Bad User Experience
Using Seek for applying for jobs as a working class man is like getting your passport confiscated if you were working in Dubai. The application process is ambiguous, they want to know everything about you, they want to share your information to other people, and they want you to upload personal documents. Thanks to lazy human resource departments and inept executives they have created a system which promotes resume lying and data collection two things which are a problem in modern society.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience. I have been in business 35 years and for some reason and they said they cant verify my business details. I paid $223 un US funds to advertise and they refund me $141.50 back. They made money off denying me. Stay away from these ppl. I now use one of their competitors and have no issues.
job title. description are not enough information
Seek weekly or daily emails alerts are listing jobs, but without a filed specific information in the listing itself. For example, i am actually from academics research filed and say looking for position in the filed of "biomedical research", or "Mechanical Material Manufacturing" or "Physics- nanomaterials". But when you the listing in the email doesnt give the information in the title of job, it only say the position say " Lecturer", and then remuneration etc... but not the field specifics, in which field they are looking for. The Job seeker, would only know after clicking each job position and go to another web page and then only will come to know if that profile is suitable or not. This way clicking each listing would take time and waste too.
I have sent email to seek thrice, but no action, except usual replies, "thank you for your feedback,.. bla bla bla..."
i am wasting time in clicking all links and closing as most are not suitable.
Fed up with seek.
All scam job posts
All scam job posts. Not getting any job, dropped dozens of resumes.
they sanitise reviews of large companies to protect their revenue stream
they delete negative reviews of large companies with toxic work culture that are written honestly without bias and within their guidelines as these large companies have such high staff turn over they're always advertising on seek.
seek cares more about its income than allowing fair reviews.
Seek still insisting on time consuming, annoying backward profiles pushing job seekers to apply direct to agencies & employers - making seek business reporting & statistics false.
Glad to see you can now have multiple resumes and cover letters. However you are still forced into mandatory profiles. Seek trying too hard to be like LinkedIn and it just doesn’t work. They were the number 1 job search platform and now they’re not simply because they’re making life too hard for job seekers. You can’t tailor your information to each job. If you’re applying to an employer for a retail manager job you don’t need to list your experience as a airhost. So you have to keep changing your whole profile every single time. And it’s mandatory to have a profile. Or you can choose “no work history” obviously not a good idea to put on an application to a potential employer. Who has time for this? Job seeking is hard enough. Used to be a good platform but well if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. From what I know from my network groups job seekers are getting the job information and applying directly to the employer or agency who is advertising so seek are doing themselves an injustice by trying to have their finger in every pie. Seek go back to simple and work on what you do best. Stop trying to be like others, stop forcing time consuming, annoying and backward mandatory profiles on your users who are working around them anyways and focus on what you do well, surely you can see your statistics and business reporting would be totally out of whack.
Terrible
Either the jobs posted are fake and are used for data mining purposes or the employers are just lazy disrespectful dogscum grubs who fail to reply to job applications, either way ITS BAD
Company reviews seem fake
Company reviews seem fake. Submitted a few over the years and they have not published the highly critical ones. I personally believe this is an unethical practice that can lead applicants to accept a job with a highly rated company when the experience is the company is toxic. Wouldn't trust them and what about the 5 star reviews with current employees
Very inaccurate job searches
Very inaccurate job searches. I signed up to get notifications for legal roles and instead I get completely irrelevant ads for jobs like procurement officer. Not helpful at all.

As a Company searching for staff i would never use them again, try sending them an email and you get no response the platform is about as good as holding a roadside sign when looking for staff, we have advertised twice with extremely limited success so try to contact the company to get some assistance like was our advert no good or why were we getting no suitable candidates, we also at the same time used a free platform (Gumtree) with the same advert and had great success so all i can say from an employers point of view DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

Beware of the scam jobs that Seek refuses to remove
I saw a work from home job advertised on Seek, and after clicking on the ad, it became apparent it was a scam (poor grammar, dubious claims, mixed information). So I did some research on the company and found out it was an Indian-based scam company that asks potential 'employees' for their bank details and personal information, and then sells it on the black market. Many people were subsequently hacked and had money stolen after supplying their bank details and passwords at the request of this company.
I reported it to Seek, thinking they would immediately remove it and take all steps to protect their job seekers from scams, fraud and cybercriminals, but to my surprise, they said they won't be removing the scam company. I checked back a few weeks later, and the scam company is still advertising on Seek, still luring victims in.
I would never use Seek again as now I can't be sure if I'm supplying my personal details to a scammer or a real company. Now I would only use LinkedIn jobs as I have never seen a scam company on LinkedIn so far.
Predatory website
Many of the advertised jobs appear to not exist (based on contacting advertisers that I knew personally), it is also impossible to apply for many of the advertised positions without registering with Seek.
A really solid service.
A really solid service.
Seek is the only way to search for jobs in Australia. The new job seekers tools that allow you to track applications are very delightful.
The interface can be a little clunky, but it's bearable for the search quality.
Many company reviews are fake
Many company reviews are fake. I have noticed a few, and spoke to other people about some employers. Many of the company reviews are clearly paid advertising. I have reported this to SEEK but they have done noting about it.

Used to be an ok site. Tried advertising on it recently. Dog piled by agencies trying to get my business. Got hardly replies from actual applicants. Not value for time or money.
