Wow! It seems everybody has the same issue concerning NOT being able to speak to a customer service representative only voice prompts. I have me card for years never had to call for anything, so I had no idea how bad the service is. My account is reflecting I have over 100,000 thousand points that it seems I cant use! What kind of scam is this and why isnt anybody looking into this matter?!!!

I've been trying to redeem points for 6 months, impossible..I've used this card for years usually 20,000 per year..I haven't used card since early December..all my points expired..not fair

I had a fraudulent charge on my account on 12/18/23. Reported immediately and the card was cancelled. I kept getting e-mails about overdue payments. Called on 3/18 and was told the charge was resolved on 2/29 but may take up to 2 months to remove from my account. Called again on 5/14 and was told another 7-10 days. Fraud dept does not communicate with the payment dept so I keep getting calls, texts, and e-mails about payment. My credit score has plummeted 80 points. So, here it is 5/28/24 and charge has NOT been removed. They sent me a new card, but I am not activating it. Do notrecommend this card

I called customer service this morning to find out my interest rate on purchases. I was told 30.49. I repeated it to make sure I heard right and again was told 30.49. I said I have an 850 credit rating and this is my interest rate ? I see all the bad reviews and only 1 good review from Matt who gave them 5 stars. I wonder why? I will be cutting this card out of my life, this is some crap.

Terrible. I received a threatening email after being a few days late on a payment. I didn’t even realize my payment wasn't automatic. When I saw the payment wasn’t done I immediately paid it fully off and I’m ripping up this card.

The wording was “in order to avoid an inconvenient situation you need to call us.” Their marketing team needs better tips on customer service facing.

Think these reviews are not accurate??? Go the the Site and look at the AVAILABLE POINTS, now click on the MOST ASKED QUESTIONS pdf. And you get a BLANK PAGE. Try to call any rep. and you get a BLANK MIND, that is if anyone answers the phone after TWO HOURS of waiting. These people are scamming and they know it.

I try & tryed.. Then I called support..
waited 30 minutes the 15 then 5..
A rep got on.. Really bad english & beside that the backgtound noise was un read.. dog barking, people yelling..
She said can you speak louder... I said can you speak better english !! Can I speak to someone who speaks english, She said yes, you will have to wait 30 minutes !!
The wait, the bad english, background noise ect ect... I wasnt going to wait another 30 minutes.
The reason I needed to get to my account, My e mail said I had a letter wait for me,,
It was a total bad time with her...
send me a hard copy of the letter from your company please,,
And work people who can speak english, and have respect for a long time customer.

I was scammed by this company! I obtained a balance transfer 0% interest promotion for 9 months. All of my monthly payments were applied to my promotion and not my monthly charges!

I absolutely love the Shop Your Way Mastercard and the ability to redeem points on the Shop Your Way website or app. Points can be redeemed for various types of gift cards, including a Visa eReward gift card where spending 5000 points gets a $5 prepaid Visa gift card.

The Shop Your Way Mastercard rewards 5% in points for purchases at gas stations, 3% at grocery stores and restaurants, 2% at Shop Your Way merchants, and 1% elsewhere. There are additional ways to earn points, including Missions on the app where I see 3000 points (=$3) for grocery shopping each month. Sometimes there are special mail offers offering statement credits on the SYW Mastercard for spending a specified amount within a month in specified categories, but not everyone gets these mail offers. Today, I received an opt-in offer to "Earn a $60 statement credit each month when you use your Shop Your Way Mastercard to make 6 eligible purchases each month of $50 or more each" valid from 9/1/2023 - 11/30/2023.

This reward program and even the way you earn points through using the related credit card is as close to a scam as you can get. The emailed promotions for earning percentages is very misleading and you need to read all the fine print. When you finally go to redeem your points on the website, it's a complicated web of unclear directions whereby you need to link various other business accounts (such as linking your Amazon account) if you wish to redeem the points with that company. Otherwise, you get steered in a very unclear fashion to having to download two other apps, the ShopYourWay app or the Max-something app and then finally you might be able to redeem your points. Or worse, you need to sign up for a another 3rd party (or is it 4th party by this time) called Raise. What a nightmare. I have a masters degree and I found the entire process difficult, unclear, and misleading. I got the feeling they were just hoping I would click on links and things I didn't need and provide yet more information about myself and my other related accounts.

