Another amazing Spectator Wine Club event!
Very much enjoyed by me and my guest.

This was a super day on the river, on a fantastic boat, great crew, entertainment, food and wines. The shooting experience and wine producers and experts made a memorable day out. The only negative was joining, meet and greet, where I feel many of us had been left uncertain as to where to go and whether we had arrived at the right place.

The Clays, Cognac and Claret Cruise down the Thames, can't be beat either for pure enjoyment or the uniqueness of the setting. Add first class wines and an excellent meal and company - and one could not ask for more.

In a wine experience that was new to us The Spectator rank all the right bells with an excellent speaker and a congenial audience. We'll be joining them again.

Looking at the positive reviews I see most involve party events.. the negative reviews are similar to my experience.
I cancelled my free trial on 8th August... on 15th August - seven days later - the next month's payment was taken. I phoned customer services and was promised a refund (this was also promised in the email I received on 8th August confirming my cancellation).
Three weeks later I have still not received my refund.
This is completely unacceptable and I have raised a formal complaint... albeit via the standard 'contact us' function as there is no option to raise a complaint, which speaks volumes.

It was a wonderful lunch and the quality of the wines being served were outstanding. It was also a real pleasure to listen to Jonathan Maltus talk about his life, career in wine and the wines he and his team had produced.

Speccie Wine Club lunches are always great fun. Good wines, interesting company and a great setting. This, as ever, met the mark with excellent hosting for Jonny Ray and interesting words and wines from Jonathan Maltus

A cracking location, a friendly and sociable group of people, very well hosted by Jonathan Ray and an interesting and informative guide through the wines by Jonathan Maltus. His wines were excellent. The afternoon was rounded off by diving into a pub around the corner after the event had finished. Not a bad afternoon at all.

A great summer afternoon spent with good company in a pleasant garden. An opportunity to speak and chat with good quality writers, cartoonists and fellow readers of the Spectator in a very relaxed environment.

The Spectator tea party was an excellent event. The opportunity to meet not only the journalists, but also the marketing and digital media staff was extremely valuable. The supply of drinks and the entertaining failed rounded off a superb afternoon.

Fab night.

First one ever. I now realise its worth arriving a bit earlier as the starter wines are served and there's good chat!!

Excellent company. Very generous hospitality. Delightful and friendly journalists and a superb setting in the garden. A perfect afternoon.

The Spectator may not be the best brand and best magazine in the world - but it's in the top one.

A lovely venue,a chance to have interesting chats with Spectator journalists and subscribers and good gin!

Beware of this company.
Cancelled months and months ago. They just keep making fraudulent charges against my card. Every month I lodge a dispute with my bank, the charge gets reversed and the following month they charge my card again. Avoid at all costs.

Awful
Got trial then cancelled it. Found out the cancellation hadn't gone through when they took money immediately queried told they would get back promptly and haven't heard anything.

Classic Pol Roger experience excellent!!!

A learning experience along with quaffing jolly good Pol Roger!
