One of the best paid online survey form
This is my second time using paid online survey for my research. I switch to Smart Survey as this platform provide more features at more affordable price including student price discount. I also love to use Smart Survey as the assistance given to me is very quick and helpful. Thanks to Martin who always reply to my online ticket.
Hopefully I can continue using this platform for my future research. Great work Smart Survey!

Good survey platform
Survey was easy for respondents to use with many question options available. For future improvement, it would be good to have a way to connect questions that follow another (e.g. “if you responded yes…). Data was able to be exported for analysis easily

We do have measure in place to event any spam surveys from being distributed.
If you have received a suspicious survey, please report it in or contact us and we can verify the validity of the survey. If it is spam, we can take the appropriate action on the account.

Not fit for purpose
Tried to complete an NHS form that uses smart survey. Couldn't even go past the first page without it coming up with an error even though all the info was completed correctly. Awful experience and extremely stressful as I need this for my treatment. Could never recommend

Thank you for your feedback. It appears the individual/company who created the survey using SmartSurvey software may have made an error in their design. This could be causing the survey to error.
As data processors, and not controllers, we are unable to access a customers account and make any amendments to their survey.
However, we can potentially contact the individual/company who created the survey and let them know you are having difficulties completing it. This will allow them to review the survey design and make amendments, additionally we would be able to help them with this if needed.
For us to contact them, if you contact us to let us know the survey you are attempting to respond to and we will contact the customer. Our contact details can be found at www.smartsurvey.co.uk.
Alternatively, if you know the contact details for the individual/company who requested you to complete a survey, you can contact them directly to let them know.

Is this a scam
Is this a scam? I responded to a survey that says it pays £30 and takes 30 minutes to give feedback about energy usage. I filled in some very basic info, and then it said, now sign up to make your own survey! It feels super scammy... Will I recieve £30? Or is this a sneaky way to get people to give their basic info up? I've looked on the website to contact someone and screenshot the advert. Before I completed it I checked on trustpilot... Something feels off.

When a SmartSurvey customer designs surveys, dependent on the plan they are on, they are unable to customise their 'Thank You' page to the respondents.
In this scenario, a standard SmartSurvey 'thank you' page appears, this would have happened to yourself.
We are the data processors and not the data controllers. SmartSurvey's customers who purchase plans to use our software to run their surveys/gather data insights create their own surveys/questionnaires, are the data controllers.
The survey you would have responded to would have been designed by someone using SmartSurvey's product.
You should receive a response to your survey submission from the company who contacted you requesting feedback about energy usage.
However, we do want to ensure our product is being used correctly and in accordance with our Terms of Use. We have strict checks in place to capture anyone operating outside of our Terms of Use, but we are always willing to check a survey if a respondent feels it may breach these terms.
Please feel free to send an email with the survey link to abuse@smartsurvey.co.uk asking us to check the legitimacy of the survey.
We will investigate this for you and respond to let you know the outcome.
Excellent Demo
My demo with Danielle Ford was excellent, I came away with a really good understanding of the product. She was very thorough and showed a good understanding of our business requirements by asking the right the questions and informing me of features that would be beneficial for our needs.

Waste of time
Wasted my time by starting a survey, only to find out that email notifications are paywalled. It looks so promising but I can't use it without any kind of notification.

Our pricing page details the features across each of our plans which allows customers to select the right plan type to suit their needs before signing up, and using SmartSurvey.

Good but not worth the money
there are very few features available for the free plan which is very disappointing giving other free platforms such as google forms which gives so many more features for free. So totally not worth it to pay 50£ a month just to use a single purpose survey. Yes there are free trials however it limits to 20 questions and that's ridiculous.

Thank you for your review, we’re sorry to hear our product did not meet your needs on this occasion. We do believe our Free Plan is one of the most competitive on the market but understand it may not fit everyone who wishes to use survey software
Our research has shown Google Forms for a one-off user that simply needs an online form to quickly ask their customers for feedback, such as during the hosting of a one-off event, a free personal Google forms account may provide an attractive option.
With a convenient drag and drop interface, it is quick and easy to create surveys, then analyse and share that data with any other google products you may be using.
However, more regular survey creators or individuals/businesses who have more advanced survey needs, might be better off signing up for a paid plan with SmartSurvey.
This is because there are major limitations in many areas including the range of question types on offer, the available data analysis tools, and support.
In respect of the 20 responses during the trial period, we do have a detailed FAQ’s section on our Pricing Page where we explain the reason for there being a limit on responses.
This is because the trial is designed allowing you access to all the features within that plan and see whether our survey software provides you with the solutions you need.
Once again, thank you for your review and feedback. We do take our customers reviews into consideration as we continue to iterate our product offering going forwards.