The WORST credit card you can get, FEW benefits, horrible interest rate, no loyalty, STAY FAR AWAY! MANY other credit cards that offer much more than this one does with more benefits!

If I could give him a zero I would. We had a dispute with a company that refunded the card and they still put that money back on the bill they are thieves and I would not use this card at all. I've never seen a card that blatantly steals from her person like this card does. Beware

Shop your way points is a complete and total scam. They don’t calculate things correctly. They make you have a cell phone that is on their system. Even if it’s not your cell phone, it doesn’t work so they discriminate you against you if you don’t have the proper cell phone number that they want. I have been able to redeem zero points from them. And I have spent tens of thousands of dollars. I’ve got no rewards from them. Don’t walk away from this deal run away from it.

This started in October of 2022. There was a charge on my account which I did not make nor authorize.
It was clear I did not make given there was a foreign transaction fee attached. I live in NC and the company was located in Delaware, so how on earth could I have possibly purchased the service since it was made overseas? There have been several calls made to Shop Your Way and 3 letters I have received saying I am responsible for the charges. The first letter said I claimed I had never opened credit card.
which was false, 2nd said merely my claim was denied as did the 3rd - which said I was responsible for charges. (Which I have already paid by the way.) And they are refusing to give my money back.

Stopped using legitimate cc's that actually pay the rewards they offer, because SYW emailed me an "offer I couldn't refuse", that being 10% back on $350 worth of purchases (in one month) at grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants. I've now spent over $500 in said stores, but they claim I've only made $31 in eligible purchases. PLUS, they now claim I have to spend $600 in one month! This is not what I signed up for. Also, their website is horrible, doesn't post purchases until days later, and doesn't show what % reward you received on each purchase (as all my other cards do). I was told today from "customer service", which is a joke in and of itself, that it could take up to 2 to 3 months for the rewards to show up, "once they determine that my account is eligible". Are you kidding me? I have one billing cycle in which to meet their ridiculous spending requirements, yet they can wait 2 to 3 months to "decide" if I'm "eligible" to receive my rewards!? I told them today I will never use this card again, and that's a fact! I advise you to cut yours up if you have one. And Citi should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this, or having their name on this card. Unbelievable. Oh, and like every other negative review, you find out your rewards can only be used at Kmart, Sears (neither of which even exist anymore, really) OR redeem for gift cards. Spent over $500, all in eligible stores, and currently have exactly $12 in rewards. Um, I'm no mathematician, but I believe 10% of $500 is $50! When I challenged this, that's when I was told to wait at least 2 months for them to "verify" that my purchases were eligible. Yet my current $12 in rewards expires March 31. So now they also want to chop up my rewards into tiny dispersements that expire rapidly. Next thing I'll probably find out is that the lowest gift card amount you can purchase is $25, so I'll never get even one gift card after all this hassle. I am furious. Bait and switch, liars, dishonest, scammers. Never again. CUT UP YOUR CARD!!!! ps. of course I've also missed out on my usual 5% rewards that I would NORMALLY be getting from the cards I've always used, because of SYW luring me over with fraudulent offers. Can you tell I'm angry?

Each time I try to make a payment through the automated system, the recording states that my card is invalid. When I asked for customer service, two of the three people I spoke with were rude and lack any customer service skills.

The SYW points program is a complete scam, as others here have expressed. No issues with the card itself but trying to redeem points OR get an adequate answer about it from SYW support is impossible. Plus, it’s a major waste of time trying to resolve it - obviously by design so customers just give up.

DO NOT USE. It's a complete joke and waste of time. They will say your account isn't verified and then when you try to redeem your point's the web site will show as an error. Call customer service and they act like this is the first time they are ever hearing this followed by putting you on hold and never returning to the call. How is this business allowed to operate like this?
