I am really disappointed to be writing this review as I had high expectations and was really looking forward to training with Skin Philosophy. Sadly, there is a lack of communication between staff members and I felt I was pushed in different directions when I needed support, there was a lot of “email this person”, there’s so many different emails, telegram groups and little direction it becomes confusing and I ended up asking previous students for support. The course was sold to me as a 12 week course…I did my part by completing all assignments within 6 weeks and I constantly had to chase for marking, I’d be responded to weeks later saying they can’t open my assignment attached and then when responding the same day I’d not hear again for a week. In the end it took 6 months to pass. The online theory is extremely basic, you have to do a lot of online research to be able to answer the questions in assignments. Surely the course theory should cover all answers and we can expand our learning if we want to. I have to agree with the review below, the owner comes across very blunt/rude on message/email. I appreciate it’s stressful answering lots of student messages, but I believe you should take a bit more care with responses. However when I met her in person she wasn’t like this and you could clearly see she was passionate but very busy, it just isn’t professional. Practical training was poor. it was the most basic overview and then thrown in the deep end doing 6 back to back 1 hour long treatments with a 20min break…I felt like we were just doing freebies for her clients that wanted facials done, not training. It was bizarre. My practical training was in horsham, I did my exam in Clapham. During our theory exams there was staff members walking up and down the wooden stairs, constantly crashing about and just wasn’t the exam environment I’d expect. Overall, I wouldn’t train with them again and I also wouldn’t recommend if you want thorough training with support.

If you’re new in the industry, and are wanting to feel confident after L2 & L3 then think again about doing this course, if you’re just needing an accreditation/cert then go for it.

The online learning is of a very low standard and if you have an issue during your time with Skin Philosophy then good luck, the owner shouldn’t be teaching customer service as she has very little. They promised the world, but once they have your money that all changes.

Take a look at their old trust pilot account that is now called n/a as the reviews there ring more true than these. Surely it should be illegal to delete an account with honest reviews?

I would speak to VCTC/CIBTAC directly and go with their recommendations before you commit to joining Skin Philosophy.

Lovely company, and have lots of information that gives an in-depth idea of how to treat and give the customers the best they deserve.

Hey everyone! My name is Jane, I’ve done training for level 3 anatomy and level 4 hair removal with skin philosophy. And honestly I’m not disappointed as the Tutors was really helpful! They were explaining every step of the course. And after finishing I’m really confident with providing the treatments now :)

I've been studying with Skin Philosophy for my VTCT level 2 facials, L3 Facial Electrics and L4 Laser and Skin Rejuvenation. As an international student, I needed to gain world class regulated certification in Beauty therapy and Skin Philosophy Training was the best choice. Their level of dedication, prompt assistance and seriousness with which they teach is just amazing and am constantly inspired to come back for more courses! I feel the investment in my study with them has really been worth it.

I recently had the opportunity to attend skin philosophy, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff who made me feel right at home.

The teachers are some of the best I have ever had. They are knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about their subjects, and they go above and beyond to help their students succeed. I particularly appreciated the personalized attention I received, as the teachers took the time to get to know me and my strengths and weaknesses

I have just passed my Level 4 in peels, radio frequency and micro-needling and can honestly say this has been one of the best experiences for me. The staff are very knowledgeable, patient and thorough which makes you feel so much more at ease whilst taking the course. With 2 young boys i never thought i would have the time or patience to do a course like this but i was very wrong. The coursework can be done in your own time and training days booked when it suits you. Help is always at hand via an email if you get stuck or need some advice which is very reassuring and by the end of your course you feel like you have made a new little family as the atmosphere is very supportive and encouraging. I am so glad i chose Skin Philosophy to train with and encourage anyone else thinking of getting in to the aesthetics business to pick wisely and definitely look in to Skin Philosophy courses. Thank you so much to every single member of staff who offered kind words of encouragement, support and guidance throughout my journey, you are all AMAZING!!

I am currently still in the process of completing my Level 4 in MN RF CP. I'm really enjoying it and i am finding the training videos and reading material very informative. I had a support call today with Laura which i found really encouraging and helpful. The webinars are also a great idea and a way to gain more knowledge within the business to add to your training.

I came to a masterclass / talk at professional beauty and it was amazing! There was so much more information than I was expecting & has give me a real insight into more clinical facials & I would love to do some training with the company in the near future.

The team are so helpful and extremely thorough with the training which is very reassuring. I can’t recommend skin philosophy enough, I am enjoying every step.
