Myself and family are regular visitors to Bulgaria, 25+ visits over last few years.

We have previously used many of the large national car hire companies based at Sofia airport, and although have never had a major reason to complain there is always something lacking from their service which eventually for us became an expected stress and inconvenience which often soured the start and end of our trip.......long queues at desk, hidden extra costs, attempts to upsell, cars not ready in arrival, wrong model, errors on the booking, wrong terminal for car, nobody to meet on car return, etc.

Last year I contacted Smartrentacar.bg following a recommendation.
I would now not use anyone else!

Fantastic company, competitively priced, great customer service and no nasty surprises at the end.
Met at Sofia arrivals, shown to car, completed the minimal paperwork and driving out in about ten minutes. Car was recent Dacia as I’d requested, plus it was an estate version so extra luggage space!
No mileage limits and no problems with getting charged for the odd scratch mean you can relax while exploring the Bulgarian countryside. Returning the car was just as easy and quick as collection, I will use no other company here now.

I would also like to recommend Sikon Group,we have used them for a couple of years now and never had any problems,Yasen and his staff are all very helpful,they do rent cars from Varna as well as Sofia,(i think Bourgas as well).
We even got a bottle of wine from Yasen in February!!!!
