Incredible provider! We had a 10/10 experience, and their customer support team is simply amazing.

Had a billing issue I needed help with and honestly was not sure how it would go. Sidra from the support team was incredible. She listened, understood my situation, and went out of her way to make it right. Did not feel dismissed or ignored, which is rare. The tool itself is great for competitive research but what really impressed me was how they handled things when something went sideways. That is the real test of a company and they passed it.

Despite some SEO and backlink tools being a tad outdated (relative to competitors), Spyfu still offers an excellent SEM platform. The best feature by far is the "SpyGPT" feature, where you can see how ChatGPT and other LLMs are presenting your brand and how to be mentioned more by AI models. The overall user interface of SpyFu could be improved, as I feel the tabular interface is less effective overall when compared to competitors Moz and Semrush. For the price, this is an excellent digital marketing tool that should be added to every digital marketers suite of tools.

I’ve tried SEMRush and Ahrefs, but they felt complicated. SpyFu’s cheaper and gives me loads more keywords. I’m not a tech genius, but I got results fast.

: Warning: SpyFu's Unauthorized Billing Scam

My recent encounter with SpyFu has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite never signing up for their services or providing consent, I found myself being billed for over a year. This unauthorized billing amounts to nothing short of fraud.

Upon discovering these charges, I immediately contacted their customer support, seeking an explanation and refund. However, the response has been inadequate, leaving me feeling ignored and deceived.

This experience serves as a stark warning to others: beware of SpyFu's deceptive billing practices. It's crucial to stay vigilant and hold companies accountable for their fraudulent behavior. Until SpyFu addresses this issue and improves their practices, I strongly advise against trusting them with your business.

I'm not happy with this crowd.

I've decided to subscribe to their "Professional", $39 for the first month, package.

In one instance they charged me two times $39, in two separate transactions marked as "Groceries".

When I raised the issue with their representative, they denied the two transactions and offered to refund me "the only $39 payment they have on their system" and keep the "subscription" on - even after I send them proof from my bank of the transaction reports for the two separate charges of $39 each marked as "Groceries".

Well, that's when they stopped chatting with me and I see that the "subscription" had been cancelled immediately.

But I am still short of $78.

Oh, and suddenly the email address I submitted to them got bombarded with spam "reports". May be coincidence, right?

They continued to charge me like for eight months after canceling and then only credited back one month.

Most of the time when you attempt to use the site its freezing, crashing, takes 10 mins to carry out a simple search, or just takes 10 mins and doesn't do anything. Terrible site that is rarely ever working properly.
If you've got plenty of time to waste waiting for it to actually do something, this is for you.
If you haven't got plenty of time to waste waiting for it to do something or of you don't like customer service that work 1 minute of a day, this is not for you.

decent software is useful but not as useful as i wanted the reporting looks bad so a feature that allows me to use the data and make it look better would help, other then that you get what you pay for. i would give it a 3.5 also it is not good for the entire world so make sure to check if they are able to help you for the country you need it.

Not enough data and is a big waste of money for Keyword search. If you don't get a 1-week free trial just don't go for this company. Note: Maybe this applies to UK companies and they might have better data for US businesses.

Their reports can sometimes be inaccurate but other than that they’re pretty decent at showing you what competitors are doing

This is the best tool of its kind that I found, however there are still some things that could be improved. First, I've tested their reports against a known adwords account I use. Spyfu estimates are very off in some cases. They provide reasonable guesses, but I would caution against assuming their numbers are 100% accurate. Overall, I still use it and will do so until something better comes along.

The quality of the product is impressive, however, this is only when it actually works.

We signed up during the summer of 2018. It was slow to update and it got to October and there was still no UK data for July, August or September. Spyfu agreed to give us two months reimbursed but this still left us unable to provide accurate reports to management, frustrating when you've just convinced them to purchase Spyfu.

Another key issue is the support. If you're UK-based, you won't receive any, well, not until the last hour of your shift. You see, there is no UK-based team it appears. If you have a problem arise at 9.20am, then you aren't going to have a solution until right at the end of your shift (I've experienced this recently when the website was down all day in UK time but there was clearly nobody around to fix it, preventing me from gathering data for our board).

SCAM ALERT.SPYFU IS A RIP-OFF!!! The product is no better than the free SEMRush. They tell you $33 per month and then when you go to cancel will see they charged your card $399. Stay away. It isn't worth getting cheated.

I've been a Spyfu customer on and off since about 2014. I've usually cancelled my account only when I haven't had any clients or research needs to use it.

Since September 2017 I've been on the Pro plan at $99 a month, upgrading from the $39 a month basic plan. Last night in looking at my business credit card statement I realized that Spyfu had been double billing me both amounts for eight months, for an overbilling total of $312.00.

I emailed support last night about it and this morning they have already issued a refund. I've worked with a lot of SaaS companies over the years in my line of work, and the majority of them would fight tooth and nail on this or make up excuses - I'm happy to say Spyfu is not like those companies.

On top of this, it is a great service for research, though like all SEO/SEM research tools the data is never exact, but only something to help set the table in discussing client strategies and tactics. That said, I plan on keeping my subscription as long as I have enough clientele that needs it.

I had a situation occur where I had two accounts running at the same time. The customer service rep Danielle was wonderful and did all she could for me. Thank you so much for being such an honest company!

Great software with LOTS of valuable SEO features, also attractive pricing when compared to the competition. To me (as a UX design person), the user interface is at times less than intuitive.

SpyFu for me has been a great conversation starter with potential clients. I sent a report to one potential client I had been working with. And the next time I saw him at a meeting, he had it in hand, printed out, and was asking me what certain things met. It's a real help to me.
