Kept getting messages on my website contact page from Kerri Turner, the last time it was Kerri something else, telling me I had miss spelled a word on my website, my website definitely has no miss spellings, a marketing ploy to get you to sign up to spellscan, best ignore it

We got a review from Kerri too alerting us to a spelling mistake on our website, Leslie-Castle.com. At first I was grateful and went to the spellscan but was put off by the sites lack of transparency on their fees. It is a kind of reel you in and sign you up. Other reviews left confirmed my suspicions. I can’t spell well but at least I am honest about it.

We received a similar email this morning from Kerri Turner, saying we had misspelt "aswell". Gone through our website and we don't use this word, so thought something was odd. Glad I checked out spellscan before replying!!

Yes I had a mis-spelled word on my website but I then researched Spellscan on trustpilot so decided to manually check my website for spelling mistakes and found 3! I wouldn't use spellscan due to the negative reviews on Trustpilot.

Scam for sure. Got the same message from a Kerri Allen of Allen & Co. wanting to alert us on a misspelled word that doesn’t exist on our website. SEM like Kerris last name and company changes with the wind. I didn’t visit the website or send an email afraid of security issues.

Scam website "Kerri" emailing our website to tell us we have spelling mistakes on the site whilst plugging her own spellscan website. I see it's happening to a lot of people.

I hate companies like this.

I too received an email from Kerri. Kerri must get around alot with all those last names. Ha! BUT the one she told me about definitely was wrong right there on the home page. The others it listed on the test looked like they could be mispelled but they were actually last names and were correct. I could definitely see this as being a good product, especially if you are making constant changes on your website.

I wish companies like this would put their pricing on the website. I know there is a free month's trial but why not be upfront about your cost.

I was happy to correct the home page.

Either it's a scam or marketing, they are doing a really bad job!!

Same email - this time from Kerri Anderson telling me which was misspelt. I’ve had the email before and never have managed to find the word!

It looks like you've misspelled the word "seperately" on your website. I thought you would like to know :). Silly mistakes can ruin your site's credibility. I've used a tool called SpellScan.com in the past to keep mistakes off of my website.

same message from Kerri Turner, recommending I use spellscan.com. She even left a phone no. I looked up the no., and it's for Comfort Inn, Castro Valley, California.

Scam/spam

Same email to my site from "Kerri" (that barbed comment about ruining your credibility delivered with a smiley emoji was a bit of a classic) and had the same experience trying to email a 'thanks for the heads up' message, i.e. it bounced back. Maybe this is a fishing expedition for the email I replied on? Please let me know if you messaged "Kerri" and had any further trouble...!

Same spammy message about spelling "nevermind" wrong. Spam spam spam with an unoriginal message.

Message from Kerri saying same as others have reported. A scam...

No stars if that were an option.
You're not really Kerri who happens to use SpellScan and found "Commissioner" misspelt on our site.

Bloody classic scam, a bit more clever and dangerous than the usual phishing attempts. Its a canned formula judging from all the other reviews here. Almost fell for it till I decided to think better and googled the website recommended......

Excellent idea to click on trustpilot first. I almost fell for this because I do have a website and my surname exists.

Spellscan - they spelt it wrong SPELLSCAM! so glad I googled before I wasted any time. What sort of sad low life has nothing better to do than send such messages - you cant help but feel sorry for them.

I was spammed the same way as all these others. After looking for misspelled word diligently and not finding it, I honestly felt it was funny that anyone would ever bother sending that message through a "prayer request form" and I was correct! I am so glad I looked this us. It certainly wasted my time, but I wanted to spend an extra couple of minutes to leave this review to let others become aware as well!
