I purchased a Windows 11 Professional upgrade key from PC World and received a product that could not be activated. Microsoft rejected the key with error 0xC004C008, which means the key had already been used on another device. When I contacted support, they sent me a second key — but it was a Windows 11 Home key, not a Professional key. Windows immediately identified it as the wrong edition.

Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, PC World did not provide a valid, unused Windows 11 Pro upgrade key and repeatedly gave incorrect information about the keys they issued. This was a misrepresented product and a very poor support experience. I cannot recommend purchasing software licenses from this company. Finally ended up getting my money back thru a charge back.

This company is a Scam!!! I bought and returned a Microsoft Surface laptop. It did NOT work I returned it on February 22, 2026 and the seller received the return on February 26, 2026 via FedEx. The man emailed me stating he didn’t receive the item and will NOT refund me. FedEx took a picture of the return sitting on his table by the door with another package. I sent him the picture and receipt with tracking and item number. He has yet to contact me.

Purchased lifetime license for Quickbooks desktop. When I needed tech support from Intuit, Intuit said the license was assigned to another company. Unhappy. Purchased in June, now December. Way past any return dates.

Utterly rude, delusional, and gaslighting customer service.

Chris W apparently runs the whole store and runs it like a basement incel. He's so smart that he's a customer service rep for an online software retailer owned by a magazine. Congratulations, Chris!

This company is a scam. I purchased a 2021 Microsoft Office license and when I went to activate it, someone else had used my license code. They could not honor my purchase. Do not purchase from them.

Plain talking when it came to my repair. They took a while is my one issue, but on the whole iit was good. Service was good overall so am saying so

Tried to order a product online and had some issues. spoke to several customer service agents through video chat and on the phone. All 3 told me different stories, anything from technical glitch to this product cant be ordered online! even though they have a product listing, price and stock showing online!

They are deceptive with product reviews and if you fall for this and purchase from, you'll then be directed to another party that has a completely separate return/refund policy. This seems to be a thing now, to where you can say "money back guarantee" and not be libel because you're directed to another entity that in turn fronts for another. What a sleezy way to do business.

I purchased an expensive Grundig fridge freezer from PCW/Currys in Doncaster and after plugging it in it was soon evident that we had a major problem. Both compartments on this device work as freezers no matter how we change the settings. We eventually managed to get an engineer out to investigate the problem but he provided us with such pearls of wisdom as “heat the door seal with a hair drier and reshape it that should fix it”. Where do these companies manage to find such totally incompetent specimens to call engineers? So I am sat here with the most expensive piece of kitchen junk I have ever owned an PCW/GRUNDIG are laughing all the way to the bank!

Купил у них пожизненную лицензию на Zoolz. Через 2 года Zoolz мой аккаунт закрыли. Претензии к PCWorld больше в том, что продают всякий скам. Да и к тому подтверждение о покупки Zoolz внезапно исчезло из списка моих покупок после закрытия моего аккаунта. Позор

Worst possible experience. Paid money but product could not be activated even after 3 weeks (still counting). The support from PCWorld Shop does not exist. Support from Polarbackup is prompt but can't help. Now, the option left is to take action on PCWorld Shop and get my money back. Good luck for all the people who are lured by the heavy Facebook campaign run by PCWorld Shop

Beware, this site seems to act as a sales agent for some poor quality vendors. If you complain and ask for a refund, they then hide behind a "all sales are final" policy and refuse. If they do this, report them to your credit card provider who are jointly liable.
