MISSING BOXES
When they arrived they were all set to try any change the price, I was ready for them, I call the manager right away. Even with me and my husband watching them somehow 3 boxes were lost. I was watching them moving everything out of the old apartment. My husband was at the other end watching them packing the boxes, he stepped away for 5 minutes to use to use the BATHROOM, so make sure you use the bathroom first and have more that 2 people.
Fraudulent Company!
This company showed up late, overcharged what was quoted and caused damage to our home when moving our items out. They did not store our items in temperature controlled units as contracted to do so and they refused to deliver our items without extra payment. We attempted to reach them by mail but the certified letter was returned because they are not at the address on their BOL or Invoice. They did not answer the phone, return our calls or our emails. They would not help us file a claim on the damages. They also damaged the majority of our items and many are missing. It was a horrible experience. They are a fraudulent company DO NOT USE!!

Thanks to Nathan and Owen who helped me moved yesterday. Great job guys💪😊, highly recommended. They are kind, helpful, and trustworthy. I even gave them the payment to a furniture to pick up and they did with no issues. They are so patient enough to dismantle and assemble my big table that didn't fit the door. They handled my things gently, all completely delivered. Sadly, I wasn't able to give my tip, but looking forward. Thank you very much, I definitely recommend SimplyMoving and especially Nathan and Owen. Thanks again, keep up and Godbless!
Please do not use this company
Please do not use this company, they broke my furniture and after a year sending forms and letters and complain to the Better Business Bureau, they refused to send me my money. The better business bureau cannot help you they will do nothing for you. The company will not respond to e-mails phone calls or nothing.
Be very careful with the contract, my contract stated amount was $1,973.55. and the same day of the moving they told me I need to pay another $2,000.00 more They do that because at the day of the moving the customer does not have time to change to another company.
They still the money of the Senior citizens. This company is not good it is garbage. Please go to another moving company. They just want your money they destroyed my furniture. They refused to pay..

Dishonest
Broke two items when packing into truck. Decided to take nearly 40mins longer to travel between locations when they were right behind us. When we called them they stated there was a broken down vehicle which was total BS. They thrn charged me for their break time. Wont use again, dishonest.
Will break your things and refuse to pay damages
Hired Simply Moving to pack and move the contents of my apartment on 8/31/2021. Movers "packed" empty boxes (full of only packing paper), plus other large boxes filled with single small items (i.e. a single disposable face mask). Simply Moving refuses to refund us for this or acknowledge their fraudulent actions.
Simply Moving damaged several pieces of furniture (including a custom built, solid wood dresser that will cost $1400 to replace; a $600 dining table; a $600 lamp; five one of a kind ceramic pieces of art each costing around $500 to replace; plus several plates and other smaller items). Total damages exceed $5100, plus the ~$1200 moving fees.
They packed things so poorly that one box was leaking. When I opened it I found a half full box of toiletries that were just thrown into the box - some of which had opened. At the bottom of the box were 3 pairs of prescription eyeglasses.
Don’t use... worse moving company!!
Worse moving company ... don't use them. Gave us a quote after I sent pictures & size of my unit they was to move out of... they went from $1700 to $4000 when they came to move me. Then they pretended their agent made a mistake with the estimate. They don't care & demanded the $4000 or told us to cancel so they could drive back. They never called me back after I told them what movers did!!! Worse experience ever !!!!

Underpriced my quote by thousands I believe they tried to beat the competition uhaul and two and a half men. They are so desperately thirsty. I told them exactly what I had in my home piece for piece the size and the length and they get here and they say they don’t have room even though every item listed was in the paperwork the took a 3rd of my stuff for 2,000 really small two bedroom apartment. Don’t do it unless your rich
Great service
Their customer service rep was patient, professional, clear, and organized. Their quote is at least $100 cheaper than others I called before them. The company has a very accommodating customer service policy. The day before the scheduled move someone sent me a text to remind me of my window of time. They arrived within that window, worked quickly and efficiently. I would not hesitate to recommend or use them in the future.

This was our second time using Simply Moving for our move in Manhattan. The Simply Moving team did an excellent job with our move. They were efficient, professional, very hard working and they made our difficult move a much more manageable experience. They did a great job packing and protecting our heavy and fragile furniture (we have quite a few pieces made out of glass and mirror materials - it’s a real challenge for movers!). Nothing got damaged or ruined. We were very happy with our experience and would definitely use Simply Moving again.

I was left holding the bag on a massively underpriced job
Simply Moving massively underestimated the cost of my move, to win the business over a fixed-price provider (Fixed Rate Moving, I think).
On the day of the move, it was clear that nearly 30 percent of my stuff wasn't going to get packed under our agreement, or even have room in the truck.
I now face several days of additional packing and moving on my own after the job was "finished" with these guys.
Their model - like a lot of movers - creates a financial incentive for them to "underestimate" the size of the job, leaving you in the position of paying large overage fees on the day (which, in my case, could have doubled the cost of the job) or leaving you with days of backbreaking labor after you've paid someone to move your stuff. Totally unethical!
I will never use Simply Moving again, obviously. Be very careful proceeding with these guys or any service that starts with an estimation where a "mistake" by the people providing the estimate will greatly reward the people proving the service.

