Awful, Disappointing Experience with…
Unfortunately a very similar experience to the other reviews!
I recently purchased a luxury handbag from Selfridges for nearly £1000, only to find out that it didn't meet my needs. I decided to return it for a refund. However, Selfridges has been unwilling to provide me with a refund and they are suggesting that the handbag I returned isn't the same one they initially sent me. This accusation is both unfounded and insulting. The bag I sent was the bag that was shipped to me! Selfridges' refusal to acknowledge this, despite one of their representatives initially acknowledging that the bag returned was indeed the same bag I ordered, is frustrating and unjustifiable.
I sought advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau who recommended pursuing alternative dispute resolution options. It's disappointing to have to go through such lengths to resolve a seemingly straightforward issue.
If you find yourself in a similar predicament with Selfridges, I would highly encourage you to seek assistance from the Citizens Advice Bureau and explore other avenues to resolve your concerns and make sure that you don't accept this as the final outcome.
Overall, my experience with Selfridges has been incredibly disheartening. It's unfortunate that a store as well known as them are doing this to innocent people.
I hope this review sheds light on the difficulties I encountered and serves as a cautionary tale for future customers.

I wish I could leave no star. I went today to buy a bag and the lady who gave the appointment slots was so rude. I bought from Dior and Gucci from Selfridges and they were so very nice. dont go to this LV store, I was told my bag was not in the store or anywhere else or the website which I found odd. I asked if they could let me know when it will be next instore and this lady told me NOP. so I went into the Bond Street one and the service was amazing, or by the way, the bag was available to buy. avoid going here if you can. I'm sure is because I wasn't all dressed up but hey I wanted to spend my money.

We saw a blue candle holder for sale…
We saw a blue candle holder for sale with no price showing. We asked a member of staff how much it was and he went to the store room wrapped it up and said that's £40. We were taken aback but bought it. When we got home both the box and the candle showed £30. When I phoned customer services they told us to bring it back but we live 400 miles away so it wasn't feasible.
Not happy at all with the service.

I had a severe reaction to a beauty product and customer service were rude, unhelpful and basically told me where to go. It’s a great seamless experience until something goes wrong and then all service goes out the window. John Lewis and other high street retailers are much better. I’d avoid online shopping here.

My experience in the Jimmy Choo…
My experience in the Jimmy Choo concession in the Birmingham store was brilliant. I was served by Max. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He is a credit to Jimmy Choo and Selfridges.
Ordered online
Ordered online. Got an email saying that some items were out of stock. From my bank transactions, I found out that I was fully charged.
Customer support reps were polite and tried their best. After 3 weeks with several chats and emails later, got my money refunded.
However, today I found that my cart is locked. It is as if Im the fraudulent one.
There is no reason to shop here
I placed an order last week and didn't receive an order confirmation, but when I logged in to my account the order was all there so I thought it was fine. Fast forward to today (my delivery date), I check the online account for the order status and find it's been cancelled! Again, no email. Contact their live chat only to be told, I don't know why it's cancelled, it could be a stock issue. They also don't know why I haven't received any emails and can't be bothered to look into it. There is no reason to shop here.

Do not buy Vivienne Westwood jewellery from Selfridges. But direct from Vivienne Westwood as they offer a 12 month warranty. Selfridges only give a 6 month warranty on returns
Easy shopping
Website was easy to navigate and they had a good selection of items. The apparel piece I was after was easy to order.
Rubbish!
Sefridges you’re an utter disgrace. You take peoples money and don’t supply the goods and then any form of refund takes days and days, weeks! Goodness knows how you’re still trading. My family’s mistake for not reading your appalling reviews before ordering from you. Either deliver goods ordered or don’t take online orders! Shameful.

Returned product but they kept my money
I received a damaged perfume back in February and tried to return for a refund. First I was told that my return was received, then I was told my return was received but not eligible for a refund, then I was told that my return was received but the box it was returned in was empty. I’ve tried communicating with Selfridges via the phone, via live chat, via email, and via social media on at least 16 occasions over the course of 6 months and there has still been no resolution at all!

Speedy delivery and nice packaging
I made two orders on a Sunday evening and both arrived on Tuesday. Well packaged and wonderfully wrapped. Nice products received.
Amazing customer experience
Everytime i can me into a store i get amazing customer service. The knowledge and help is just incredible from make up to perfume and being never being pressured into buying anything. They have so much patience seen as i am always so indecisive. Great staff in the Birmingham and both Manchester stores

I have just received the worst customer service I have ever received in my entire life! Your staff were rude, unhelpful and unprepared to do anything to help me at all!
I went to return a bra I had ordered online from you only be very surprised for a man who knows nothing about woman’s underwear to rudely tell me I should have read the small print and it can not be returned. He then went on to tell me you can’t get returns on bras anywhere wish is utter rubbish as ive returned to major retailers such as marks and Spencer, Victoria secret and boux Avenue all bra shops in the last week and they no issues at all with returning the exact same product .
I am now left with a bra that’s too small with no mention anywhere on the check out or order confirmation saying I can not return this. Apparently the small print is hidden somewhere and I was meant to read a hidden paragraph on your website!
I have no job as I am a full time career for my son awaiting his surgery and for a multi billion pound company to totally refuse my refund or even so much as a gift voucher is utterly disgusting!
Avoid this company at all costs!

Made my first order with Selfridges for…
Made my first order with Selfridges for some womens Veja trainers . I bought a size 6 and they were so small . They actually felt like a size 4 . So I returned them with a two day turnaround . I have just had an email saying they are not processing a refund £89. No reason just that someone will be in contact . I have just read reviews for this month and it appears everyone that is returning their goods , all in the packaging and unworn and it looks like I am to be accused of wearing the trainers on the one day they were in my possession . I fear that this is a scam or there are unscrupulous people in the returns warehouse maybe stealing designer goods to sell on . I categorically did not wear the trainers . I tried on the right trainer and immediately packaged them up in their box complete with tissue and cardboard inners . I am absolutely devastated to lose this money . I fear we are being conned . I am aghast as I thought this was an exclusive , high end department store . Something does not ring true about this. .I think trading standards need to be involved .
Dreadful service
Dreadful service. Received dispatch email, followed 30 minutes later by an email to say my item had been returned to warehouse. Followed by an email to say “unfortunately, we are unable to process a refund”??! Tried to get an explanation and response via Instagram and email, to no avail. Opened a Resolver case and they replied asking for photographic proof that my item is broken??! Nothing is broken??!! Nothing arrived!!! Tried to resolve via Livechat, had to explain the whole thing again, and was then told they’d open an investigation….despite me being told that would be done a week ago. Absolutely shoddy service. I’ve now missed the birthday that the item was intended for, and have neither the order nor a refund.
Update! The livechat person said I’d be given an update in 24 hours. Guess what……? I’ve had no update after more than 24 hours!!!
I have honestly never experienced such terrible and disorganised and frustrating and non-customer focused service in my life. Place an order online at your peril!
