We were told that our order would be delivered within four to seven working days. OK, it took eight, but we had a phone call on Day7 to say that it would be with us the following morning and it was. The delivery driver could not have been more helpful and the product is great. If I had read the negative reviews first I probably would not have ordered from Skirting Express so I am pleased that I missed them.

Decent enough product but service shocking. Arrived one week after the latest date provided when ordering.

For some reason Skirting Express won't post my 5* review on their site, tried twice, my review does not reflect badly on them just their delivery provider, but not wasting any more time with them.

My experience from 27th June 2020.

First of all, this is a bespoke product so don't expect it to arrive next day, I'm sure deals can be done for quicker turn around under special circumstances, more on that later, but expect a couple of weeks and you won't be disappointed.

I placed my order on 9th June 2020 and my delivery arrived on the 23rd

I live in a local authority property and you need to be able to return the property to the same standard as you first got it, so I didn’t want to replace the skirting but have something that could be easily removed, so skirting covers were the answer.

I also wanted oak, but no one seems to do oak skirting covers, so the best solution was to plate them with 150mm x 0.5mm Iron-On American White Oak Veneer from eBay, so I went for the unprimed option, which is the best substrate for the iron on veneer.

Just did a test run on a ½ meter gash piece and it looks great. Need to take a bit of time, first sticking to the face of the skirting, then going back over and doing the bullnose, ironing the radius as you go, and the top. Only issue is watching the grain, but perseverance wins the day. I then went over the edges to make sure all was sound. Will end up mitring this piece and use it on a short return.

All in all, I think this is a great product, the only thing to let it down was the delivery.

Tuffnells Parcels Express, I got an email to tell me the item was on its way, then out for delivery, brilliant, well so I thought. Stayed in all that day and a delivery van pulled up, “oh, that’s definitely not my skirting, not a one 1m2 x 50mm thin package”, watched as the delivery driver took it to my neighbour, then after a discussion, went back to the van and got a second package the exact same and delivered it next door, and left. “What happened to my delivery?”

About an hour later another delivery driver came, he had my skirting, yippee, and asked, “did you get another delivery earlier?”, “no, that was my neighbour”, “well, he had your stuff on his van as well and he’s just handed it off to me.”

Spoke to my neighbour the other day and she said when the first driver came with only one package, he said he had one for next door as well, she said, no, I ordered two. So, he knew he had an order for me, but just clearly couldn’t be bothered working it out.

Not great, but hey, it’s here now, that was until I opened it and found the long piece was broken at the end and there were chips on the other pieces.

Reported this to Skirting Express and give them their due, they rushed replacements through the system and I got them safe and sound today, brilliant.

I don’t know if Tuffnells use sub-contractors for their smaller deliveries because the first delivery guys were white van men, whereas today's delivery was a Tuffnells green liveried van.

Anyway, the point is, all’s well that ends well, the product is great, delivery, not so much.

Avoid them at all costs! Ordered about 60 m skirting board from them just before this COVID lockdown started. Payed £60 extra for express Saturday delivery, which hasn’t arrived, I was sitting in all day long waiting for it, also had a carpenter arranged to fit them. I couldn’t get hold of them to find out what happened, but eventually managed to speak to their courier who was adamant I wasn’t at home, which is just an obvious lie. I managed to rearrange delivery for the next Tuesday, but by this time still haven’t heard anything back from skirting express. Now the restrictions been eased we managed to fit them, only to find out apart from a few boards here and there nearly all of them are damaged! I called them, left voicemail, wrote emails and still just ignored me, save yourself the misery!

As per previous reviews, the production and delivery time is very slow. I made concessions based on the current COVID-19 pandemic, but even so things moved at a glacial pace.

The positive is that once I received the skirting (~100 m of bullnose) it was of excellent quality. The primed finish was very good, much thicker and uniformly covered than those previously purchased from major DIY stores. If you are not in a rush then Skirting Express(!) are worth a try.

Placed an order online with skirting express. Through my own fault I was pressed for time for it to be fitted before finding out estimated delivery time during difficult circumstances because of Covid-19. Once I emailed explaining my predicament they quickly helped me with very short notice! Great quality and brilliant service on this occasion! Will be needing more skirting in the near future and will be using these guys again

Ordered skirting fully finished in eggshell. Needed to ring after a few days difficult to get hold of, but did get through eventually, very helpful. Skirting arrived as promised. Very pleased with quality would use them again.

Do not buy, skirting in progress forever, no phones no reply to email. Scam good job I had credit card company as protection...

Please avoid this company at all costs. They are total con artists who will take your money, not fulfill the order within the delivery times as per their website. Then they'll completely ignore your requests for a refund
Never answer their emails or their phone. 100% cowboys

If ever a company picked the wrong name it's this one. 'Skirting Express' should in fact be renamed as 'Skirting at a flaming snail's pace'. It's been over a week since I ordered from them and they have just emailed me to say that it will be at least Tuesday before our item is delivered. This will be just shy of 2 weeks waiting for skirting board delivery. This has put our project back by 2 weeks, even longer as my husband is away from Monday and won't be able to do the job until Friday. We hadn't banked on having to buy this skirting board, but chose Skirting Express (I still can't believe they've got the cheek to use the word 'express' in their name) because we assumed we would have it in line with the amount we forked out for the delivery. They did what all bad customer service operatives do: A polite 'shrug of the shoulders' They're VERY sorry of course! But are they going to put the problem right? Nope. Because actually, they just don't care!
