Unfortunately, we found SouthStar to be yet another financial lender that put us through the ringer, only to spend over a month on our account and have nothing to be solidified in the end. Brian appeared to be nice and straightforward at the beginning, offering a purchase order based line of credit approval to us after about two weeks of chatting. However, I found out that the "approval" wasn't real after signing all the documentation needed and trying to access our line of credit, and they continued to drag their feet on our account. Every time we spoke, there was yet another litany of documents and information that they requested that wasn't needed before our "approval". We are a small but growing business that needed a better way to manage cash flow in between $80k - $100k purchase orders that didn't lean into traditional loan rates as the current rates are insanely high, which he agreed on. Unfortunately, I cannot regain the time that was lost and should have moved on after the first two weeks of time wasting. Reviews seemed good, but I would steer clear if you have experience being mislead and taken advantage of as many other black owned businesses do, especially in 2023 after the rush of "support black businesses" completely died off.

These guys are a real class act at every angle. We were in need of an excellent partner and let me tell you, they are. We started with Wes and now deal with David a ton and Scott sometimes as well. They are excellent teammates for us and dont know where we would be without them. We are blessed to have this relationship honestly. Thank you- Rick Spano

I am a new customer of SouthStar Capital and they funded my government purchase order(PO) of over $120,000. I completed their paperwork and provided my government invoice and other documents and my PO was financed within two weeks. The process went smoothly after providing documents. There is a team of SouthStar Capital representatives working to make sure you are successful. They called me several times to make sure I had everything I need. I would recommend SouthStar Capital to all which I have. They are a hidden jewel.

This company is Amazing!!! Before connecting with them I looked into other contract financing companies but I was turned down because of the contract value. They said they wanted to finance gov contracts of 100k value or more. I began to get discouraged and looked into financing from banks but still wasn’t getting what I needed. I was looking for a revolving line of credit to finance my business needs whenever I’d be awarded a government contract. So if I got a typical loan from a bank I wouldn’t have access to another loan in the case of winning another government contract and I knew it would limit me. That’s when I ran across SouthStar I left my information and Carlos reached out to me. From day one Carlos has been God sent so helpful and knowledgeable. I told him the background of my company and how I was really just looking for a break to connect with a company who understood my vision so they sky could be the limit. This company is just that an answered prayer not only did they accept my company to provide financing they have also helped me gain knowledge on how to run a successful company that keeps track of everything book keeping etc. They provide factoring whether values are high or low. The closing process was about two weeks Carlos and the team were so encouraging throughout the process. If I felt overwhelmed they were one call away and I appreciated that so much. They often reassured me to just trust the process and I did just that. I’ve never worked with a company who was so invested in seeing me win. They also provided me my very own account manager who will always be one step or phone call away. Lori is amazing and has been an asset in helping me with funding my first government contract. If you’re looking for a company who does purchase order financing and invoice factoring look no further SouthStar is for you!!!!!

I have to say before becoming a southstar customer I was scared that my business would fold. After becoming a client of Southstar we have been able to scale and meet most of our obligations. My dedicated account manager Lori has been a god send to me somehow she knows how to get me through stressful situations and is a grand resource to my business. I would say if I had to say what could improve in general would be more funding options for long standing customers other than invoice factoring maybe a term loan option. But overall if you become a southstar customer you will not be disappointed.