Thoroughly impressed with Smart Survey and Nathan
As an independent researcher (new venture), I was initially quite sceptical; after looking into a number of software options.
I used the basic plan which is free (for life as it’s advertised; hence my scepticism). However, after using Smart Survey for a month, I have been thoroughly impressed and it certainly added the essential value. The ease of use and metrics; even on the basic plan, are very impressive.
What impressed me most, was the support, with respect to timely and helpful responses. Then, I experienced a challenge related to the basic plan which requires an upgrade to resolve. The support person (Nathan), was helpful but delivered the message that indeed I needed to upgrade in order to resolve my issue, which is perfectly reasonable. What impacted on me the most, was that not only did he take the time to explain and suggest solutions, but he also put no pressure at all on me to upgrade. He then called back a few minutes later (under no obligation) and gave me a solution in order to avoid the issue in the future. Based on this, I plan to upgrade due to the service and product.
I can’t recommend Smart Survey highly enough. If my review seems too complimentary and you have doubts about the validly; you’re welcome to lol me up and see that I am not affiliated to SS in anyways and neither am I benefiting from submitting this for any reason other than to give credit where it is due.

Great service from SmartSurvey! We recently purchased a business license and are extremely happy with the product. We found the company representative very easy to work with and they couldn't have been more helpful and efficient in transferring our trial licenses over and making sure we had seamless use of our already created surveys.

Great service!
Worked with Sam from Smart Survey to get a survey 100 responses. A few of them were iffy but Same quickly came to the rescue and gave us a few extra responses so that the survey was accurate. The process was super easy, stress free and Sam did a great job supporting us and taking us through the process. Price is perfectly reasonable for this kind of job so really recommend this platform to get a survey done and dusted in less than 24 hours, with 100 responses (or more)!
Will definitely use this service again in the future.

Easy to use, excellent customer support

Be careful before you upgrade to a paid plan
We upgraded to the business plan because we were led to believe from the product literature that the software could support a particular question piping use case that we needed. Having paid for the upgrade, it became apparent that the functionality did not deliver quite what we were looking. We immediately cancelled and requested a refund, and got the following response:
"We wouldn't be able to issue a refund for the subscription as the upgrade cost covers access to the whole Business plan, which has been utilised since the upgrade date."
It is certainly true that we used the Business plan internally for a couple of days to assess the functionality, but it seems a bit mean-spirited to argue that this is us taking advantage of the business plan features. I would advise anyone to think very carefully before upgrading, as if the software does not deliver what you expected, you won't get a refund.

Creating a free 14-day trial of any of our plan types, we recommend the Enterprise plan as you can try every single feature for free no credit card required.
Booking a live demo – tell us your challenges and we’ll show you exactly how we can solve them.
Raise a support ticket - our support team are happy to answer any questions or ask support to change your free account to a paid plan trial, again you will be able to test free of charge for 14 days.
If you haven’t had enough time to evaluate a trial account we are happy to extend any trials, just get in touch with us.
If you are still unsure of the right plan type speak to our sales team, they will be happy to provide you with advice on the plan you need.
If we can’t solve your problem, we’ll tell you. Our priority is to set the correct expectations and ensure our customers are happy with our product and service.
We don’t ever want to come across as mean spirited, however we can’t issue a refund when we see concurrent usage of the software over a period of days post upgrade, we also offer numerous options and ways to get in touch to test our product completely free of charge.
We are genuinely sorry in this instance we have arrived at an outcome where you feel aggrieved, please accept our sincerest apologies and I hope you understand why we have had to stick to our policies over the refund in this instance.

Not a good product to analyse and visualise data
A visually unappealing interface, very limited analytics and visualisation functionality, as well as confusing navigation. I hope that the reason is that I'm using an older version but since this is the version used across UK government I don't believe so.
