I have travelled with Derek ,for years without a problem ,but have not gone with him in the last few years I liked the look of a trip to the West Indies ,and found that Derek now had a partner "David" who would be dealing with my inquiry .The red flags started flying straight away ,as I live in Bulgaria I suggested that I fly to Rome then direct to Antigua ,but "David" was not having any of that , he booked me on 2 separate flights to London staying overnight before another long haul flight the next day. When I arrived in Antigua no one to meet me ,a taxis took me to the the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, not very clean and cockroaches ,for company .The place was set in the middle of nowhere ,a taxis cost nearly £40 and that was just to the nearest bank ,and another £40 waiting time! The food was awful ,brittle bacon ,and under cooked eggs,Where was "David"? I discovered he had arrived in The West Indies a couple of days after me ,but had gone to Barbados and was staying at the (4.5*) Blue Horizion very nice!.He did meet me in Barbados and went with me to the hotel .where I discovered I had the wrong suitcase ,I asked him to phone the airport, but he would not and got the receptionist to phone a taxis to get it, but after paying for it my suitcase did not arrive .I then had to take another taxis to the airport and get my case myself ,and paid again with my card which "David" had suggested and found I had been ripped off to the tune of $700 (£271) he had changed flights and messed me about which ended up with me been taken to hospital when I reached Sofia .There are a lot of good sports holiday companies out there who will look after you really well ,why take a risk .I am 83 years old and did not deserve this Eileen Strain
My complaint is solely to do with David as Derek had no part in this ,David changed the Itinerary 3 times and one time had me arriving in Frankfurt and leaving from Munich 1 hour later ,he knew exactly what he was doing and he knows exactly what I am saying Thank you I am still recovering from health scare ,and have been warned by doctors that this was a warning ,I know this is no concern to anyone else but my nearest and dearest. So I will not be drawn into mud slinging ,and will learn by my expensive mistake nearly(£12,000).Never again

It was my first experience of watching cricket abroad, but I would have no hesitation in using Sports Link again. We saw the third test of the India v England Test Series. The trip was very well organised from start to finish. Smooth transfers from Delhi to Rajkot and return. While the accommodation in Rajkot was of a very good standard with door to door transfer each day from our hotel to the stadium. Indeed Sports Link had security passes to take us direct to our entrance gate at the stadium. The seats procured by Sports Link were excellent, right in front of the England dressing room with a fantastic view of the field of play. We were throughout our time in Rajkot looked after by an excellent Tour Manager, Derek, who sorted out any queries, and looked after us extremely well. Indeed, when the match finished a day early, an excursion was organised for us. All in all a first class service and tour, and I would have no hesitation in using Sports Link again.

Another enjoyable cricket holiday with Sports Links Travel. Good company and an excellent tour manager in whom we had complete confidence built up over many years.

The travel experience was exactly as detailed in my itinerary; no problem with tickets for planes & trains & booked taxis were always on time. Our tour manager was excellent, as were all of our different guides for different sites & booked taxi drivers were courteous & very professional in difficult driving conditions. I will certainly use Sportlinks again & recommend them for anybody considering such a holiday.

Sport Links travel offer a fantastic opportunity to see the sport you enjoy and it is all organised so well.Derek and David are very professional guys but are also very easy to talk to about any queries you may have.
The hotels are always good quality and if you want to do something different either before after or during your sporting trip they can organise all of this for you.
We have travelled with Derek many times now and love the way he always looks after us and hope to go with him again.

4 of us had a great cricket tour to India with Sport Links Travel. I would thoroughly recommend them and use them again. Derek and David provided a bespoke professional service with a lot of attention to detail.

Well organised with everything running to plan.

Great to have been on such a well organised tour of India. We would have been lost at railway stations without the dedicated representatives to meet us and ferry us to our hotels. The 6 hotels we stayed in were all of an excellent standard with restaurants offering delicious food.

Everything from initial planning to conception on the recent England tour of New Zealand was meticulous and all went according to plan. We have used Sportlinks Travel on all our previous overseas cricket tours and would not hesitate recommending to any individual or groups contemplating future overseas cricket tours e.g. India Jan/Feb 2024

Went to New Zealand with them and got caught up with Cyclone Gabrielle. This necessitated the tour manager, Derek, having to rearrange travel and hotels for the middle part of the tour, at a time when everyone else was also booking alternative arrangements. This he did without any fuss, thanks to his long experience in managing yours.

Good communication during the booking of the tour and in the main everything went according to plan. One or two minor glitches during the holiday but nothing to take away the enjoyment of the cricket and the beauty of South Africa and Zimbabwe!
In fairness to Sportslink this is the first time I have used them and I was told my some of my fellow travellers, who have used them many times, that normally the tours operate very smoothly.

Good communication from Derek throughout the booking and pre-trip process. The trip was stress-free and went perfectly to plan. I enjoyed every minute.

Firstly it was the whole experience of going to Pakistan a country I had never visited before. Organisation and Logistics where excellent and our Tour guides where efficient and helpful. Flights and Transfers where excellent

I was booked with Sportlinks to travel to Barbados and Grenada for the 2nd and 3rd Test Matches in March. Unfortunately just prior to my scheduled departure I tested positive for COVID throwing my plans into disarray. Derek and David then went to work and made a series of alternative arrangements to flights etc in anticipation of my eventually testing negative. In the event they salvaged as much of my holiday as was possible and on my return home from an extremely enjoyable holiday (despite England’s poor performance!) assisted me in a successful recovery of the losses I had incurred. Their handling of my arrangements, as always, was first class. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone thinking of touring with England on their overseas Tests.
