For me the course was very useful. No time wasted for "getting to know each other". Overall very productive. I appreciated that feedback on provided material was anonymous and useful not only for the person whose slides/figures were shown, but also for the rest of the group. I would recommend the course to other scientists.

This workshop provides the perfect balance of practical tips and approach philosophy. As a result, I feel well advised and inspired in regards to the communication of my research.

This is one of the best courses I ever attended. I enjoyed a plethora of practical and applicable knowledge, supplemented with great examples. I have already implemented a lot of what I learned in my scientific visuals. I consider this course to be of great importance because no matter how good of a scientist you are, it will be futile if you cannot present and understandably communicate your science. I will recommend this course to my colleagues.

I really liked how the course was structured. The online courses were useful but even more the online workshop where you gave us direct tips on our slides and work.
To me it would be even greater if you can show us more examples where you show a "bad" slide and a following good one

this webinar is actually eye opening. A lot of information feel like common sense and yet we don't think about it! Now I feel like I improved my visual intuition and get more info out from visuals

The course was really interesting and of great value of knowledge about the use of visual communication to explain the science I am doing, based on criteria and explained with illustrative examples. Furthermore, the presenter's way of leading the course was excellent, the way he spoke clearly, concisely and with good tone and volume, made the transmission of ideas and messages possible.

I really enjoyed the one-on-one consulting in the last online seminar. It was well structured and working with examples from participants made it easy to learn about visualization. But the video workshop is very time consuming. I think it would have been good if the total time needed to watch the videos was highlighted in the registration email. Also, a handout summarizing the key messages from each video would be very helpful. This would make it easier to search for keywords to refresh certain theories.

Jernej creates a perfect online learning experience. His methods on how to create/present figures & slides can be applied immediately. His feedback is straightforward and very helpful.

If you have the opportunity to assist in the course, you will be amazed at how many little details can enhance the visualization of your research story and how others will understand it.

Great course for anyone starting or already advanced at communicating their research to different audiences. Lots of useful tips for making your science more understandable to all. I really enjoyed the live online workshop. The self-study videos were also great and I will be coming back to those.

I am extremely impressed by the Seyens training.  Dr. Jernej Zupanc is an amazing communicator and trainer, and thus the training effect is double as good. His content is well thought of and brilliantly delivered, as, at the same time, he is teaching the course and of course using his own methods in visual communication to do this: "Do as I say and do" in that case. And somehow he also makes it fun and entertaining. On top of that, he really knows his audience (AAZ framework) and provides scientific background and evidence on how audiences perceive information and our senses work. All  scientist and teachers should have this training at the start of their career or as a very good refresher.

After the course, I immediately saw benefits in my work and my presentations got immediately more appreciation

Very helpful workshop. The info and advice is actually useful and beneficial for my work as a scientist. Jernej is a good instructor, explains things in a easy way and gives great feedback for improving your own visual communication.

I was not a fan of the online training due to the breadth and depth of the fundamentals section, but the online training was worth it! My slides were featured numerous times, and I was able to get actionable feedback. For the other slides or figures, I was also able to learn and compare what I am doing to correct simple mistakes.
I would not hesitate to take this again.

It was really efficient and very useful workshop, which I have ever visited. Very well structured and the way, how it was presented, was amazing! It gave me a conception, what I have to include/ exclude in my scientific research that my audience can easilly get the message of the talk.
