So here is my review on Sewport. My younger brother asked to help him out and find someone who can produce the styles he had created. When choosing a company to work with my criteria was:

1) Transparency of pricing. I'm new to this so it is important to see how prices are given and why

2) The quality of sewing. Beeing a small brand, we can't compete with Chinese clothing in price so sustainable quality is what I was looking for. Obviously, you can compete in design but this is up to us then not them.

3) Communication. I’ve heard there might be a problem in communication with manufacturers from people in the industry.

I certainly did not regret choosing this company. Estimates provided by them were detailed and if we needed to change something along the way it was easy as we had a proper price breakdown (an extra plus!). This allowed us to manage the costs and drive them down where possible. We did not sacrifice on quality to achieve this. Everything came out proper. No handing threads etc. It was a pleasant experience, mostly because of the staff -very helpful and responsive. Something I wish other businesses had more of (wink)

Also got plenty of advice and help with picking the right fabric and explaining what the best option would be and how to fit in with the minimums for ordering fabric.

Advertises as 'UK clothing manufacturing services' and advertises on website for British manufacturing but manufacturing is done abroad. Some sampling, pattern making and tech packs may be done in Britain but their advertising is still misleading. Have spoken with them regarding this but they do not view this as a problem.
The quality is not bad for the price but their attitude to the above is disappointing.

I came across sewport by chance as I was surfing the Internet over the weekend. At first glance I thought, wow this stylish website, is this really for real? It described quite comprehensively the whole process of clothing manufacturing so I knew this site means business. Before spending time filling out a survey or emailing I just wanted to try out a mobile number that it sited and to my even bigger astonishment member of the sewport team was able to explain and answer all my queries. As I was told, I followed through with my query over the email and after around 2-3 back and forth of deciding the amount, choosing the fabric and getting a tech pack we agreed on a sample to be made.

I think it took them 2-3 weeks to send me back my sample which was of very good quality. So we agreed to proceed with the order, I prepaid half of the quoted amount (for such good quality and good service I thought it was a good price).
3 weeks later I received as promised 300 pieces of leggings that I ordered in 6 different styles. All came with the tags we agreed and all were flawless. I wired the rest of the order and got a call to thank me for my business.

From start to end - I received top service with polite sales people who understand the value of good customer service. I recommend sewport!
