VPN does not work. I spoke with support, sent them proof of it not working, and they just said "no refunds".
Do NOT use this VPN, especially if you're going to China, it is a waste of your money and time, it will not work.
Simplelink has been a lifesaver really... for both streaming and staying connected while I’m traveling. It keeps me connected abroad with no extra setup and works seamlessly in China tbh. And the customer support is quick and helpful. Plus, it allows unlimited devices connected under the same Wi-Fi, it was able to use like 5 devices at the same time altogether with my girlfriend.
I’ve been using simplelink for a while, and it works perfectly with Netflix and YouTube. No buffering, just smooth streaming, making it a reliable choice for users in China.
This service DOES NOT WORK FOR CHINA.
It does not disguise your traffic and you cannot access all services and websites. Your google search results will be redirected to Google HK ad be displayed in Chinese. Any streaming services that limit location access will be UNUSABLE. Customer service replied that "technically it works", despite 'attempts' to troubleshoot and then replied, "SORRY, WE DON"T DO REFUNDS." I asked them to show me the documentation that I agreed to and they provided me with NOTHING. They said they need to remotely access my computer in order to prove that it doesn't work even though i provided them with multiple screenshots and their own tests duplicated my results. BTW I have previous experience as an IT professional. While I was in their customer service chat box, I was typing a question and before I sent the message, they replied to my question. The trustworthiness of their website itself is also questionable. After I asked for documentation, i attempted to log in to my account on their website and the website was down, which makes me believe there was an alteration made.
Simple link is one of the best VPNs I’ve used and it’s fast and easy to use. Internet disruption is unavoidable due to the regulations in CN but the Simple link team always manages to solve the issues immediately and effectively. Definitely recommend!

Plans are not really well explained in their website. Conection tends to be unestable and the app logs you out whenever it wants.
Finding a good VPN that works in China is not easy. Many vendors have given up given the cat and mouse game between the Chinese authorities who are trying to squash VPN vendors by blocking servers and the vendors who are trying to outsmart the ever more stringent blocks. SimpleLink describes itself as being able to circumvent the restrictions imposed by the great firewall (GFW) and offers different packages priced very reasonably. I tried their free offer which is limited to 2 GBytes of data and 1 day both on an Android device and Windows PC. SimpleLink offers variety of platforms including an installation on a router (which I have not tried). In my testing, I connected to their Hong Kong and Korea servers. The connection was established quickly from either device. The speed was greater than 50 Mbps which was excellent. They claim to use special leased lines (China route I suppose) which is a must for good speed and low latency. So far so good. Now to the negatives. The data on their packages is limited which is understandable if they use leased lines. However, I experienced different strange phenomena. First, on the Android device I was unable to run the Ookla speed test app. It would not find the server. The ping time to Cloudflare and Google's DNS servers was shown as less than 1 ms which is simply unrealistic. On the PC, when connected to their Hong Kong server I was shown a ping time of more than 270 ms to a LeaseWeb server in Hong Kong which is strange given that the ping time to their HK server was only around 40 ms. On the PC I would also be unable to load some web pages, it would just hang. I do not know if they use standard SSL ports (443) which I think they don't. Other ports, especially when used in UDP mode often get blocked by the GFW. Also, if they use a continuous connection, the connection may get blocked by the traffic analysis tool of the GFW which can detect unknown VPN protocols. There is not enough data in the trial to be able to do more extensive testing. I feel that this service is potentially an excellent solution for users based in China though I feel that it is not robust enough yet. Also, a lot of features in their app lack proper documentation (such as the different modes and routes).
