Before I joined shecodes..I had an idea of coding however I would not be able to finish a page without googling or checking through some sites however, I now fully understand most elements and can code off head that to in just minutes unlike before where I would take hours trying to perfect a page. Thanks Matt for making coding more fun and simpler! yay🥰

Joining SheCodes has been one of the most empowering experiences in my coding journey. Before I started, I had no knowledge of programming, and everything felt overwhelming. But the lessons were broken down into simple and easy-to-follow steps that made learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript feel achievable and even fun.

Coding is really fun! I loved the basic workshop. Although sometimes it took me a while to understand and practice, watching the lessons and doing the homework was always a great and interesting challenge.

I have enjoyed learning on this platform as the videos are easy to follow and the challenges and homework require you to apply what you have learned. The challenges can indeed be challenging as there are sometimes pieces that need to be done that were not described in the examples. Because of this, it can be frustrating at times to complete the challenges independently as you have to rely on a search engine to try to find answers for how to code what is being asked and unfortunately some of the “answers” you find are not beginner friendly. Luckily, there is no pressure to have the challenge be completed 100% so you can review the solution then go back to re-work your solution. The team is responsive when issues arise which has helped me in a few occasions so it’s nice to know that there are actual humans to assist and not just an AI tool that is not reliable. I’m looking forward to completing my bootcamp and hopefully getting my foot in the door afterwards as I start a new career path.

Before joining SheCodes, I always believed coding was something only people who were strong in math could do. That idea held me back for a long time. SheCodes completely changed that for me. The way the lessons are structured made coding feel approachable, practical, and even enjoyable. I realized it’s more about logic, creativity, and consistency than complicated math. Through this program, I’ve gained confidence in my ability to learn and build, and I’m excited about the journey ahead.

I used to be curious about how websites work, but I never imagined that I would one day be able to create my own landing page. Coding used to feel intimidating to me, but SheCodes helped me see the world in a completely different way. Thank you, Matt, for this opportunity!

It makes coding much easier

I came to SheCodes with the knowledge I had learned from playing around with MySpace and Tumblr templates and got to understand the fundamentals of all three languages, as I learned basic Java Script!, got an update to my pre-existing learning, learned new elements, and more than anything an appreciation for my favorite websites.

I appreciated how each lesson was built on the previous one and that helped me to retain the information in a consistent format that was easy to understand and fun to follow.

It its great the instructor explains well it is easy to understand and the activities are interesting and fun to do

The journey so far was a waaoohh moment, realizing the simple way of learning and understanding why things are done especially in javascript. I love how the tutor explained in a simple way and every homework gave me confidence to keep going!

This course has made me willing to re-take my interest in coding again. Self-pace suits me very well as a 45+ yo single mom with 2 daughters and having highly demanding job at the same time. Matt always explains the lesson in a way that's easy for me to understand.

At 51, I finally decided it was time to build the future I actually want. I've spent years working in the restaurant industry, and while it's taught me so much, I'm ready to move on — and SheCodes is helping me make that happen. This is the first time in my life that I am truly enjoying what I'm learning. After long shifts on my feet, I come home and actually look forward to opening my laptop. The lessons are clear, the community is incredibly supportive, and I have never once felt like I was too old or too late to start something new. I can already see a bright future ahead — one where I build things with code instead of carrying plates. If you're dreaming of a change, SheCodes is the place to start. It's never too late!

What a ride! I started with zero knowledge of coding and am now capable of creating a landing page from scratch! 🤩 I still have a lot to learn of course but I feel like this course has given me a strong foundation to build on. I found the learning units well designed and the exercises very helpful to cement the new inputs given. Also I had a lot of fun playing with CSS, it was perfect for expressing my creativity! 👩‍🎨 I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to try coding!

I fear, I will be one of few people who must leave a bad however honest review based on real experience.
She Codes looked great from the outside. I wanted to learn coding for my career in order to understand the developers better and I'm personally interested in it. Then I found SheCodes and saw all these amazing reviews on basically every platform. So, I participated in the free 1 hour meeting with Matt where he explains a few things about the world of programming and presents the available workshops. After some consideration, I decided to take the basic workshop. We were offered a 15% discount after the meeting which I used. I paid about 170,00 euros. I could "buy" the workshop with my outlook email address and was to start one week after purchase. When the time came, I could not log in. I hadn't received any information on the workshop, only emails on which workshop I would like to do. The money had already been transferred... I contacted Matt and ultimately the SheCodes team. After now 10 emails, I have given up. It was fairly ridiculous. Until the end, they told me that they had send an activation email to my outlook address but nothing ever came. However, I had received other automatic emails from their system and obviously the corespondence emails. They told me I had to provide a gmail address so I would maybe be able to sign up. I don't have one and I'm willing to make a gmail account or any other new email address for some company... Anyway, I got quite mad when they kept playing it down like and acting like the only solution would be a new email address:
"Hey Virginia,
Could you check your spam folder, please? <3
 If there isn't anything there, could you send me another email address that I can use as a contact to send the activation email. 
Let's keep in touch? :)"

I got very similar emails 5 times but no other solution. I asked them to refund my money 4 times. Only in the last email, they said, they don't refund whilst also not providing me access to the workshop I bought...
After this experience, I must sincerely doubt that all of this reviews are honest and real. Feels kinda fraudulent to me...

I'm incredibly disappointed and will be taking my money back via my bank. I am just relieved that I did not buy the completely overpriced workshops.

In case you want to try this out, good luck. Hope it works out better for you. Just know that there are other (also free) options to learn coding. I have started one and haven't had any kind of drama there.

Learning to code as a beginner can be challenging, but it's also incredibly rewarding. Small projects teach you to think logically, solve problems and bring ideas to life on the screen. Every step, from writing the first HTML page to adding interactive features with JavaScript, builds confidence and I am hoping new opportunities will be opened.

They push you to register or else the discount of 15% does not apple anymore. And 1 Day after registration you receive emails with a 30% discount. And then it's to late to end your registration. All the good reviews are questionable! Don't fall for it. Do more research.
