I purchased a £2,499 sofa from Sofology 9 months ago (Order Ref: 3905392-2).
The structural frame and spring rail snapped due to a support foot being installed in the wrong location by THEIR delivery team.
Sofology's own technician inspected the sofa on 22/09/2026 and officially logged the issue as a "MANUFACTURING DEFECT". And stated in writing that the support foot was installed in the wrong location during assembly instead of the pre-drilled hole, creating a weak structure that caused the timber to snap. Despite their own expert confirming a manufacturing error and me holding a 5-Year Sofashield policy covering structural defects at £0 excess, Sofology refused to repair, replace or refund the sofa free of charge. Instead, they demanded a £312 benefit of use fee for any of the above options because the sofa broke after their 6 month guarantee period, even though my insurance policy covers structural defects outside of their guarantee period.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers are not liable for costs to rectify manufacturing faults. I have rejected their improper demands and officially referred Sofology to the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman (FHIO) for formal adjudication. Extremely disappointing service, I would give zero stars if it were an option.

Sales staff Gary was brilliant, even when I said I was going to have a look at the other furniture stores on the complex.
I chose a settee and chair, then changed my mind and finished buying the more expensive one in leather.
He even came out to the car to say goodbye and take care to my husband who went back to the car with the dog. I gave him a big hug for being brilliant through the whole experience, a true gentleman who knows his products.

Made an unplanned visit to Sofology Hull. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They made a big fuss of our dog. Holly, who helped us, was very informative but not pushy at all. We found our perfect suite but needed to measure up at home first. She put everything in an online basket which we could review and amend as we wanted. We returned to the store to complete our order with Holly.

Nice relaxed atmosphere in the store. All staff were very welcoming and easy to talk to. Store is laid out very well, so finding certain products was easy. Charlotte helped us with our purchase and she did a great job of taking us through every detail.

Store experience was good. Customer services however was not. We received confirmation that the sofa was to be delivered. We picked the date which was confirmed by sofology after we had paid the outstanding balance. 2 days before delivery we were told that the delivery had been cancelled as the outstanding balance had not been paid. Escalated and expected an immediate response. Nothing. Called customer services who confirmed there was no outstanding balance and could see no reason why it was cancelled. Escalated again and expected a call back but again nothing. Sofa arrived and it looks good but so disappointed in the attitude of customer services. Spent hours calling them to sort the issue but there seemed no urgency. The delivery date had to be changed which meant I had to cancel appointment s to accommodate their error. Processes are atrocious and slas non existent.

This is my second review, I had my first sofa delivered on the 10th may 2026 and was faulty on delivery they confirmed it was faulty and my options was I could have a like for like or I could purchase another suite but HAS to be same value or more!! So I picked another one which cost me more money then later I went on to there terms and conditions and it states there that I could of had a full refund or if purchased a cheaper suite they would refund the difference but I wasn’t OFFERED that!!!!!
My new sofas came yesterday 01/09/2026 and both sofas faulty even the delivery driver said it’s not right he took photos and sent them in to the office, there’s gaps in both sofas in between the cushions, the legs on one sofa don’t touch the floor the stitching is misaligned, cushions uneven !!! And they saying I can’t have a refund!!! but on there terms and conditions says I am in my rights for a refund !! Doesn’t give me options to download photos !
