Spade Himalaya is a Nepal-based trekking and tour company built around one simple idea: a great Himalayan trip should be safe, honest, and run by people who know the country first-hand. We are based in Lalitpur, in the Kathmandu Valley, and we design both treks and tours across Nepal. For trekkers, we run guided routes to Everest Base Camp, the Annapurna region, the Manaslu Circuit, Langtang, and Makalu, along with quieter trails such as Mardi Himal, Gosaikunda, and the short treks near Kathmandu and Pokhara. For travellers who prefer to ride more than walk, we also arrange tours and sightseeing, from the historic temples and cities of the Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara to scenic helicopter flights over the high Himalaya. Whether you want a gentle first trek, a big high-pass adventure, or a relaxed cultural tour, we plan an itinerary that matches your fitness, your time, and your budget. Every trip is led by a licensed, English-speaking guide and supported by experienced local staff. As a registered Nepali agency, we arrange your permits, transport, and lodging, so you can focus on the experience. Safety always comes first. What makes us different is local knowledge and a personal touch. Spade Himalaya is founder-led, so you deal directly with people who know these mountains and trails, not a faceless booking desk. Fantastic trek to Annapurna Base Camp

We booked the 9 Day Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Spade Himalaya for in June 2026, coming all the way from Australia. The whole journey was fantastic and the views were even better than expected. Our guide Yubaraj was excellent, professional, friendly and attentive the whole way. We did face some rain on the way down since it was close to monsoon season, but the experience up to base camp made it completely worth it. We are planning to return next year to trek Everest Base Camp with Spade Himalaya too. Highly recommended for anyone considering a trek in Nepal.

So glad the trek lived up to (and beat!) your expectations, even with a bit of rain thrown in near the end - that's just Nepal in June for you, but sounds like it didn't take anything away from the experience. Yubaraj really is one of the best, we'll let him know you said all this, he'll be so happy.

Best decision I made, EBC with Spade Himalaya

Honestly wasn't sure what to expect booking a trek from home, but Spade Himalaya made the whole thing so easy.

Did the 14 day Everest Base Camp trek and it was one of the best things I've ever done. The first two days my legs were complaining a bit haha but our guide never rushed us. He kept checking how everyone was feeling, especially higher up where the air gets thin. That meant a lot to me because I'd read about people getting altitude sick from going too fast.

Little things stood out. Hot lemon tea waiting at the teahouse. The porters somehow always in a good mood even carrying way more than me. Our guide pointing out stuff I'd have walked straight past.

Was it tough? Yeah. Some mornings were freezing and I questioned my life choices. But reaching Base Camp and seeing Everest right there... I actually got a bit emotional. Worth every hard step.

Everything was sorted before I even asked, permits, tea houses, all of it. Zero stress on my end.

If you're thinking about EBC just book with these guys. Can't recommend them enough.

Alyan, "worth every hard step" is exactly right, and honestly one of the best lines we've heard about EBC. Glad the pace felt right too, going slow up high isn't just about comfort, it genuinely matters for how the trip feels, so it's great to hear your guide kept checking in as the air got thinner. The hot lemon tea waiting at the teahouse, that's one of those small things we make sure happens every time, so it means a lot that it stuck with you. Sounds like the porters earned every bit of that praise as well. Thanks for trusting us with the planning and permits, and for such a heartfelt review.
