I bought this bulb to replace one in the serious readers lamp which has been running without issues for over 7 years. I use the lamp every day for up to 5 hours and I’m pleased with both the lamp and bulb. Not cheap but worth every penny. Best buy I ever made.

Hi Sue. Thanks for sharing. Its a special bulb and they are now rare because the change in the law made us stop making them 5 years ago. We offer an upgrade to our new technology for those who prefer that. All the best. Alex (Pratt) Founder
Sorry for my earlier review. Serious Readers has explained to me how to resolve the issue.

Hi Antony. I'm glad we managed to help you get things working as they should. I hope your light makes a big difference. Alex (Pratt) Founder
The bulb was not that bright and it broke in the first week - but I think that indicates something is wrong with the light which is overheating the bulb?
