The only place I could find a shirt…
The only place I could find a shirt that had a 20 inch collar without being made for someone who had a 50 inch plus waist.

Phenomenal work they do here
Phenomenal work they do here, with an extremely welcome environment. It was my first time buying a suit and they made me feel extremely comfortable and even gave me a matching set of socks for free.

In store YES, online NO!
I have always bought my business suits from slater’s, but in store. Since moving I’m no longer close to a store and ordered online. What a complete reversal of an experience. Firstly, you can’t order trouser sizes. They’re just 6 inches less than the chest size of the jacket. As a 6ft4 broad shouldered slim man, this means 44 in chest brings trousers 4 inches too big. Secondly, the boxes that the items were delivered in, were then too big for their partner INpost to return in. So I then had to buy packaging materials to send back. Not that fussed about the cost, but the hassle just isn’t worth it. I bought 6 suits, all returned, bought from NEXT instead completely hassle free, and chose trouser size to fit. Real shame as in store, Slater’s service is the best by far.

Please accept our apologies that your online experience was not to our usual standards.
As standard, we buy all of our suits from the suppliers with a 6" difference between the chest/waist, this applies to suits sold online and in store.
We then offer the free alterations service in store, to ensure the perfect fit.
There are two free return options that can be used, DPD who have no size restrictions and InPost, which unfortunately does have restrictions on parcel size. Both of these are shown on our returns page.
As a gesture of goodwill, I have arranged for the original postage charge to be refunded back to you.

Wonderful jacket and great service
Order went through very fast and delivery prompt and within a one hour timeframe. Great Barbour jacket and well packaged for transport.
No complaints and would definitely buy here again.

John at Bolton store is a star
Went to Slaters today for a new suit. I met John at the front of the Bolton store he was perfect. Warm, welcoming, elegant, knowledgeable and got everything perfect with zero sales pressure. I got exactly what I needed.
Total time in store 30 minutes, 3 piece suit, shirt, cuff links and a belt, order complete.
Top man, highly recommended.
Also Slaters is the only place to go for suits at relastic prices.

Excellent suits and excellence customer service. I bought the suit online, and had to take it to th3 shop in Newcastle City centre for alteration. The staffs attended to me professionally and sorted it out in a timely manner

Very poor was in store to get my…
Very poor was in store to get my grandson a 3 piece suit for his school prom was in store for 20 minutes and not one member of staff came over to help us. Very poor service.

Shop assistant measured up wrong
My son was messed up in Slater‘s, even though I said it was too tight. The assistant said it wasn’t it would be altered to fit. We ordered the suit online, paying express delivery when it arrived and he took it into Slater‘s Manchester for Alterations they said the suit is too small. We ordered the next size up paying again for express delivery and the trousers came with a mark on it we are now running out of time for the wedding. A new suit is meant to arrive tomorrow. Fingers crossed this one is OK.
