I agree with the previous notes corresponding to one star service.
I had the similar most horrendous experience with SNG Barratt. Regardless whether it was their Dutch office and the worse service at French office, and the liaison between the two is unbelievably time consuming and inefficient ( and I suggest language inconsistent). I have ordered the parts and provided my bank card details. And haven’t heard from either office for two weeks, ( my guess is that they never have available parts and they have to order elsewhere). Two weeks later my card was charged and shipment made whilst I have already found available Jaguar parts from the online store I use regularly and secure.
I called to Dutch office, then was connected to the French one ( the order was delivered to France) and asked for reimbursement. It took then a month to deal with it and reimburse me except all the shipping fees ( ingoing and outgoing), I had to do paperwork and make a follow up emails.
When I expressed my dissatisfaction in writing, they blamed it on me, and prior to that they contacted French department ( most useless in communication or lost in translation), and it was ll in vein.
Therefore, if considering order spare parts for Jaguar, I would never get the order from their website. There are couple of secure online platforms in France, which have most of the parts in stock, communicate efficiently in all languages, and if any problem
Arises easily transfer credit or note of credit to the customer with the shipping fees offered and complimentary services provided.

I had a nightmare communication experience with SNG Barratt, and found them totally irresponsible and lacking customer value and decent communication.

I placed an order for Jaguar XJS parts in June 2026. Only received half of the order. Apparently OUT OF Stock. Still waiting.
They say they need more money before they can dispatch the remaining parts.

On time easy to order

I did not like the cost of postage then you have cheek to put vat on top appalling 2 gaskets that weigh zero and rubber that could have gone in a envelope

Sales reps Max and Phil were most helpful in identifying and helping me order an obscure part for my classic Jaguar XJ6.

Message on dash - Low coolant level even though coolant was ok.
Had previously replaced the coolant level sensor which failed to stop the message.
Replaced the header tank which seems to have immediately cured the fault.

I always find SNG Barrett very good to do business with. Their communications and follow up is excellent.

Being of the older generation I prefer to order by phone . I found the staff member very helpful and knowledgeable. The parts ordered arrived the next day as promised. I couldn’t ask for a better service.

Nach dem ich jahrelang zufriedener Kunde war, bin ich auf Grund der neusten Erfahrungen sehr enttäuscht!

Mir wurde auf Empfehlung von Barrett eine elektronisch gesteuerte Benzinpumpe statt der originalen Kontakt gesteuerten geliefert. (E-Type V12)
Die gelieferte Pumpe war ohne Funktion.
Mir wurde sofort eine Ersatzlieferung angeboten.
Auch die als Ersatz gelieferte Pumpe war ohne Funktion.
Telefonische Auskunft: das aber wir öfters!
Daraufhin habe ich darauf bestanden, dass mir die originale Kontakt gesteuerte Pumpe geliefert wird.
Die hat dann funktioniert.
Die beiden zuerst gelieferten Pumpen habe ich als defekt mit entsprechender Beschreibung zurückgeschickt. Auf eigene Kosten! Da Barrett - auch bei defekter Ware - keine kostenlose Rücklieferung anbietet!
Der Vorgang ist auch nach 2 Monaten noch offen.
Nun erhalten ich die Mitteilung, dass ich „gebrauchte“
Pumpen zurückgeschickt hätte, die man nicht als Neuteil einlagern könne. (sehr witzig)
Die Pumpen wurden zum Hersteller eingeschickt:
wenn der die Reklamation anerkennt, bekomme ich eine Gutschrift - wenn der die Reklamation nicht anerkennt, bekomme ich die Pumpen zurückgeschickt.
Mal ganz abgesehen davon, dass man ein Rückgaberecht hat (auf das ich auch hingewiesen habe),
finde ich dieses Gebaren von Barrett - mit Verlaub - ausgesprochen dreist.
