Our 11-year-old daughter had been identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder featuring a Demand Avoidant profile, along with Sensory Hypersensitivity and Social Anxiety. She faced challenges in junior school, leaving us worried about her transition to a mainstream secondary school. In pursuit of an EHCP, we sought help from SL Therapy London after the local authority couldn't secure a Speech and Language therapist for the assessment. Sarah was fantastic, and after we explained our daughter's tendency to communicate through me or avoid speaking, she suggested an evaluation by Danielle. Danielle conducted a thorough and insightful assessment at the school. Despite being extremely shy, my daughter shared her positive experience with Danielle upon returning home. The detailed report demonstrated a solid understanding of my daughter's needs and difficulties. When I called with questions about unfamiliar aspects, Sarah patiently explained everything. I wholeheartedly recommend SL Therapy London for EHCP-related SALT assessments. It's a shame we're not closer, as regular therapy sessions would be ideal.

We had an assessment today carried out by Nina who was excellent with my daughter who is normally very anxious. Nina has a very calm kind nature and was able to put my daughter at ease immediately. She was very skilful in her role and carried out the assessment with such kindness and keeping my daughter at ease with much positive reinforcement. Requested parental views which was appreciated and we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an SLT assessment particularly for anxious children/ teens.

For various reasons, we were nervous about taking our child for speech therapy. However, after meeting Ellie and team, we felt relaxed, encouraged, and reassured about the whole process.

Ellie helped to accelerate our child's progress with speech, and get everything back on track again. She was fantastic, highly professional, and a pleasure to interact with. Our son still remembers her, which I think is down to both the excellent educational style and the large variety of toys!

We worked with Danielle at SL Therapy to assess and produce reports for the SEND tribunal for our twin boys. Danielle was amazing - extremely professional and experienced. Her reports were thorough and clear. She also attended our tribunal hearings as a witness. She was well prepared and concise, backing up her reports and recommendations under questioning from the tribunal panel with a real understanding of our children's needs.

She was struggling in junior school and we were very concerned about how she would cope in a mainstream secondary school. We decided we needed an ECHP and contacted SL Therapy London when the LA couldn't obtain a Speech and Language therapist for the needs assessment. Sarah was brilliant and after a chat where we described how my daughter avoided talking or talked via me, Sarah recommended an assessement by Danielle. Danielle did an excellent assessment of my child in school. Child is extremely shy but told me all about Danielle and what they did when she got home. The report was detailed and showed a good understanding of my daughter and her struggles. When I rang with queries about points I didn't understand (it's still all quite new to me), Sarah took the time to talk me through them. I have no hesitation in recommending SL TherapyLondon for EHCP SALT assessments. I just wish we lived closer so we could arrange regular therapy sessions.

It has been an amazing experience from start to finish working with Sarah. From the very beginning Sarah has been incredibly knowledgeable, genuine and reassuring. Her clear advice has made it a lot less stressful navigating the EHCP process. During the assessment Sarah was really thoughtful about how to set it up in the most relaxed way possible for my daughter to minimise her anxiety. Sarah’s report and her feedback to me has given both me, and my daughter’s school, a much clearer understanding of where my daughter’s strengths and needs are and how to support her. Very grateful to have had the pleasure of watching Nina work with my granddaughter. She is so positive and friendly in her approach, even offering the sessions at home when the child was unable to attend school. Nina flexibly and professionally adapts her sessions to meet the needs that present on the day thus ensuring that the child feels comfortable, and willing and eager to participate. We are hoping that Nina will be able to continue to work with the child and new school next academic year.

Sarah is very professional and wrote a report for my child’s EHCNA which was considered, detailed and which showcased her experience and knowledge.

Sarah is an extremely professional and competent Speech Therapist who was engaged and supportive from our first call. She visited at our home to complete an assessment with my son and liaised with his school. She kept me informed throughout the process and provided a comprehensive and very clear report of our son's needs.

I am sad we need to go to tribunal to access the right support for our child but confident in the evidence of his needs which Sarah provided.
