SilverBird is a Dunedin-based silver and gold bullion dealer serving collectors, stackers, and first-time buyers across New Zealand. We buy and sell — and we ship nationwide.

SilverBird started in 2021 as a group of mates pooling cash for a bulk coin buy on a South Island road trip. COVID-era money printing had us thinking hard about real assets, and the moment we held the coins, we were hooked. Some of us went deep on the collector side — tracking mintages, completing sets. Others got serious about stacking weight at the right price. Most ended up doing both. By 2023 we pooled our resources and made it official.
When you call, you'll talk to Harry or Nathan — Dunedin-based, stackers themselves, and happy to walk a first-timer through their first ounce or talk shop with a collector chasing a complete series. Every piece is verified to be 100% authentic metal before it goes out the door, and we treat a first $80 silver bar with the same seriousness as a $10,000 gold order.

I'm a repeat customer of SilverBird due to a number of factors. As a pensioner I do not always have enough money on hand to make a purchase. SilverBird recognize that many potential clients face that same problem and so they have introduced a payment system that allows time payment with immediate product delivery. Plus, great products and service. Personally I appreciate being able to interact socially albeit online in Groups with Nathan and Harry. I don't think they have jobs, more a passion. They, and SilverBird are great.

Really fast postage and packaged securely...nice 2oz silver coin and some extra chocolate...very gd customer service and highly recommend Silverbird when purchasing metals....prices are fair and you have the added bonus of afterpay as well...overall experience is 9.5/10...only thing I could say is maybe a tracked postage option but otherwise perfect service..!!
