Watch was delivered quickly and presented beautifully in a gorgeous box. The watch itself is awesome and feels like it should be much more expensive!

Shipping from the United Kingdom to the United States was expedient and the watch was securely packaged. It was also needed before Christmas as gift and the watch arrived timely.

My green Sherwood "Commander" watch was delivered today.

Wow...This watch has a very unique and beautiful appearance.

The dial has a dramatic sunburst that goes from a deeper forest green to a brighter green that I would say matches the colour on the underside of an oak leaf in spring. It’s almost like rays of sunlight beaming through a forest canopy. Beautiful.

Also I noted and love the large and very luminous indices, including the shield at 12 o'clock - for me the lume is on par with the brightest I have personally seen. I can see the lume glowing under normal indoor lighting.

The movement is smooth and silent and I love the seconds hand which looks like an arrow.

The surface finishing are without fault – really good.
Screws on the bracelet allowed me to quickly size to my wrist and the three micro-adjusts on the buckle made the fit 100%. The bezel diameter looks to be 40mm and sits comfortably proud on my 7inch wrist.

The box that the watch comes with is well put together.

Summing up, this is a very striking themed watch and I am very happy with the purchase.

I have followed the launch of Sherwood Watches closely over the last year, trying to convince myself to take the plunge numerous times, but only managing to send a token sum in support of the kickstarter.

Be it the personal links to Nottinghamshire, the obvious nod to a certain archer or the fact it is designed by a salt of the earth local enthusiast, the whole packaged really appealed to me.

Finally, to mark a promotion, I had good enough reason to bite the bullet.. and I’m glad I did.

I have given the watch a month of wear before reviewing, but my opinion has changed very little since the moment I opened the box.

The packaging was a pleasant but welcome surprise, giving it the air of luxury I had yet to experience in my short time collecting watches.

The proportions of the dial coupled with that lovely green sunburst really catch the eye, but are subtle enough to be considered understated.

The finish appears top notch to my eyes, and the lume holds up very nicely. It has a decent heft without being heavy and a very good power reserve. The bezel seems a little tighter than most, but I have learnt to work with it just fine. I find the watch easy to read and think the branding works fine for the dimensions to my own taste. I love the Major Oak on the case back, and have gotten many a question about the watch since wearing it.

Overall, I love this watch. It has marked a personal milestone and will stay in my collection indefinitely. Well done Glynn

Very pleased with the Sherwood Commanders excellent design, quality, performance and value. Communications throughout the project have been top notch and I eagerly await seeing Glynns next timepiece creation.

It is a stunning work of art. The time and attention to detail is more than I expected.

I received my Sherwood Commander watch a couple weeks ago and it blew my mind with how well the finishing is. The bracelet is super comfortable and also really great looking. The dial is clean and very attractive. I love the arrowhead at the 12 o'clock position, and all the details with the arrow seconds hand, it's so cool. The watch is also keeping accurate time. This watch exceeded my expectations. I can't believe how well finished it is, honestly. Also their customer service and communication has been excellent.

Stylish, functional and suits every day wear. Couldn’t be more pleased with the watch and the experience since it arrived.

Obtained this watch through a Crowd Funding Campaign. As I live in the locality of Sherwood Forest, and with Glynn developing the brand from their also, it made sense for me to purchase.
Great Communication from Glynn throughout the process and personal service in his delivery. I waited a couple of days before I performed a Video Opening...(which I sent to a friend and he was also amazed).

So delivery box was excellent, instructions and documents were first class. Onto the watch.
As other more Watch enthusiasts have said, the overall quality, look, feel, design elements, balance and general feeling when wearing it, are first class. Credit to Glynn for ensuring all of the design elements were included.

Do I wear it? No.....It's still in its original packaging. I am waiting for a special occasion to do that.

And of course, being from Sherwood, I opted for the Green Model. Which i have say is very reminiscent of a certain ***** brand model, but not specifically in your face.

Recommendation? Buy one, buy two.......I am keen to see Glynn's next creations.

This was the smoothest Kickstarter I've experienced. Lots of updates from the founder, watch delivered on time, and a really nice watch at that!

Amazing product and service. Super friendly and always there to help. The Commander watch is a thing of beauty and I will certainly buying more Sherwood products when they land.

Iv been wearing my Sherwood black dial commander watch for about 2 weeks now. I love this watch, it's not to heavy or Bulky on the wrist. Looks and feels like a watch of the bigger brands out there. I've contemplated about getting the green dial now. Whichever one you pick, you can't go wrong..

I have a collection of about 36-ish watches and honestly, this Sherwood Commander is the one that ticks the most boxes for me. I have the blue dial.

I know that Glynn is a watch collector and as a graphic designer, I've enjoyed seeing his visual "improvements" on some of the big-brand well-known watches. Still, I'm very pleasantly surprised at how well the Commander turned out for a first watch from Sherwood Watches.

It has the best lume of all my watches, better than the Exciton II, Helm Miyako and Khuraburi.

Best legibility, certainly as legible as a Seiko SKX007.

I love all the branding details. Arrowhead at 12 and on the crown and a full arrow as the second-hand. It has a nice long second-hand that truly sweeps beautifully because of the hi-beat movement. Myota 9039 movement, so no ghost-position.

Aesthetically, I love the super-narrow simplified bezel, which makes the dial look big, even though the watch case is only 40mm.

Beautifully made watch that catches the eye of both watch enthousiasts and casual observers. Slim bezel makes for a very "open" and legible design, making sure the beautiful dial shines.

Backed this project on Kickstarter. Communications was fantastic all the way through. I got the Commander in blue and it is a great watch. Really stylish and I like that it is both a diver and can be worn as a dress watch. The watch is keeping great time (+1 second a day). Also great bezel action. Would be interested in any new porjects from Sherwood