From the first time we met with Carlos he put our minds at ease. On the day of the move the crew was efficient, courteous, and took great care with all of our possessions. pricing was very fair and they were very responsive to requests made prior. Would reccomend them to everyone!!! They made a very stressful day relatively stress free.

WARNING WARNING!!! If Icould give negative stars I would. This company goes by 3 different names. 5 Star moving, Simply movers and Abreu. I booked 5 Star and receive an invoice from Abreu. RED FLAG ONE.
RED FLAG 2 I booked on 9/25 for an 9/29 move. I was told the full day was opened, I chose 8-12pm window. 2 days later I received a voicemail changing it to 12-4pm. I called the office repeatedly to check the ETA of the drivers and nothing. I asked to speak with Mike the owner and nothing. After repeated attempts the company blocked my number. So i called from different line and the receptionist forgot to put me hold and screamed its Ms Fonseca what should I tell her. At this point I already put down a down payment my furniture is packed and i have to be out by the next day, so i waited. No one showed up until 7:10pm with only blankets and tape to protect the furniture. No supplies as promised and 2 drivers instead of 3.
RED FLAG 3 after truck was load in 45mins (I had all the furniture in the lobby except the bed and couch. The mover decided he was too tired and called another company Simply movers to finished the move. 1h30mins later two new movers show up to finish the move.
RED FLAG 4 we finally leave I follow the truck in my car, and he drives opposite the highway and takes the long way to the new place (later I find out it's to hike up the mileage) I tell them the exit put on my hazards to they can follow me and the driver passes my exit and keeps going. I panic and try to get back on the highway. Now I can't find them. After 30mins of waiting I call the police and file a report. They show up a total of 45mins later say sorry there was an accident.
RED FLAG 5 after everything is moved in and the wait time and the $150 fine I incurred for moving after hours. They tried to charge my credit card an additional $300. Thank I called the credit card company and put a freeze on my account. Cash only now. Finally I get to speak with Mike is called a liar and told me I was Bugging for not wanting to pay more than the agreed amount. His movers harnessed me in my apt for 20mins. They even threatened to call the police. I said yes call them and let's start the paperwork for a lawsuit. He changed his mind and pleaded stating he has 10 kids to feed. After paying the original agreed amount in Cash they left and told me they are keep the cash and suing me for the entire amount. Guess we will be in Court.
PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND STAY AWAY. if I am attacked after this post I have pictures of the movers and will upload. I was threaten by one of them and this documentation of the incident right after it happened.
Delivery Date dumped on us with no warning
We hired Simply Moving because of the excellent Yelp and Trustpilot reviews, and the actual packing of our items seemed to go rather well. However, there were some glitches --- although the email we got for the move indicated we were supposed to pay via cashier's check (which we did), their automated system ALSO charged our credit card in error. Though they quickly rectified the error, it gave me a sense of sloppiness on the part of the company.
They gave us an estimate of 1-21 days to complete the move. Fine, it's understandable that they wouldn't know exactly how long it might take. But, we had assumed, given their reputation for customer service, they would at least give us some indication as the delivery date got closer at least whether the truck was in the vicinity or not, and a range of dates we might expect the delivery to occur.
But no, today the driver calls, completely out of the blue, and says he wants to deliver our shipment TOMORROW. Yes, tomorrow. No advance warning whatsoever, Simply Moving didn't even tell us when the truck left the East Coast. My wife has a job interview tomorrow, AND I have meetings tomorrow at work. We explained this to the driver, but Simply's dispatcher just said, either we take delivery tomorrow or pay for 21 days of storage and fees for a crew to store and repack our items for delivery at a later date.
Other moving companies actually give you satellite tracking of their trucks --- we get ZERO warning the truck is even going to come this week, and get a call literally the day before, when we have busy lives and a busy schedule.
Update:
The General Manager contacted me to apologize again and to let us know they took my complaint seriously and spoke with the dispatcher. Based on our conversation I feel they have made an effort to avoid this sort of problem again in the future --- so I've updated my review to three stars, and would no longer say I wouldn't recommend them to others. They did do a good job moving our stuff across the country --- the problem was primarily in our case with what I felt was poor customer service around the delivery scheduling. However, I trust that they have heard this complaint loud and clear and hopefully in the future other customers won't experience this --- and other customers have clearly had better experiences with them, despite the fact that we had this problem. I feel they are going to make a good faith effort to avoid this kind of problem in future.
Move is fine. Referral program is fake
Initially had a good move with simply moving. Decides to refer my friends through the referral program where they say they give you a percentage of each referrals move.
2 of my friends moved w the company and I heard nothing from them. I called, sent emails, and no emails back. Its not right to have a dishonest referral program advertised if you don't have a system to follow up with it.
