2 containers of espresso and handed it to me. A bit backwards, and I didn't get that happy caramel taste right off the first sip, but I also don't think I was wrong in saying anything. I paid 7.00 for a Grande, by the way, the cashier told me they don't have that size, only large. Another mistake since they should never refer to a Starbucks beverage size as a LARGE. I did end up drinking my 7.00 steamed milk large drink, but experience wise if you want anything from Starbucks, go to a location other than the ones in a Cineplex, where the training is nonexistent 3 employees behind this counter, and not one of them knew how to make it. If this is the experience across all the Cineplex locations, like the Niagara Falls location, then don't purchase any drinks, just stick to the fountain pop its safer at least the employees don't have to mix or make anything.
Politicizing cups
Starbucks, I applaud the decisions of your staff to choose not to write the name "Charlie Kirk" on the cups of customers. Please continue to do this and maitain a neutral political stance.
No one has the right to shove their personal political views in the faces of other people who may passionately disagree with them, it only fuels the anger and hatred that is dividing America.
If they want Mr. Kirk's name on their cup of joe they are free to do it themselves (with their OWN pen !) but you are under no obligation to comply.
No one has the right to hijack your business and use it as a political tool.

Ask for Receipts to Save Yourself
I was on my third and last drink to get a 200 point perk. I went to the drive through and the app glitched making me unable to use my card. I still bought my drink anyways. I contacted Starbucks Canada to see if I could get those points and they said I need a physical receipt. I sent them a video of the app crashing and a photo of the receipt printed on the drink. They said I need proof of payment. It’s kinda ridiculous that you would need to submit a bank statement or something similar for a mistake they made. The barista also told me they had multiple customers that morning with the app glitching issue.
The Starbucks reward program
The Starbucks reward program. I have the app. I linked my payment cards to the app. Still not getting my rewards. The Baristas don't know how to make it work. I called Starbucks nearly had to threaten to get information. And then still not enough information to make the system work. What do I have to do to make this work? Given the price of their products, you would think they would go out of their way to help customers. Unless that is not the case.
